Question: How good are CCSP & MCSE IT certifications if one is pursuing a career as a financial specialist? I am a financial specialist, however, I am in the process of getting a CCSP & MCSE. How advantageous is those certifications as a financial specialist with the DoD?
Answer: Financial specialists don't need computer certifications. I don't get it.
If you are actually providing security network services and microsoft services, you're not really acting as a financial specialist at all.
Question: i have a mcse degree form microsoft company . can i start getting a master degree without having a bachelor? i don't know if MCSE is equal to a bachelor degree . i want to start for getting a master degree in any course . can i start for getting a master degree if i don't have a bachelor degree ? how and where ?
Answer: You will have to get a bachelors degree before perusing a master's degree.
Question: What are the best study materials for the MCSE certification exam? I want to self-study for the MCSE certification exam. I have access to the software, but I don't know which texts are best to use. Any suggestions?
Answer: Try using MOC books they are based on the curriculum for the certification tests. You can also look at CBT training videos that you can use as a virtual teacher.
Use VMware to install trial software and follow the labs in the book and you should learn quite fast.
Question: How long does it take to get an MCSE (or similar) certificate? I'm an experienced computer programmer with 3-4 years of real-world experience.
But I don't know much about networks, or writing windows applications. (I've worked in embedded systems and computer graphics)
So how long would it take me to learn everything I need to learn to get the MCSE?
Answer: Generally speaking , it will take us one year and a half through training and practing 4 hours a day ,but just for you , I think you can take the exam and get the certificate smoothly a year later.Good luck !

Question: What certifications should I get before going for the CCNA and the MCSE? I have limited knowledge in computers. But, I'm a fast learner, and I heard that if I go for the A+ and N+ certifications, then I'll have enough knowledge to comprehend (and study) the CCNA and MCSE material. If there are any other certifications (other than the A+ and N+) that I should go for before the CCNA and MCSE, please let me know.
Thank you.
Answer: That is a very good way to go. A+ and N+ are not required for the MCSE, but will help a lot.
What you need to have to be successful is the rest of your education. Employers demand people who have commiunication skills not just communications skills. So, be a person who can work with people and read, write, & speak intelligently in addition to knowing what color switches to flip on or off.

Question: Is MCSE and Cisco Networking the way to go In the States? I took a fast track course in MCSE and Cisco networking in another land. I dont have a certificate in them yet, should I continue to pursue
something in it in Texas?
Answer: From what I've seen it seems that the MCSE is the most desirable of the two certifications you mention that are used by those companies that lack managers competent of evaluating talent. I've interviewed far too many certified idiots to take any certification seriously, I only consider their work experience and education before interviewing them.
Question: How Can I Break Into The IT industry with a junior role where Im an MCSE in Win 2003? Currently work in a call centre to make ends meet and to pay off my fees for this MCSE course.
Answer: The fact you HAVE an MCSE will make it a whole lot easier to break into an admin role so you have a leg up right there.
First you should be networking with everyone you know in IT, if you don't know anyone then join the local Small Business Server user group (if there is one) or another local group like that. Once you know a few other guys in the industry you can ask them for help or maybe they can refer you for a position with their company. Networking will get you most of your jobs, don't underestimate it.
Secondly hit up recruitment agencies and sites like Seek, you will find that they will take a second look at your application if they know you are MCSE certified.
Thirdly just work on your resume, presentation and all the other standard job hunting skills and you should have a good shot at a job.
Question: How can I get MCSE certified so that I can begin my IT career in the computer industry? I have a small background in computers having studied computer science in college. I was also computer manager at circuit city for a few years. I have been in various sales positions over the last 8 years and now I want to get MCSE certified so that I can get into the computer industry as a Windows Admin. Any advice from any IT professionals. Advice from others welcome too! Thanks!
Steve
Answer: You will either get MCSE certified with a company you work for or you might want to contact a local college's IT department or the MCSE probably has a website.
Question: How can I search Microsoft Learning Partner for MCSE in my city? I want to search Microsoft Learning Partner for MCSE in my city because I want to do MCSE.
Answer: What city are you in?
