Question: science????? ok so let's say you order a steak, baked potato and salad with oil and vinegar dressing. how and where in your digestive tract will each of these foods be digested?
Answer: potato will start in you mouth with you saliva( contains Amylase enzyme, with breaks down poly/di sacchrides into dextrides and monosacchrides), the meat would mainly be in your stomach and small intestines(HCL, pepsin, tripsin)
and im not sure about he salad. Prolly your stomach and small intestines as well. Your small intestine is where majority of degestion takes place.
Question: Science>>>>>? What is "raw material" in science (used in plants)???
Answer: Used in production plants? Raw material is something that you take and form it into a final product. Take a chuck of steel (raw material) and mold it into a hammer (final product). Take a pile of wood (raw material), then cut it and glue it into a set of shelves (final product).
Question: What is more important; science or a temperament and attitude towards science? What is more important to the self; science or a temprament and attitude of science in self.
Is there any science which can help the self to enable and empower itself with knowledge and wisdom of self to enable and empower the self with an attitude and a temprament of science.
What is this science; where can it be known and studied; how can it be practised. Can this science also help the self to enable and empower itself with knowledge and wisdom of any type and kind.
Can we also use this science to help ourselves for enabling and empowering ourselves with that knowledge and wisdom which had been the cause, purpose, and reason of the existance, presence and working of self and the religion and god of self.
Answer: It's either way too early in the morning for me to comprehend what you just typed, or it's utter gibberish.
"Is there any science which can help the self to enable and empower itself with knowledge and wisdom of self to enable and empower the self with an attitude and a temprament of science.
Can this science also help the self to enable and empower itself with knowledge and wisdom of any type and kind."
This hurts my head.
Question: What is mathematics and computer science? Hi,
Mathematics and computer science are not natural sciences, applied sciences (technology) or social sciences.
So, what kind of sciences are they?
I found out that they may belong to constructive sciences or formal science but I am not sure.
PLEASE DO NOT ANSWER WITH LINKS.
Thanks.
Answer: Mathematics, which is sometimes classified within a third group of science called formal science, has both similarities and differences with the natural and social sciences.[2] It is similar to empirical sciences in that it involves an objective, careful and systematic study of an area of knowledge; it is different because of its method of verifying its knowledge, using a priori rather than empirical methods.[4] Formal science, which also includes statistics and logic, is vital to the empirical sciences. Major advances in formal science have often led to major advances in the physical and biological sciences. The formal sciences are essential in the formation of hypotheses, theories, and laws,[5] both in discovering and describing how things work (natural sciences) and how people think and act (social sciences).
Cognitive science is a rapidly evolving field that deals with complex cognitive processes, intelligent systems, and the emergent behavior of large-scale real-world computational systems. It is an interdisciplinary study. It draws from converging evidence and methodology of diverse fields, including psychology, physics, neuroscience, philosophy, information science, COMPUTER SCIENCE, anthropology and linguistics. The term cognitive science was coined by Christopher Longuet-Higgins in his 1973 commentary on the Lighthill report, which concerned the then-current state of Artificial Intelligence research. In the same decade, the journal Cognitive Science and the Cognitive Science Society began.
good enough..?
Question: How can we raise science literacy in the United States? It's purely antecdotal but it feels like the amount of science literacy has gotten worse in recent years. What can we do to reverse that trend? Should we throw money at it? Give incentives to schools that do well in science? Make the standardized tests harder? More scholarships for science majors? Start a new PR campaign that makes science cool? Have the government appoint someone as a Science Ambassador? What do you think would work best?
Answer: Science, below the college level at least, is usually taught as a series of facts instead of a process, and kids don't get much, if any, exposure to how to DO science. That needs to change, but it won't as long as the schools have to prepare for standardized tests that test your memorization of facts, not your actual understanding.
Question: What Science Category does my science fair project idea fit in? I'm going to do a project based on what type of glue will work the best on different materials. Can anyone help me figure out what category that would fit in, you know, like Behavioral sciences, physical science, botony, ecology, those types of categories. Please, some help!
Answer: Industrial chemistry
Question: How do i get good marks in science even when i hate it? I hate science. My primary and secondary school teachers have never made me interested in it. It is always confusing and they always deduct so many marks for using a wrong word and u have to explain every detail even for a one mark question. U also need to aply wht u learn and i am bad at that. I always get low marks for science. There is sooooo much memorising to do!!! I hate it yet i want to do well in it. Many pple say tht math and science are related. I love math but hate science. How can it be so? I normally get A+ for math. Any science teachers or excellent science students can help me?
Answer: find some interesting facts in science and find thing like experiments to make you interest in it..... i used to hate it before.. it just takes the will to have interest in it.. and if you don't understand you can ask the teacher to make it all easier for you
Question: How does a science technician work safely in the Lab? How does a science technician work safely in the Lab?
What precautions are in place to make the Lab. a safe working environment for the science technician?
What are the various methods of monitoring that the safety precautions put in place are effective?
What are the legal regulations designed to protect the science technicians?
Answer: Most precautions in the lab are either engineering solutions (well-designed ventilation fume hoods), or a matter of wearing appropriate personal protective equipment ("PPE"). The latter being things like appropriate gloves (latex, rubber, nitrile, etc), safety glasses/goggles, lab coats, potentially dust masks or air respirators. These are the most common safety precautions in place for chemistry labs in industry and academia.
Question: What are some science competitions similar to intel? I just found out today that the deadline for intel science search is nov. 14 and I won't be able to rush and create a nice report.
What are some other well known (or many not known) science competitions?
I live in Maryland. Does anyone know of regional science competitons?
I want to enter in order to win scholarships....not ribbons.
Answer: Google "science competitions maryland"
It's quicker and easier.
Question: What constitutes laboratory science in high school? I'm looking at colleges and the different requirements. There is one college that requires 3 science credits and all 3 have to be laboratory science. So far I have earth science and biology and I'm taking marine biology next year. I'm a rising senior and I need to know if I have what I need to qualify.
Answer: Earth science is not usually considered laboratory science. You should take chemistry or physics to make sure you have all the lab science courses you need. Usually colleges want biology, chemistry and physics.
