Question: Legal????? is it legal to adopt a rabbit in detroit then bing it over the border to windsor?
Answer: It's legal to own rabbits in Windsor. But to cross the border you might need special permits, maybe a neutering or two. Go ahead and check it out to be safe.
My only warning is make sure where ever you adopt the rabbit from, the rescue lets you do this. Some don't allow adoptions out of a certain radius from where you are adopting. Either for housing visits or just check ups on the animal.
Question: How do we educate people on the difference between legal immigrants/aliens and illegal aliens? Many on this section and, in this country, do not distinguish illegal aliens from legal immigrants, and that's created great amount of mis-understanding and unnecessary hostilities towards legal immigrants and legal aliens.
Personally, I found it insulting to lump legal immigrants and legal aliens with illegal aliens/invaders. Unlike illegal aliens who are mostly un-educated and un-skilled, who pop out babies after babies before they even reach legal drinking age, Legal immigrants and legal aliens have to go through un-believable amount of legal processes, document-gethering, testings, waiting, interviewing, and spend lots of money for legal consultation, filing fees, and what so ever. A high percentage of the legal immigrants who hold "employment based" greencard have much higher level of education(from great U.S. univesities) than the majority of U.S. population. And these highly educated people have made tremendous amount of contribution to all fields of Science, technology, social science, finances, education, medicine. And most of all, these highly educated immigrants normally raise intelligent children who are also high-achievers and contributors to the society.
Answer: As a matter of fact, it's ignorant people who THINK illegal immigrants are uneducated/unskilled and and "pop out" babies before their time that continue to make this country so looked down on. Our country is already looked as the most contradicting of all and yet we continue to turn our backs on immigrants who help build and run it. Now that YOU'RE all fine a dandy, let's lock everybody else out?
Illegal immigrants go to school WITHOUT any finacial help, they do the dirty work your 'pretty little hands' will never even dare to do. You all put them down so harshly when you don't even know them. If anything, its illegals AND legal immigrants who are considered more american then all of you JUDGEMENTAL people. They come here for a better life and to make all of YOUR already lazy lives easier, they will never hesitate to do your damn biddings because they know what it's like to be lucky to be able to live in this country unlike all of us who take what we have forgranted. Who are any of you to judge them when it was your ancestors who did the same thing (at a time when immigrating was 200 times easier yet JUST as overwhelming to the country.)?
It's sad to see how close-minded and GREEDY people can be. This isn't just your country and whether you all like it or not it will always be the country of immigrants, legal or illegal, born here or not.
Question: What herbs, legal or otherwise can give you a similar to any illigal drug?
Anything that I can grow at home and/or buy online. But that is also legal in Florida. Example: Kratom. Does anyone know what it is? And is it legal in Florida, and does it get you high? Salvia is a good legal drug but it is no longer legal in florida, anyother drugs as such?
Answer: ok in florida if you take any thing to get high it automatically becomes illegal example if you are witnessed sniffing a marker then the marker then becomes a drug and is now illegal and you go to jail for possession of an illegal narcotic
Question: How does legal aid work who can qualify for legal aid, can you be on state benefits and get legal aid? Can you get legal aid if you own a property in the United Kingdom?
Answer: normally it is on a sliding fee scale, the less money you have, the less you pay. you have to fill out financial documents to see if you qualify and they will tell you from that what you will be charged , if anything
Question: What legal risks exist in buying a car together with an acquaintance? I need a car but will not use it that often, I am thinking of buying a car 50/50 with an acquaintance and share it. What are the legal risk for doing this, if she gets in an accident can I be in trouble or responsible in anyway? What other kind of legal risks might there exist?
Answer: Equal liability for what ever the other does. Consider ranting occasionaly or search the net for Vehicle sharing programs in your area.
Question: How does a legal proofreading agency put you to work? I've finished an intensive 8-hour course in legal proofreading, and I plan on taking a test at one of the legal proofreading agencies in hopes of getting a job. However, the instructor did casually say that temps are "on-call," and will be contacted if and when a law firm needs a proofreader. If this is the nature of legal proofreading, how will I ever get a permanent job or at least earn back the money I spent on the class?
