Question: What's the best way to make money on the side? During the current crash in the economy here in New York, it's hard as hell to find a decent job. Even for someone with extensive experience in certain fields like me. Are there any skills/trades/services that you can charge regular people for without getting fined by the Police?
Answer: You'll have to do some research to figure out if what you have experience in can be done outside of a company. Try checking out your local craigslist because they have a place where you can advertise your services to the average person. I've seen things on there like photography, DJ's, catering, handyman work, cleaning, drywall installing, etc.
Question: On craigslist i am posting in phx arizona. I am posting under services. And then under skilled trade.? It gives u a choice to either post it under west valley, phx north, east valley and central/south phx! Now i post in usually the east valley! Then it tells me this:
please note: your posting will also appear on the main phoenix site
Ok so i posted on the east valley. After i posted that i went under the phx site and went under (all)cause there is a section for all of the east, west, north combined. And well the add i posted is not in the (all)catagory just in the east valley. How do i get it in the all catagory?
please note: your posting will also appear on the main phoenix site
This states its supposed to be in the catagory (all)north, west whatever. So ya please explaine why this is not showing up or please help me get it under the all catagory.
Here are some pics that i took to show people on yahoo answers to what im talking about.

Question: Giving Services going on mission trips? I was just wondering if anyone knew of any organizations or had a website I could go to that gave details about giving my services or going on mission trips. I really just want to be able to go and travel and help people.
I would prefer something in Latin America, so I could try to learn to speak spanish more fluent, but anywhere would work. It doesn't necessarily have to be with a religious affiliation. I have no trade skills that I know of, but I would like to give my time and service.
thanks :)
Answer: Since you have no work experience and don't speak Spanish, you need to be ready to pay for your experience entirely -- flights, in-country transportation, health insurance, accommodation, food, security, translators, training, staff to create the service opportunities and then to supervise and support you in your service, liaisons with the police and local officials, etc. That will be at least a few thousand dollars.
Organizations that don't charge fees for placing volunteers in the developing world, such as VSO Canada, UN Volunteers and the PeaceCorps, are looking for people who can work (read, write and speak) in a language other than English, who have skills and experience that can lead to local people generating income, better feeding their families, improving children's health, etc., or that can lead to the transformation of key institutions, such as government, universities/schools or NGOs. They are looking for people who can commit to a two-year assignment, who have experience working with under-served communities, or who have a lot of experience in very diverse or religiously-conservative communities.
Here is a web site that can help you learn more about the skills and experience desired by long-term placement organizations, or organizations that don't charge volunteers but require volunteers to be highly-skilled, and how you can start to gain such experience locally, wherever you are now. You are never too young nor too old to start engaging in activities and training that will make you a viable candidate for long-term volunteer placement agencies:

The goal of organizations working in poor countries is to give the local people jobs and to keep money local, not to give Westerners a feel-good vacation/experience -- hence why short-term placement agencies (in contrast to the aforementioned) charge unskilled volunteers a fee, or require these volunteers to pay their own way.
There is a listing of the more-than-30 member organizations of the International Volunteers Program Association (IVPA) that is a good place to find reputable volunteer-for-a-fee programs -- programs where you don't need to have much experience in order to participate, and the placements are just for a few weeks or months:

Question: Does anyone know of a good web-hosing company that provides good services and charges at an inexpensive price? I want to start a website that contains my various skills. I can do bookkeeping, build a computer, write business plans, interpret for the Deaf Christians, race relations motivation speakers, and my other talents. .I have a list of Christian friends who are in different business or trade.
In my site, I can help you find a solution or direct you to a person who does for a modest fee. Does anyone know of a good web-hosing company that provides good services and charges at an inexpensive price?
Answer: Ive heard some good things about 1&1 hosting. Google them to get more info
Question: Are there any groups in Sydney, Australia who volunteer their trade skills for a short period to the disabled Does anyone know whether there are groups of big hearted people who offer volunteer services for the disabled, aged and the like, to do handyman or trades type jobs please? I am disabled, ill, and suffering psychological problems and have been put in small house where I need some help with preparing soil and moving plants from another location, a shed built out of recyled timber, some bookcases made with my help and a couple of smaller jobs like putting up a curtain track and the curtains, some brackets, raising the dryer. I am GENUINE so please don't hurt me anymore. I have worked for Worldvision for 30 years but have had to retire because I have lost my health working in some pretty awful conditions. I also have almost no money since I funded myself as a volunteer with my photojournalism never anticipating what would happen and didn't save for what has happened. I have tried so many avenues and would be so happy to help those in kind who would help me get set up and so grateful.

Question: What career to choose in life. Skilled Trade vs. Higher Education such as Earning an MBA.? I'm 25 years old. I had a short career in acting and modeling with with very little earnings. I also graduated college with a Bachelors Degree in Business, and also graduated Bartending School earning a license. Yes, I bartend part-time. I've had a few job prospects in the Business Field, but I did not find them too promising.(70 hour work-week, minimum starting pay, etc.) However, I have chosen an alternative work field "Plumbing" which has paid me more money than I've ever made in any other field of work. I have a few friends who think I'm crazy, stupid, and not living up to my full potential because I work in field that is very labor-instensive, dirty, digusting, and negatively stereotyped. I generally have a 5 day work week with some overtime, and make anywhere from $600-$2,000 per week doing plumbing service work. Keep in mind that these friends that criticize me are still working on their MBAs, still live off their parent's money, and do not have a regular income. Advice Please..
Answer: If you are up to more education, I read today that there is a shortage of engineers in our country!!
Question: Would you be willing to trade for goods and services on a barter basis? What are your views? Why can/can't we use a barter system anymore for goods and services we need? There is always someone out there who needs someone who can do what we can't. And we usually have some skill or item that they need! What are your opinions?

Answer: Look up Local Exchange Trading Systems (LETS). It works fine in lots of places.
I belonged to a meitheal (LETS) and it worked really well at a time when I had very little money and so did everybody else. We traded produce for labour, talent for whatever else we needed. Not active now we all have more money in our pockets.
http://www.answers.com/topic/local-excha… will show you examples still in operation in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Europe, Japan and South Africa
