Question: What qualities should a public transit bus operator have?
Answer: big cock
Question: Bay Area Rapid Transit Train Operator? I want to become a BART Train Operator in San Francisco, California. But all of my family lives in Ohio. Do you think it would be a good idea to go ahead and do it? I'd love to be a train operator because it's so peaceful and you work alone. I just don't know about moving to California to do it.
Answer: On a BART train the operator doesn't operate the train.BART trains are run by computer and all the operator is there for is as a fail safe.I talked to a BART operator once and she said it was a pretty boring job in many ways.I don't know how much they earn but San Francisco is a very expensive city to live in.It is a great city though.
Question: How much Mayflower Transit long-haul moving owner-operator truck drivers make in a year?
Answer: why not just go to the site and find it, i looked it up for you, its 2 different fleets, hope i don't need to tell you to click on the "tell me more" to find out in detail about the different fleets

Question: When can public transit operator physically remove passenger prior to sending silent alarm alert on vehicle? During a verbal altercation with another passenger, the bus operator became angry and physically removed me (threw me from top steps) from the vehicle which caused me to break my wrist upon landing on concrete sidewalk, among other injuries. Since the activities/altercation between myself and the other passenger was verbal only, wasn't the bus operator suppossed to first use his silent alarm to alert the transit police considering there was no physical contact between any parties or was it okay for him to use his own discretion to solve his annoyance through the physical assault he inflicted upon me, as described. Do I have a basis for a lawsuit to offset my medical bills and loss of employment? What does it say in his WMATA bus operator guide, which I'm having trouble acquiring from that organization. Please advise, or contact me at (202) 509-5247. Thanks.
Answer: Never, never give out your personal info!!!
He doesn't have to use the silent alarm unless there is a robbery, a guy with a gun or knife threatening people, etc. He should have told you to get off the bus. He had no right to put his hands on you. No one does, regardless of the situation. He would have the right to throw you off the bus but by saying it, not physically doing it. Skip calling the company and just get a lawyer. They will do the leg work for you. The bus co. probably won't talk to you because of the allegations. Good Luck.
Question: What is your experience with the transit operators? Do you take public transit to and from work? Do you have any bad experience with the transit drivers? With so many attacks on bus drivers each day, what do you think was the causes? In your opinion, do you think the bus drivers caused most of the trouble or the passengers?
Answer: its mostly the passengers (usally some teenagers
like try to not to pay or passing a pass between friends
or writing graffit on the bus, very rare is it the bus operator
sometimes the bus operator can be in a bad mood
but 9 times out of 10 its the passenger who is trying to
cheat the system,,
Question: Describe Uniform, If Any, of One Public Transit Operator.? Wanted to know if there are common color or attire elements.
They all don't look like actors of a funny old television show, do they?
Describe one from head to foot.

Question: how much do foothill transit coach operators make ? Any body know how much do foothill transit drivers make.
Or how much they start with. Maybe you work there or someone you know.
Answer: bus drivers barely make a living
Question: Are there any more female transit buffs or railfans out there? I am a female who loves trains, especially elevated/subway trains. I'm wondering if I'm the only woman that does, or what. Not knowing of any others, makes me feel like an outcast. In fact, I've even applied to be a motorman(Combined Rail Operator), for the Chicago Transit Authority!
Answer: You are definitely not alone as a female railfan, but you are in an extreme minority.
However, be positive. Several weeks ago, I had my picture taken by a female fan, and I was quite surprised. Well dressed (no sweat pants, etc.), looked presentable, and no hideous deformities. What I'm getting at is this female could accurately be described as "normal" (you can't always say the same for the males).
If you enjoy the hobby, stay the course, and have fun with it. Remember to wave and smile at the train crews - I brag to my co-workers every time a nice looking girl waves to my train. :-)
Question: Do I need a visa to transit through India? I am flying into Calcutta airport and leaving on the next connecting flight (5 hours later). I have a UK passport. The information on the Indian embassy website is ambiguous and I can't get in touch with them. My flight operator has said I shouldn't need one if I am not leaving the airport and I am there for less than 24 hours. Do I need a transit visa?
Answer: As a transit traveler you do not need a visa, but you have to stay in the transit area and do not clear customs.
A transit area in an Indian airport is not a fun place to hang out, though!! Calcutta airport is fairly small, bring a good book and lots of patience!
Question: How to Become a BART Train Operator? For the people who live in the San Francisco Bay Area how do you get a job driving the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit)? Is there special training and getting a special license driving the BART? I heard all you need is basic computer knowledge; however, I think there is more to it than just knowing computers. I want to know if I can get a part-time job as a BART train operator. Do any of you guys know the process or have worked for BART in the past? Where do I apply for this job?

