Answer: You can do it but I would recommend instead that you pick immigration firms only. If they get a lot of email they might not read them - if it's not many, I would send a letter to one of the partners or go to an immigration law meeting of lawyers w/ a handful of resumes but direct your search to the market you want to reach. I am a lawyer and I get about 100 unsolicited emails a week and delete most w/out opening them. If you email I would put "Immigration Legal Assistant Interested in Your Firm" in the subject line or something. Good luck.

Question: could this be a practical solution for the illegal immigration? 1-securing the border with state of the art equipment/ more border troopers. 2- guest worker program after a criminal back ground check and a physical exam, with NO path to citizenship. $5000 fine and learning english inorder to qualify. and no eligebility for ANY social/governmental assistant. ( for those who have been here for 5 years or longer) the fines collected by the INS will help in building the wall and providing the border patrol with the equipments they need. illegals will become legal meaning they will be able to contribute to our society fair and square. if you dont like my ideas. please dont be rude. thanks. well, if you dont pay the fine then you will not stay!!! and like some said will be deported upon discovery. the whole idea is to separate the good from the bad, the honest from the cheater. i agree that many do cheat the government and apply for all the benefits they can get. buton the other hand there are also many good hard working people who deserve a second chance to prove that they deserve to stay. many of those pay taxes anddont apply for government assistance. and THOSE are the ones who deserve a second chance. a guest worker program will benefit the country in many ways one of which is national security. it's easier for our national security agents to do their jobs if they know how to get a hold of every one living in this country. imagine 12 million illegal living in the shadows and no one knows any thing about them!!! i think it's a win win situation.

Question: Will Obama or McCain do ANYTHING about illegal Immigration? I know that they are both softies on the issue, but my child just started school and they are sending info home in both english and spanish! There was a recent debate in my town about NOT having english as the official language! My niece is having a hard time finding a job as a medical receptionist/assistant because they prefer someone BILINGUAL. I had to wonder am I in Mexico or the U.S. Why are there all these people cheerleading for Obama or McCain when they are both pro amnesty for law breakers? Is everyone SO LIBERAL that we are willing to give up our nations language? Soon with all the anchor babies and amnesty in effect the majority of voters will be immigrant hispanics that will turn this country basically into the one they were escaping. Fine, Give it to me, Wake me up ... Whatever. I just can't understand what is happening. And NOOOOO I am not a racist by any means, I am PRO Immigration (the LEGAL way) I have people in my life I love very dearly who are immigrants and they all feel the same way because it's not fair to those trying the right way. Who is better on this issue, McCain or Obama? Where is Ron Paul when you need him?

Answer: there is a difference between pro illegal and pro immigration. illegals are ruining our education system and schools, they are chasing good teachers out of the school and into other lines of work. neither candidate is worth a hoot, but McCain is the lesser of two evils. I wish there were another candidate we could vote on. but in no way should we elect hussein obama.
