Question: Is my knuckle tattoo going to be damged working as a mechanic? Im planning on getting a knuckle tattoo soon and i wanted to know if working as a mechanic would fade it or damage it. I use industrial sanded soap and scrub.
tags: meachanic, knuckle,tattoo,damage
Answer: yeah, i bet you it will, both my dad and bf are mechanics, you'll have constant cuts and nicks on your hands, so therefore i doubt that a tattoo would stay in great condition. the soap shouldn't bother it once its healed, but when your working it would be less safe unless you constantly wear something like mechanix brand gloves which protect your hands.
Question: During the industrial revolution, what key mechanical engineering principles were key to the era? In my view, the developments in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics, particularly those governing rotary motion of steam turbines, where the most productive. It also paved the way for early steam rail transport and power generation.
However, the development of many theories in solid mechanics were equally important to the building of Victorian bridges and structures.
Newton's/Leibniz's Calculus could also be argued to be the single most important scientific principle - as the aforementioned theories were formed on this basis.
What, in your opinion were the key theories in the onset of the Industrial Age?
Answer: The main principle was the application of physics and mathematics to the design and manufacture of machines, products and factories.
Everyone should note the question is about principles and not inventions, social orders, etc.

Question: HOW CAN I CHARGE AUTO BATTERIES WITHOUT A INDUSTRIAL CHARGER? Hello im train to start a small (Battery Refurbish business and I would like to know if I can use one of those small chargers found in mechanic shops, to charge the batteries after I have put the sulfuric acid. Or do I have to use one of those big Industrial chargers?
Answer: Yes, you can, but it is not a simple choice.
The small chargers give about 4 or 5 amps and have no way of turning off when the battery is fully charged.
Also their current decreases as the battery charges up so they take longer to charge a battery fully than their initial charge rate would suggest.
.
The big commercial ones can give a steady current at a selectable rate and some of them can detect when the battery is fully charged and cut off the power.
They may also have digital voltage and current meters that are more accurate than the simple ammeter on the cheap chargers.
So, you get what you pay for. Have a look at the specifications of the chargers you can find.