Question: What federal and state laws govern mass transit system ex RTS bus service in Rochester NY? Rochester Transit System is a unit of RGRTA and has a union local 282 for its bus operators and mechanics etc. The company is publicly funded by state and federal monies. What state and federal laws and or regulations are we governed by? We are not state employees or federal employees. Please help clarify!! Thanks
Answer: Wow, I'm from Rochester too. . .
I'm not a lawyer or anything, but this site might be able to help you:
http://www.fta.dot.gov/leg_reg.html
It's the Federal Transit Administration, part of the Department of Transportation.
Question: Relief Bus Operator? What does that mean? I want to apply for a transit and they only have openings for Relief Bus Operator. What does this mean?
I'm applying for various transits in Los Angeles and there's this one transit that have openings for Relief Bus Operator. What does that mean?
Answer: DOT rules dictate that a driver can only drive so many hours in a day. Then a new driver with"fresh" hours will have to take over to keep that bus moving.
In this case you will drive the bus filling in for the regular drivers until another regular driver is ready to take over for you.
As long as you stay within a radius(might be 100 miles but don't quote me on that)you can work off a clock and have no real need for a logging system.
So essentially you are a fill in temp.

Question: Question for city bus drivers, specifically in London, Ontario? My friend has gotten an interview with the LTC in London for a city bus driver (transit operator). Just wondered if anyone has any information about the hiring process ie. what type of interview questions she may be asked, etc. She's been told it's a video interview with 50 questions about why she wants to work there, and 50 personal questions. Are the questions typical of a behavioural interview? Hope someone out there can help with some more information. Thanks.
Answer: http://www.londontransit.ca/Pubs/OperatorBrochure-Formatted.pdf
Here is the guide from the web site...
This is a government interview so it will be typical and fair for all persons. Have a great night's sleep before and a meal before you go.
...Do not listen to others experience, it will cloud your friends judgment. Be real and you will get the job.

Question: I'm looking for a job as a bus operator in NYC? I have experience in operatoring a bus. I've worked for NYC transit
Answer: dude, youre too sexy to be a bus operator in the big apple.

Question: Has anyone ever met a Jew that was poor, did nasty hard work and was honest, friendly and clean? Have you ever met a Jew that pumped septic tanks. Or that did any of the hard physical labor? IThe practices the Jews enter are not needed for society to run. I mean we really don't need doctors, lawyers, dentist, or physchiatrists or bankers. Sure some people need them but they don't make society run. Although if we didn't have carpenters, road builders, bridge builders, factory workers, mass transit operators, farmers or people who have to do dirty nasty work society wouldn't operate so well.
So would you say the world would be a better place without Jews?
Answer: Yes, I have. I lived in Israel, where Jews do every type of job. Street cleaning, plumbing, everything.
Anti-semites like you are a waste of brain cells.
Question: Why does Access Transit ask if one wants a call-out (phone call to where one is to be picked up from),? but they won't honor it and they blame the customer for missing the ride? I've called Access for a pick-up the next day and the operator asked if I wanted a call-out. I said yes. But the following day, I'm waiting. . . , waiting . . ., waiting . . . and no pick up. I have missed important meetings 'cause of this.
I ask for a return pick up and have been picked up several times. Yet this time I was sitting out on the porch where the meeting was held and no Access Transit came to the place, but when I called to complain about it, the operator naturally said he was there. Not!
I'm one for standing up for my rights and most of the time, it gets resolved. How can I get anything done with these people when it's just my word against theirs? Witnesses will agree, but I'm here standing alone on this. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
Answer: I'm guessing they make their money from the state, so they couldn't care any less if you are there for your ride or not.
As Peanut has stated, find someone who is willing to
pick you up.
