Question: How much should I open the bromine floater in my small hot tub? I have a small 2-3 seater , roughly 700 gallons hot tub that I just put in and filled. All my chemicals tested okay except the chlorine. I am going to fill up the bromine floater and put it in the hot tub but how much do I open it? How long will it take to chlorinate the hot tub so we can go in?
Answer: Start out with the lowest setting and then check it with a tester every couple hours to see the change increase or decrease it slightly if not the correct levels. Be sure to drain it at least once or twice a month to clean and refresh the water. You can get away with just draining half way down if its not to dirty. Good Luck!
Question: what is the best way to position yourself to return a floater serve? i play varsity volleyball for my highschool and i do very well digging, returning serves, and overall passing, but i do find it very hard to accurately return a floater or knuckleball serve. does anyone have any tips?
Answer: I agree with the term of "attacking"... which means you need to step up and "move to the ball" instead of waiting for the ball to come to your passing arms. We usually call out short "hit the ball" but I don't want to confuse anyone in case you get called for attacking a serve.
If you have strong fingers, you can lower your stance, or step up, and pass with your open hands (overhand pass). It would be illegal ten years ago, but is perfect these days.
The key is that you don't "position" yourself statically. You need to move your feet based on the movement of the ball, and you need to know where your teammates are and when you need to let them take over the serve-receive (not to move your feet over your teammates' feet).
Question: What is the floater position in a manufacturing/packaging company? Is that a good position? I was wondering if that is a good job? Does the floater earn more money?
Answer: I believe they move from shift to shift and possibly task to task as needed. Could be better money. Ask your potential employer.
Question: Hot Tub Question - Should I open the floater with bromide tablets all the way or not? I just set up a small hot tub and shocked it and added a bromide tablet floater to the tub. The floater has an adjustment on it and I wonder how much I should have it open?
Answer: I use only 2 holes open for a small 4 person hot tub..Start out at 1 or 2 then adjust as time goes on to fit your tub..all the way open will more than likely be way to strong..It's easier to increase the adjustment you set than to decrease it(which you cant) after you have too much coming in..try the second hole for a day or so..then if it doesnt seem fit go 1/2 a hole at a time..whith too many holes open your eyes will start slightly burning...
Question: There was a question about “How do you hit a floater” in this forum. My question is why isn't it used more? I used a floater in my playing days to great success. Most of my experience was playing at about a College Division II level. I didn’t see any floaters in the Olympics. Is it just that it’s not effective at an elite level?
Answer: Float serves can be very good, but their usefulness kind of drops off at the highest levels. Most good players who can get their hands on a float serve can pass it very accurately.
The jump float serve is good for forcing players to pass it underhand, but it is still not that effective at the highest levels.
Jump topspin serves and jump spin serves however can be hit at like 70mph. Even if topspin makes it easy to pass, you still need to get to the ball to make the pass. A fast jump-serve on the back line, side line, or in a seam between two players is almost impossible to get.
The women's teams use more floaters than the men's teams too. So if you were just watching men's vb that might explain why you didn't see too many floaters. A couple of the women on our national team have nasty float serves.
Those high level players like to use the deep floaters where the server stands 10-15ft behind the service line, but club and high school players can't always do that. If you go to nationals you will see that they often have only like 6ft of room off the back of the court. So that makes floaters somewhat less effective.
Question: What is a fuel throttle sensor and im going to fix the floater in gas tank? Im not a seasoned mechanic but i wanted to change the floater in my gas tank. Would that be a difficult job? And also i was told i needed to replace my fuel throttle sensor. Whats that? I have a 94 buick lesabre
Answer: The throttle sensor may also be called the throttle position sensor. It would be located in the air intake area on the intake manifold and is an electrical device that monitors the position of the throttle as it is opened and closed by the accelerator pedal cable and reports to the car's computer.
As for the fuel tank fuel level float, you would need to drop and possibly fully remove the gas tank from the car to gain access to the top of the tank to access the float assembly. It's easiest if the tank is empty and not too much of a job to do. Make sure you disconnect all the fuel lines, hoses and electrical connections before you start, some of them will be on top of the tank so you'll have to do them when the tank is partially down. Best to have at least a couple of people to help, but can be done alone.
Best of luck.
Question: If im seeing a floater in my left eye and im looking at something white or a very light color? I can see the floater in my left eye very clearly. The floater is like a little black dot and follows every direction im looking at especially reading. Im only 26 is that normal for this age? If im seeing this little floater in my left eye, does that means this is my left eye is dominant.
Answer: Floaters are little pieces of cell debris or protein that float in front of your retina in your vitreous humour (the jelly inside your eye). Eventually your floater will either break down, float away, or your brain will learn to ignore it. Floaters are normal in everyone - they occur more in very near sighted people. Usually your dominant eye is the eye you would choose to keep open when focusing on something, like if you were looking through a sight of a gun or shooting an arrow. You can make a small triangle with your hands, outstretched arms - put an object in the center of the triangle with both eyes open. Close one eye at a time - the eye that still has the object in the triangle is your dominant eye.
Question: Please define the difference between "Floater" and "Other duties assigned"? I expect to have other duties assigned in my workplace to make operations smooth, but when I have to do other tasks that are under someone else's job description, isn't it called being a "floater"? These new duties (considered a full time position) were not submitted to me in writing, they were placed on my desk.
I am an Admin Associate, and the duties are under Human Resources with hiring and firing.
If my employer is combining HR and my position, shouldn't I be notified first instead of finding the work on my desk that I am now responsible for?
Answer: It certainly would have been a courtesy to have communciated the new responsibilities to you, preferably face to face. Even better, you should have been offered the opportunity to have *volunteered* to take them on.
From my understanding, floaters move from department to department, as needed, without permanent responsibilities.
Looking on the bright side, it's a compliment that they think you can handle additional responsibilities. :)
Question: How do i fix the gas floater in my truck? I have a 1995 Ford Ranger and the floater doesn't always work right i need to know how i fix it
Answer: Well if you are sure it's the Floater, "sending unit" it is inside the gas tank, and you will have to remove/drop the gas tank and pull the old one out and replace it with the new one... keep in mind this can be expensive... part alone might push $150.00
Make sure if the problem before you fix nothing fast...
BEST wishes!
Question: What is a FLOATER job in a MAnufacturing company? Is it a good position? I just would like to know if it's a good position to work in or not? Do floater get more money?
Answer: Usually it means that you will get trained to do a little work in each department. They usually will offer you more money, but they will also expect more from you than a base employee.
