Question: What is a technical architect in biotech? apparently, a tech architect earns an avg of $95,000 per annum but what exactly is it?
Answer: A technical architect is the guy who oversees the technical aspects of architecture. I realize that might seem a bit redundant. Allow me to clarify. There are technical things that must be overseen in architecture. In biotech, they employ people to technically architect biotechnical things.
Most of their time is spent typing on computers. Some of their time is spent doing "research". The rest of their time is spent doing absolutely nothing while pretending to be busy. For that, they make about $95K.

Question: Technical Architect solution as architect , I get confused are they involved in implementing or just design? Technical Architect/ Solutions Architect , I get confused what do they do? Are they involved in implementing or just the design on software , whats the difference between solutions Architect and technical Architect sames thing right ?
And what about programme manager whats that ?
someone help me with job titles and where they fit ion with the lifescyle of enterprise software please
Answer: Just to share my thoughts with you, at first I was also confused by the terminology, but eventually I figured it out. technical architect solution are the one who makes the design of the system. Initially they design the database, forms, process and ui of the software to be developed. Unlike the system developers, software architects may not necessarily participate in the coding of the software. just like building a house, an architect makes the design while the construction guys build it. the software architect designs the software, while the developers or programmers codes it.
Question: Technical Architect college requirements? I'm looking to plan the rest of high school around my career choice. I've read numerous descriptions of the job and know it's what I want to do. The only problem is I can't find any college requirements for it. I keep getting technical institutes. I'd like for someone to find me a couple colleges WITH requirements that I can look into. Grades are not an issue, so don't worry about any of that.
Answer: I am currently an architecture student at a technological university. I took a CAD and drafting class each year since 10th grade of High School. Any class in high school that can teach you CAD and Revit are excellent for your future in architecture. Construction classes won't hurt either.
However, when I entered college, I found that most of the people in my major knew little to nothing about Architecture. I'm pretty sure there aren't much requirements from high school other than grades and ACT or SAT scores, but it does give you an edge over a lot of students. Your classes will be a lot easier also.
Question: What is a technical architect?
Answer: I would imagine it would be an architect that specialised in structural calculations etc. of the given form, rather than an architect that simply came up with a concept.
Question: Can anyone recommend a good technical artist for kitchen plans near Caernarfon (not architect). Thanks. Lin.?

Question: Wanting to be an Architect but i am from Normal Technical..? I am now a Secondary 4 guy who wishes to be an Architect when I grow up. But the thing is, I am from Normal Technical. Being a NT student has been very hard for me but not academicly but mentally. What i mean is, I am not threated as an individual but as someone who people look down to. I really wanted to be an Architect when I grow up but I think that Normal Technical student often grow up not being very wealthy and happy. They often work as engineers, etc with a basic pay of S$1800 and below. But I wish to be more than that, having higher pay. The good news is, I am one of the smartest in my class. I am top for Math, Science and EOA in class and often get an average grade of As and Bs and I think I can ace my N levels but will not be able to promote to Secondary 5 because of my Mother Tounge(50/50 that i will pass). I do not want to go to ITE as people would threat me differently.. So could anyone tell me what to do? What would be my next step? What must I do/take after my N levels?
Answer: OK, you are in Secondary 4 which I can say is quite a critical year. Firstly to answer your main question, you can definitely become an architect even if you are from the Normal Technical stream if you focus on your goal and work towards it.
Secondly, I can only advise you not to be affected too much by people who look down on you just because you are from NT. Those kind of people are shallow in thinking. As long as you feel confident of yourself as shown in your above paragraph, you need not bother too much about other's negative opinions.
Thirdly, even if NT students work as engineers or any other not so popular jobs how do you know they cannot be wealthy and happy? Engineers are well sought after in the job market too. If you think these people are too ordinary, earning just $1800 and below and have the ambition to do better than them, I say you are not wrong. You have the right to have a greater ambition and a better future for yourself.
Next, as I did not come from the normal stream, I don't really understand why you cannot be promoted to Secondary 5 just because of your not so good mother tongue. If you manage to do well enough in MT, would you be able to be promoted? If that is the case, you should work hard to try get to Secondary 5 so that you can attempt "O" Level from where you can progress further in your education easier.
If not, the longer way will be through ITE. As for people treating you differently if you study in ITE, as I have said, you do not have to bother too much about them. I think the majority of people understand that ITE students can be capable too. There have been stories of how employers appreciate having an ITE graduate because of the hands-on education they receive and also stories of many successful ITE graduates such as this one here. This guy also came from NT and has graduated from ITE and polytechnic.

Finally, to become an architect in Singapore, you will need an architectural degree from university. The common ways you can get to university here is through Junior College which is the easiest and polytechnics which is a much harder way unless you are that good. So if you do not get promoted, you can probably go to ITE and study something like Building Drafting (http://www.ite.edu.sg/ft/alphaorder.htm before moving to a polytechnic to study something like Architecture at Singapore Polytechnic (http://www.polytechnic.edu.sg/polyguide/… before moving on to NUS or foreign universities to get that degree. Or maybe you can take "O" Level at a private school before applying for a polytechnic.

For more professional advice, you should go have a nice chat with your form teacher. If you are not comfortable with that, you should go talk to your school counsellor or the head of student welfare. They should be able to look at your situation better and give you useful advice.
Lastly, do your best for "N" Level exams and enjoy your life as a 16-year-old after that because you will never get that kind of experience again.
Question: Hello, I'm in college right now and I am thinking to be an architect, but there is so much architecture jobs architecture jobs as project architect, landscape architect, Licensed Architect, Solutions Architect, Data Warehouse Architect, Enterprise Architect, Software Architect , J2EE Architect , Technical Architect, Information Architect, Senior Application Architect, and Java Architect. If someone know the difference between them, can you please tell me a different between all them and what they do, in a very brief information or any clues about the. And what is a right one. There so many, and I'm confused about what I have to pick. Thank You.
Answer: I assume your not looking into teaching English and it is your second language. If you don't understand the differences, talk to a counselor or look them up on the internet. It's a big choice and you don't walk into senior positions. Most places start you at the bottom and you work your way up-if you can. Also find out how long it takes to get to the place you think you want to be. How much you will earn as you go along? How much time off? Perks? Call someone up in the position that you think you desire and ask if you could come talk to them. Have a list of questions about how fulfilling the job is, responsibilities, etc. Make sure the job fits you and the lifestyle you want to have and that you can be happy doing that forever. . .
Question: What are the qualifications, experience needed to become a Software Architect? Is there certification/course? I have 10+ years in IT and would like to choose Technical path rather than management.
Answer: Experience working with Java architects has taught me...
1) Software architects are required by law to be absolutely horrid programmers. Practice writing loops that eat up all available memory (because "that's how you do it") and bring down the server, then complain that the server needs more memory. Delete functioning cross-browser code (because "that's not how you do it") and then make the code so it only works in IE.
2) Software architects are also required to have incredibly inflated egos and to always be experts at everything. Everyone else is an idiot. Practice shooting down the opinions of the "lesser" programmers. Research new ways to reinvent the wheel. Remember, org.w3c.dom is ok, but you could write wrapper methods around it and make something that only you understand, making yourself invaluable to your employer. Who needs Struts and Hibernate when you can spend a year developing your own broken framework on the company's dime?
