Question: What legal protection is there for beneficiaries from a caretaker changing a will? If a caretaker is given power of attorney to allow them to care for the elder person, but uses this to change the will, is this legally allowed?
Answer: actually i think it depends on the state but typically NO!
my husband is militiry and i have power of attornet of him in case somthing happens to him but he can set his will how he wants ot. i cannot change it.
Question: What does a caretaker do at a senior living center? my friend got hired as a caretaker, not a cna, what will a caretaker do?
Answer: Changing sheets and diapers, giving baths, feeding people.
Question: How does you help a caretaker of a child that has a life threatening condition or is terminally ill? This question is for the forgotten victims of an illness. How can I help someone that is caring for two sick children and claims they need no help. I want to do something special for this caretaker.
Answer: Tell them that if they ever do, you will be there. Also just call up, not showing concern, but just to say g'day every now and then.
Sometimes offering help can come across as condescending, and they might push you away.
Just be a normal friend, if they want you to be.
Question: What happens to an adult with cognitive a disability when their primary caretaker dies? Pretty self explanatory, but I was just wondering what is known to happen. Are they temporarily put in foster care until former caretaker's wants are discovered and implemented? Any info on this would be appreciated. Thank you.
Answer: I think they would look to see if other family would care for this person, or they would look at a residential group home. If someone could not live in an environment like this, then they might look at a state hospital. Hopefully this is not necessary.
Question: How much should i pay my home caretaker for my house that i visit maybe once a year? house caretaker salary and what kind of duties should they do? and how often should they visit the house.
Answer: If you are planning to let them visit your abandoned house, pay them at least a minimum of 2,500 pesos per month. Let them visit your house every weekend and tell them to clean it from the inside to your backyard.
But salary depends with the location, if its in the province 2,500 pesos per month is enough but if its within the city maybe like 3,000 per month is enough.
Question: When should a caretaker tell on their clients? A friend of mine is a caretaker for some children, and she is worried about how their parent is caring for them. She's told me about incidents involving their safety and feeding. The children's school even spoke to her about their frequent absences. She would like to talk to a social worker or counselor about all she's seen.
The parent claims that all my friend's allegations are lies, and has threatened her with a suit for slander and invasion of privacy.
When does the client's privacy outweigh the duty to report possible harm to the children?
Answer: When it comes to the safety and welfare of children, there is no expected right to privacy. Even doctors are required to report cases where they feel a child is being abused.
She should report it. Social services will then investigate to determine if abuse is actually take place, then they should take the appropriate action.
And as for a lawsuit from the parents: If she is acting in good faith for the protection of the child, they would have a real hard time proving their case and winning it.
Question: What you think about the Caretaker Government in Bangladesh? The Caretaker Government of Bangladesh is a goverment that takes the power after a ruling government finish its five years. Then the Nutral Caretaker Goverment rules the nations for 3 months to place a fare election for all the parties in Bangladesh. No other counties have adopted any such govermnet in history. Only Bangladesh has it. Do you think its a good idea to have a caretaker goverment in every country to have a fare election chances?
I forgot to add this --- The military did not step in and took the power. It is actually helping the current government to accomplish its goal.. which is abolish corruption.
Answer: the caretaker govt. is doing one hell of a great job right now. ..i hope they stays put. if u know what I mean?
Question: Why do all my dogs bite my caretaker? My caretaker is the one who feeds, baths, plays and takes care of my dogs but why do they still hate my care taker? Almost every time the caretaker comes close they start to growl and sometimes bark.... and even bite! I realy need to know this because my caretaker is realy getting fed up!
Answer: Were you around when your caretaker is taking care of your dogs? Your caretaker might not be treating them well or even to the extent of abusing them without your knowledge.
Most caretakers loves their jobs because they themselves loves dogs. But not all. Some of them do it because its easy money to them.
Try to take note of your caretakers behavior next time when he comes over to take care of your dog. See how his temperament is. Your dogs won't growl and bite for no reason as dogs loves people who takes care of them.

Mainly he will cut grass and look after the trees that are growing and maintain the are clean and do some houseworks. I plan to hire 3 caretakers to look after the land. How much salary and benefits is reasonable?
Answer: It all depends on where you are, what legal requirements exist, what the level of employment is, what the prevailing wage is, and what non-salary benefits you are including.
Question: How do I get a job at a nice zoo or wildlife refuge as an animal caretaker/trainer? I've always wanted a job as an animal caretaker/trainer (NOT a vet) such as those seen on shows like "Growing Up" on Animal Planet. However, I've had a hard time finding out any information about this job, such as the official job title, job requirements, average pay, etc. If there is any information people have from experience, or if anyone knows any resources for additional information it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! =)
Answer: You'd be a trainer or a keeper (zookeeper, keeper at a rescue, etc).
Work on getting lots of experience with animals. Before and/or during college see if you can volunteer at a zoo. Most zoos offer opportunities for youth and teens to go to camp, be a camp counselor, or be a jr keeper, etc. See what your local zoo offers. However, if you can't volunteer at a zoo or with exotic animals, work with other animals. Any animal experience is better than none. There are also a couple colleges that have a teaching zoo, so you can get experience as well as an education. A lot of times, zoos will look more at your experience than your degree.
While you may not "need" a degree, depending on the zoo you apply to, you should get at least get an Associates (2 yrs); though a Bachelors (4 yrs) or higher would be better. Look through some of the job listings at AZA to see what some of the education requirements to work at a zoo. A degree will also give you an insight to animal behavior, animal husbandry/care, basic vet knowledge, etc (look at some college course catalogs to see what you'll be learning in the classes and what classes you need to take for the degree). Zookeeping is a very competitive field, so any edge your can get over your competition will be helpful.
After you get your degree it still might be hard to get a job right away. You might need to do an internship and/or work some other job (at the zoo or somewhere else) till a position opens up.
Here are some links. I hope they help. Good Luck.

