Question: Travel Counsellors? wat r some advantages about becoming travel counsellor??
Answer: You get to talk to people about going to places you will never be able to afford.
Question: Can travel between work and counselling be tax deductible? I plan to catch a tax directly from my workplace to the counseling which is the approved Employee Assistance Program counsellor as they rarely have vacancies outside of work hours. Then I will catch a taxi back to work to finish my day. Would those two taxi rides be considered tax deductible? The subject for the counseling is to do with issues at work and not personal problems.
Answer: I personally think it should be tax deductible for the following reason,
It is an approved Employee Assistance Program;
It directly relates to the income producing activities;
The outcome of the program will improve the work performance;
Also if your employer paid for the counselling, the work related counselling will be exempted from Fringe Tax Benefit.
Good luck!
As per the ATO website information,
You can claim the cost of travelling:
from your normal workplace to an alternative workplace – for example, a client’s premises – while still on duty and back to your normal workplace or directly home
If the counselling is part of your work or training, the travel expenses should be deductible.
Question: I don't know from where i should do a course in travel n tourism? can u tell me...what's a scope after doing a course in travel and tourism....also from where i should do this course in mumbai..which are the best institutes/academy's who offer this course....what would be the pay packages...will we get to travel the world for free ...Is tour manager program different from this course...i don't know which one to do...should i visit a counsellor...any references...plz help
Answer: Don't expect to travel the world for free. That went years ago.
Question: What makes more money: Nurse, Social Worker, or Counsellor? I am going to university and am taking my bachelors right now.
I would like to take my Registered Nurse
My Masters in Social Work
or to become a Counsellor
I am a single mom with no child support and still want to make enough to pay of the student loans, support my kids, have a nice SUV, have an RV for camping, and travel.
Is this possible on a one person income with one of the above careers?
FYI... in Canada we spell Counsellor different then the States... so you can keep your snide comments to yourself please
Answer: Of the three careers you listed, registered nurses probably make the most (on average). It really depends on the location and the particular job. As a nurse, you can get a job with a bachelor's but you would probably need to have a master's degree to get a job as a social worker or counselor (meaning extra student loans). I can't tell you if any of these careers could provide you with the lifestyle you want, and pay should not be the most important factor in choosing a career. If you want more information, you can compare salaries based on location and experience at salary.com or payscale.com.
Question: My 15 year old son wants to leave home to go journey, what can I do? He dropped out of school in Feb and refuses to work, he feels it will interfere with his travel plans. I have had contact with an attendence counsellor from the school board, nothing is happening there either he is refusing any and all alternative education. He plans on leaving very soon, I told him I would report him as a runaway to the police, he shows no concern about that either. I am at a loss and don't know what to do next....any suggestions?
Answer: How can he drop out of school at 15? If you're in the states, you can't quit school before 18 without a parent's permission. To just stop going is considered truancy and against the law. Ask the school to step up and do something about it. He would be better off in a juvenile detention center than out on the streets on his own. If he does leave, make sure you follow through on calling the police. Your child needs some help and it's still your job as a parent to make sure he gets it. Contact children's services and see if they can give you some guidance in the situation. You need to let your son and everyone else know that you will do whatever necessary to insure his safety. I wish you the best of luck.
Question: Who is Flight Centre's CEO/Customer Care Head? I made a holiday booking through flight centre UK.They entered my spouse's name incorrectly on the ticket and when we asked them to rectify, have told us for that we will have to cancel the current booking and no seats are available on the flight now.
The travel counsellor refuses to take ownership of entering the wrong name.
We have spoken with the airlines and they have mentioned that they will not allow my spouse to board because of the name error.
All I want is the name to reflect what is mentioned on the passport.
I am struggling to make the counsellor see reason. Because I am unable to take the flight, my entire easter plans are compromised and I am being told that I will lose my entire booking amount (£900 approx). I need to have someone review it and hold the counsellor accountable for the data entry error because of which I am going through this. Can anyone help me with the contact details of senior executives in Flight Centre who I can escalate to? Feedback/Ideas welcome
Answer: From their website:
http://www.flightcentre.co.uk/info/policies/terms_and_conditions
9. If You Have A Complaint
If you have a problem during your holiday, please inform the relevant supplier (e.g. your hotelier) immediately who will endeavour to put things right. If your complaint is not resolved locally, please follow this up within 21 days of your return home in the first instance with the consultant who booked your holiday or the branch manager. Failing this you may write to our Customer Services Department at Level 6, CI Tower, High St, New Malden, UK, KT3 4TE giving your booking reference and all other relevant information within the timeframe set above. Please keep your letter concise and to the point. This will assist us to quickly identify your concerns and speed up our response to you.
