Question: How much does a Technical Support Analyst earn? and does anyone know the requirements involved in the job, whether it hard or easy?
Answer: pay and requirement vary from place to place.
Also even the role varies.
In Australia (where I live) back when I was doing 1st Lvl Helpdesk (this is about the same type of role for internal IT support) I was earning anywhere from 40 to 50k depending on where I was working.
Now days to break into the field you usually need either some type of uni (college) degree or a microsoft certification of some kind, MCSE or MCP (think they call it MCE now) or CISCO certification, both cost lots $$$.
Whether it is hard is a question only you can answer. It is all a matter of your apptitude towards computer technology.
Question: What is the job of Technical support analyst?
Answer: You usually answer phones and then help people troubleshoot the issues. It is important to be very hands-on familiar with the product itself. You should know how to install and use it. You should know how all the options work. You should know what workarounds exist.
You should also have the contacts inside the company to ask questions when something comes up that you cannot answer.
And you should have a thick skin, since many people will call you up when they are angry.
Question: I have to take support turnover in my new role as business Analyst. Does anyone have good questions to ask? An expert SME has been supporting various applications, I now have to fill his role and conduct all the business analyst and related business support tasks. Does anyone have any tips as to important questions to ask or where I can find any? Besides finding out who he has been dealing with and getting him to give his knowledge to me (good luck) , explain system process. I don’t have any structured approach at this point. Additionally, I am concerned I won’t get much information from him and I could be left holding the bag in this role without any training or information….
Answer: First thing is: relax. If you are intelligent, and have some training on the subject, things will happen naturally. No one will expect you to know everything from start.

Question: Is anyone looking for a Support Analyst ? I may know one///
Answer: No.
Question: I am a systems analyst. Recenlty I was asked to do on- line support 4 days per month, 24 hours per day. How? How do I deal with this? It's only 4 days per month but it is driving me nuts and I have never been called. Every day that I am on call, I fully expect to be called that night--at 1 am, 3 am, etc. I find this completely draining and very stressful. Yet I love all of the other aspects of my job. Any advice about how to deal with this would be greatly appreciated.
Answer: I am no longer in that situation myself but I work with others that are similarly oncall one of more days per month. They basically go about their daily lives but keep in close proximity to their home where they have a computer which is set up to handle the calls if they come in. So you need to develop a routine that incorporates your job but not let this consume you.
Hopefully you will work your way out of this situation and so just hang in there a while longer and remember that you are getting some experience and a line item on your resume for the future.
Question: Interview questions for Technical support analyst?
Answer: 1. Why do you want this job?
2. How do you see yourself excelling at this job?
3. What previous experience have you had in tech support?
4. How would you handle a situation with an irate customer?
5. What is your educational background?