How do I become an animal keeper?
There is no single way to become a keeper, but the more education and hands-on experience you have, the better.
Education– While you’re in school, learn as much as you can in your science classes. In college, choose a degree program in animal-related fields like biology, zoology, botany, ecology, conservation science, or animal behavior. Take as many different courses in those areas as you can, and graduate with a bachelor’s degree in your chosen field. (Here’s a BIG hint: the competition for jobs caring for animals is so strong that you really HAVE to have a college degree these days to be considered.)
Hands-on Experience– Find opportunities to work with animals. Some potential keepers have volunteered assisting Conservation Research scientists and technicians. Sometimes work-study opportunities are available for college students.
What are some other ways to gain animal experience?
Some places to look for volunteer jobs or internships might be:
• Veterinary offices
• Animal training classes (does your dog need obedience training?)
• Local Humane Society
• Local Park Service
• Wildlife rehabilitation centers (like for wolves, bears, big cats, birds of prey, and even bats)
• Animal shelters
• Farms (for domestic animals, or even ostrich, llama, or butterfly farms)
• Pet breeders (those that breed specific kinds of dogs, cats, or horses)
• Horse stables and boarding facilities
• 4-H Clubs

Improving Your Chances of Getting a Keeper Job

Although most zoos will be looking for experienced and academically able staff you can improve your chances by amassing various other skills. If you already have keeping experience then so much the better, however the following will be a big help.

Requirements
The conservation and scientific programs in zoos and aquariums have become highly technical and specialized. Although practical experience with animals may sometimes be substituted for academic training, most entry-level keeper positions now require a four-year college degree. Training in animal science, zoology, marine biology, conservation biology, wildlife management, and animal behavior is preferred.

Question: Can a guardian/ caretaker get paid for his or her service? 24 hour help is needed for a family member. I will have to move in with the member and provide ways for 24 hour help. Can I as a guardian/ caretaker get paid a salary to do this?
Answer: You can ask the family member to pay you for your effort.

Answer: Well, I know the animal care techs in various laboratories make between $11-16/hr, depending on the area they live in an experience. Someone who works in a kennel makes between $8-12/hr. Try www.salary.com to look up other animal-based careers.
Question: School caretaker denies charges of bombing and malicious wounding? A school caretaker has been taken to court after police found a virtual bomb factory in his bedroom, nails and explosives etc. He had sent letter bombs to various agencies and caused bomb scares and injuries to individuals from opening the letter bombs.
This man is a primary school caretaker, what on earth is in his mind and why is he denying the charges. the man could have killed people?
Why are there so many weirdos in society like this and do you know any?
Answer: Excellent call Puddy. It shows the laziness and the couldn't care less attitude shown by some local authorities. (Shades of Soham).
My youngest daughter's primary school put my details through an enhanced disclosure check through disclosure Scotland because I had volunteered to coach the kids football team. I had no objections to this, it shows EVERY detail of your life even down to minor driving offences.
I don't believe for a minute, this man didn't have something in his past which should have made the authorities stand up and notice.
You only have to look at recent history to see that this incompetence will once again lead to heartache and havoc( Soham, Dunblane, Hungerford) etc etc.
Well posted.
Question: How does one find information about Medicare for a disabled persons' caretaker? I'm doing some research on what disabled persons or a caretaker can receive by applying for Medicare for the disabled person's behalf and what information do they need to seek should they cancel it and choose to reinstate it? I've tried www.ssi.gov and the information there is very dicey and confusing. Please help me.
Answer: The Different Parts of Medicare
You can get the most from your Medicare benefits by learning what Medicare covers and by taking advantage of all that Medicare has to offer. Medicare has the following parts:
Medicare Part A (Hospital Insurance) helps cover your inpatient care in hospitals. Part A also helps cover skilled nursing facility, hospice, and home health care if you meet certain conditions.
Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance) helps cover medically-necessary services like doctors’ services and outpatient care. Part B also helps cover some preventive services to help maintain your health and to keep certain illnesses from getting worse.
Medicare Part C (Medicare Advantage Plans) is another way to get your Medicare benefits. It combines Part A, Part B, and, sometimes, Part D (prescription drug) coverage.
Medicare Advantage Plans are managed by private insurance companies approved by Medicare. These plans must cover medically-necessary services. However, plans can charge different copayments, coinsurance, or deductibles for these services.
Medicare Part D (Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage) helps cover prescription drugs. This coverage may help lower your prescription drug costs and help protect against higher costs in the future.
you must qualify for these Benefits. the all have different qualification usually 65 and over for all with exception with qualified disabled persons.
2 websites: Medicare.gov and the most accurate is Centers for Medicare and Medicaid CMS http://www.cms.hhs.gov/
I would check medicaid first (Your state welfare program).
