Question: zoologist?!?!? how to become a zoologist?? i want to maybe work in zoos( how ever you spell it) with animals, and also how much do they get paid??
Answer: Many zoos require their keepers to have a Bachelor of Science degree in zoology...others have volunteer programs or internships where you can work you way up to a paying job.
Zoos can differ a lot in pay range..zoos in large cities tend to pay more. Look here and go to "job listings" to see what education they are asking for specific positions.

Question: what is the difference between a zoologist and an animal biologist? Quick! I need to know for a science assignment, what the difference between a zoologist and an animal biologist is.
Thanks.
Answer: There is none. Zoology is the branch of biology that deals with animals. Of course, that doesn't stop a half-educated person from coming up with his own definition.
Question: What are the differences between a zoologist and an ecologist? I am considering having a career in wildlife study, as I don't want to work in an office for the rest of my life, but outdoors, studying animals. What do you do as an ecologist/ zoologist/ wildlife biologist...etc ?
Answer: You may be sorry. Nowadays, you wait for a nice day, think about being outdoors, and go on a field trip. When you are doing it for a living, you go out when you have to, no matter what the weather. My usual problem is coming back soaked to the skin but I also get poison ivy, drive nails thru my boots, and lacerate my hands. Usually part of me is covered with mud. After one field trip, I returned with 30-odd ticks on me.
As for the difference, a zoologist studies animals; ecology is one phase of what he studies. Other phases are physiology, anatomy, genetics, and biogeography. An ecologist studies the interrelationshop of organisms and their environment. The ecologist must be conversant with the fields of zoology, botany, meteorology, climatology, mathematics, and geology, among others. Plan for many years of full schedules.
Question: What is the difference between a zookeeper and a zoologist? for instance duties and pay range? I've heard zoologist sometimes work as keepers. Do they still get the same pay as a zookeeper or do they get more?
Answer: Someone with a degree in zoology is considered a "zoologist", but may not necessarily work in a zoo. A zookeeper may also be called a zoologist if they have a degree in zoology...these two terms can be somewhat interchangable.
Question: What does it take to become a zoologist or biologist? I want to become a zoologist or biologist and I was wondering what it takes to become one? I am good in Math, Science, LA, and I love to learn about new animals. Any suggestions?

I was also wondering what I would have to do in the job and any other information, too
Answer: Keep taking all the science classes (biology, physics, chemistry, physiology, etc) you can while in high school. Once in college, major in zoology, biology, wildlife managment, etc. once you decide what exact field you want to go in to. You will also need some hands on experience to do this type of work. Start volunteering or doing interships while still in school even if it is at a local zoo. Also check out your local Resource Conservation District, Audobon Society, etc. for volunteer work. You can also do seasonal work as a biological technician or assistant while still in school as well. If you have a professor on campus doing any animal research, try and get involved with it for more experience.
Question: What type of Degree do you need to become a Zoologist? I've decided to pick zoology as my major but i don't have the grades or money to get into a big university here in Florida so i've decided to go to community college to start off with and then move onto USF perhaps.
I am just unsure of what degree to go for to become a zoologist. Do i need a bachelors in science? Or what?
Can someone please help because this college stuff is very stressful >.<
Could I do Veterinary Technology?
Answer: Any science field...Because it has to do with animals
Animal Science
Biology
Chemistry
BioChemistry
Question: What would a zoologist have to say about humanity and the human existence compared to other mammals.? What do zoologist study in animals that can be related to humans in how we live, act and behave? If a zoologist were cretiquing the species 'Human', how would we turn out living in our environment... ?
Answer: I would say the human race is a very destructive, self-centered race that not only destroys it's own environment, but the environment of other organisms as well. Despite their intelligence, they still fail to see or take blame for all the destruction they cause...instead blaming it on the planet itself.
Question: What highschool courses are best for becoming a zoologist? im currently in gr.10 but im almost done this year and i have many course selections for next year. I would like to be a zoologist when im older, which courses would be better for me to take?
thanks
Answer: You might want to take:
-biology
-science
-math
-art (sometimes you need to sketch the animal)
-foreign language classes (zoo keepers need to explain the animals in different languages)
I think that's all, but check
Hope this helps!
Question: Can I major in wildlife and become a zoologist? I am a freshman at Tarleton State and I think I would like to become a zoologist. I want to work out of zoo and study animals. I want to travel the world to study animals in their natural habitat, and also work with them hands on. Is there a job like this? Also if so, can I major in wildlife management and then get my masters in zoology? Would I even need to get a masters?
Answer: You can major in bead-stringing if you want and then get a masters in zoology. The switch from wildlife is no big change, provided you have had most of the basic courses.
However, I am going to pour cold water on your career plans. Most people in zoos do not study animals in their natural habitat. To do so, you would have to attract research grants -- big ones that would pay salary and expenses. That means not only a master's but a doctorate, and a list of publications a mile long. What you might do is to work for an engineering firm that does a lot of foreign work and studies the environmental impact of proposed development. The down-side of this is that the international work may be spotty and you spend more time in the hell-holes of the world than in the tourist meccas.
Question: What high school classes should i take if I want to become a zoologist? I am currently entering 10th grade. I need some advice on what classes to take. I am extremely serious about what I want to do. I have wanted to become a zoologist for 12 years of my life.
Answer: Chemistry (go as high as you can in this), Physics (covering areas of sound and vision), Biology, Math (go as high as you can in this) & English (writing & public speaking). In college, you'll have to take more of similar courses, but at a much higher level. If any of these courses are difficult for you, consider going to a jr. college for 2 years & take as many of the science courses you can THERE, because they are easier than in a university (and also less expensive, smaller classes, etc.).