Answer: I've been a supervisory paralegal since 2000, and I have never heard of a "legal proofreading agency." I always proofread my own work product.
Question: What legal documents do I need to buy a mobile home from an individual? I may be purchasing a mobile home from the home owner. What legal documents do I need to make sure that the transaction is legal?
Answer: just like a car, you need to transfer the title and registration plates
Question: Why is it legal for stores to sell marijuana paraphernalia? Why are some but not others shut down? I have recently seen reports of several shops (everything from a headshop to a gas station) being shut down and fined for selling pipes, bongs ect... The law states they are legal so why are they raided sometimes? How can they be legal? They are obviously used to consume marijuana. Now lets not turn this into a discussion on if weed should be legal or not but how can it be ok to sell sometimes but not other times? Technically how can a piece of glass be illegal to sell?
Answer: If you've ever been in one of those stores, then they have signs everywhere that say "FOR TOBACCO USE ONLY."
So, legally speaking, all of the stuff they sell is for smoking tobacco out of.
Now, do most of the people who buy them actually smoke tobacco out of them? Of course not. The store owners know that, and the police know that. But we have this whole "innocent until proven guilty" thing going on, and it's totally legal to sell pipes and such for the use of smoking tobacco out of them, so it's not clear that the store owners or the customers are doing anything illegal.
It's illegal to sell things for the purpose of smoking marijuana. So, as a previous answerer said, there are never "bowls" or "bongs" in a head shop--there are instead "pipes" and "water pipes." If you use the word "bong" then you will usually be asked to leave the store.
The shops can be closed down if they slip up and actually say that anything they sell is for use with anything but tobacco. They can also be closed down if they allow people to smoke anything illegal on the premises.
Question: How to become a legal resident in Louisiana, if I am a legal resident of California? I am in the military and have been stationed in Louisiana for three years now, I believe I still am a resident of California, but how do i become a legal resident of Louisiana? I just recently brought my brother to Louisiana as well and I am trying to obtain legal residency states on him so that I can file for guardianship of him here instead of having to travel back to California.
Answer: Most states require only that you have lived there for a certain amount of time, usually 6 to 12 months, but that will apply to your brother as well. Also, many states have an exception allowing military members to file such actions in the state they currently reside in, but you shouldn't need the exception having been there this long. The exception might keep you from having to wait for your brother to be there long enough though.
You will need to contact a LA licensed attorney to be sure. Most attorneys in military areas are familiar with these things already.
If you have no plans to move back to Cali, you might need to change your residency status to LA with the military, just to ward off anything that might pop that you have not thought of. You should be able to do that right now on your own.
Question: Is it legal to bring dead but preserved insects/plants from on an airplane from Argentina to US? I am going to argentina for a month, and am going to collect plants/insects and preserve them while I'm there. As long as they are preserved, dead, and mounted, is it legal to bring them from Buenas Aires to the US as a non cairry on item, whithout claiming them at customs? If not, is it legal for them to be shipped from there to my home, without me claiming them?
Answer: See:
Biologicals
You may need a U.S. Department of Agriculture permit to import biological specimens including bacterial cultures, culture medium, excretions, fungi, arthropods, mollusks, tissues of livestock, birds, plants, viruses, vectors for research, biological or pharmaceutical use. Permit requirements are located under “Permits” on the USDA Website at www.aphis.usda.gov ( USDA ) . For some permits you may have to contact the Centers for Disease Control at www.cdc.gov ( Centers for Disease Control ) .

Plants and Seeds
Some plants, cuttings, seeds that are capable of propagation, unprocessed plant products, and certain endangered species are allowed into the United States but require import permits; some are prohibited entirely. Threatened or endangered species that are permitted must have export permits from the country of origin.
Every single plant or plant product including handicraft items made with straw, must be declared to the CBP officer and must be presented for CBP inspection, no matter how free of pests it appears to be. For information write to USDA-APHIS-PPQ, 4700 River Road, Riverdale, MD 20737; call (301) 734-8645; or visit the APHIS web site at ( APHIS Plant Import ) .
======================================…
The importation of reptiles and invertebrates is restricted, please contact the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for additional guidance. Most species of snails are not admissible. Contact APHIS for additional information
