Answer: we switched to Unishippers - They are a large house that uses DHL (and some other companies). They have saved us about 30% off our UPS and FedEx.

Question: Has anyone taken their dog from Australia to UK and not used a specialist pet shipper? I am moving to the UK from Australia and wanted to know if anyone out there has ever taken a dog from Aus to UK and done it all themselves, not using a pet shipper. The specialist companies charge $$$ and I have heard its much cheaper to do it yourself, i.e. sort out paperwork, book flight etc.

Answer: Hi ya, Have done this years ago, and without using a company to organise, however it was all done by a friend who had a lot of expereince themselves. All worked out pretty good.... although, much much harder coming back the other way! good luck with the move

Answer: I tried DOBA for a year -- they make you buy a year subscription for like $300 or $400 and then they try to upsell you to all these add-on features. To me, they're just cashing in on people's dreams of selling on eBay for a living. eBay recommends them because they bring a ton of listing business to eBay. Everything DOBA sells is listed dozens of times by different eBay sellers. And that's the problem, soooo many people are using DOBA, that it's difficult to find anything unique to sell. Just look at some of the sample stuff they offer and then search for it on eBay -- you'll see dozens and dozens of people selling the same stuff wth the same photos and descriptions. Too much competition. And the prices aren't all that great either -- the mark up is slim. They base everything on suggested retail prices, which we both know: no one ever sells stuff for the suggested price -- especially on eBay. So already, you have to cut down your markup to compete with the others. They also carry very little in the way of name-brand stuff. I'd keep looking... One great place to start is Liquidation.com -- where you can pick up pallets of stuff -- including store returns to re-sell.

Answer: Try UPS. They are saving gas by making the routs so drivers only turn right. Also the new trucks are bio diesel.

Answer: I went through lists of hundreds from scammers on eBay and other sites online. Its hard to find a reliable Drop Shipper. After months of searching I found http://www.BuyatDiscounts.com who's actually a free dropshipper. They have other programs as well on the site. If you care to find out more go to their "about us" page. After the million scams I found on the net, it was nice to bump into a company that actually cared. Good luck... Answer: FedEx - more drop off locations. But if you have a choice - try DHL. They're cheaper and have better customer service.

Question: Has anyone successfully used a drop shipper for ebay auctions? My wife and I are interested in starting an ebay business...but we are not good at buying junk and determining how much we should pay for it and how much some one might bid on it....interested in drop shippers, are there any honest companies that do this?

Answer: yes I've used one and in general it worked well. Only thing is some of the newer people on ebay will leave negative feedback if they dont receive items fast, very though I had this written in my item description. Also ebay has a new rule where they suspend seller with less than 95% positive feedback, so if you're a new seller you have to be careful, as 2 negatives will leave you without an ebay account for 30 days

Question: Who come up with a contract betwwen a freight broker and a shipper? If i call a company and they tell me yea they can give me load will the send all the paperwork? Will they fax the contract and whatever?

Answer: A lot of companies do this stuff electronically now, so your best bet would be to get the software necessary to communicate with them. If you want to stick with paper and fax, your best option is to use smaller local carriers, who will be more likely to want to deal with you. The bigs will tell you to get lost. The locals will fax you (or e-mail) the contract and expect you to fax it back. BTW, they will not be too impressed if your spelling and grammar are not correct, so be sure to check any communications that you send out.
