Answer: As someone who worked in the computer field, I could honestly say "Yes, it will help in a huge way because everything is computerized but do yourself a huge favor and go back to school and earn at least a Bachelor's Degree in either Computer Science or Computer Engineering after earning your certificate." I'm currently at ITT tech for multimedia but I would like to attend this local community college who I saw online offer courses leading to MCP but how how is it to get this certification? I've asked my teachers and they always direct me to get photoshop certifications. If you are good at self study, then I would advise either looking into Microsoft Press for the self-study book, or looking at CBT Nuggets. CBT Nuggets are CDs that you can purchase that offer you video guided instruction. That may be the best option if you would prefer to see the product as you are learning it. Otherwise, if you purchase the book, it often comes with a trial version of the software that you can install and play around with. Whenever you are coming through some pratice labs in MS Press books. Just do it in test environment. You can use VMWARE for installing virtaul machines and just practise the labs in virtual machines.