It is strongly recommended that you communicate any complaint to the supplier of the services in question as well as to our representative without delay and complete a report form whilst in resort.
If you fail to follow this simple procedure we will have been deprived of the opportunity to investigate and rectify your complaint whilst you were in resort and this may affect your rights under this contract.
10. What Happens To Complaints
Disputes arising out of, or in connection with, this contract which cannot be amicably settled may be referred to arbitration, if the customer so wishes, under a special Scheme arranged by the Association of British Travel Agents, and administered independently by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
The scheme provides for a simple and inexpensive method of arbitration on documents alone with restricted liability on the customer in respect of costs. Full details will be provided on request or can be obtained from the ABTA website ( www.abta.com).
The Scheme does not apply to claims for an amount greater than £5,000 per person. There is also a limit of £25,000 per booking form. Neither does it apply to claims which are solely in respect of physical injury or illness or their consequences. The Scheme can however deal with compensation claims which include an element of minor injury or illness subject to a limit of £1,000 on the amount the arbitrator can award per person in respect of this element.
The application for arbitration and Statement of Claim must be received by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators within nine months of the date of return from the holiday. Outside this time limit arbitration under the Scheme may still be available if the company agrees, but the ABTA Code does not require such agreement.
For injury and illness claims, you may like to use the ABTA / Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Mediation Procedure. This is a voluntary scheme and requires your tour operator to agree for mediation to go ahead. The aim is to help you resolve your dispute in a quick and cost effective way. Details on request or from www.abta.com.
Good luck and hope you enjoy your holiday!

READ THE MAIL CAREFULLY AS WE ARE NOT IN POSITION TO ATTEND ANY FORM OF UNSERIOUSNESS.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Answer: If you applied for the position, the letter is telling you that you are offered the position for which you applied. If you did not apply for the position, there are two possibilities:
1. The letter is a scam which is intended to extract money from you as you proceed through the process it outlines. You do not indicate what the contract stipulates. It may be an offer for a very generous salary and bonuses to entice you to contact the travel agency so that they can charge you fees for procuring the documents that you don't need because there is no job.
2. The letter was intended for someone else and was sent to you by mistake. In that case you may want to contact the company and let them know. However, in case item 1 is correct, you should try to locate the company independently to find out if it really exists at the address given. For example, you may try to locate it through the Chamber of Commerce, the post office, or the Better Business Bureau.

Answer: This falls into the category of fraudulent email/mail scams. Some tell you that you've won a huge lottery, or that a long lost relative has died and has left you a large sum of money. Many forms of these scams exist. In the end they will ask you for money for taxes or other expenses.
Others will get your personal information or bank info (because they want to transfer your funds) but instead they will empty your account.
A lot of these originate in Nigeria. It's called the Nigerian 911 scam. Right after the Iraq war began I started getting emails telling me that Iraqi officials needed to get their money out of their accounts and that they would transfer it to my account and I would receive 15% for the trouble but of course it was just a scam.
Do not give out your personal information unless you are 100% cconfident you know who you are dealing with.
Question: Is this from depression or are you this selfish? I hate myself and am a horrible horrible person and have no idea how to get back the person i used ot be, all ihave done for the last 6 months is think about what im going to do and spent a lot of time in my room always thinking, looking at courses, jobs, travel options, wheni go out i still think about it, i havent been able to relax, my mums mum just died and i feel nothing, i hate myself for it, and still just htink about what im going to do, i do have depression and am seeinga counsellor and taking meds, but i'm just such a horrible horrible person i have no idea how to fix myself. Has anyeone else had this experieince, is it a result of depression?
Answer: I know exactly how you feel.Wow i didnt think anyone else felt the way i do. Add me to your contacts and we will talk.
Question: Please Confirm TROUT TOOL COMPANY LIMITED LONDON is fake existing or company?
Answer: Thats a scam dear.
3. SALARY: The Company shall pay Employee a salary of £9,400.00 every month after tax deduction, for the services of the Employee, payable at regular payroll periods.
Who gets paid almost 10,000 pounds sterling a month?
Being on the internet, you should know this already.
Question: DRUG COUNSELLOR INTERVIEW. All day interview (8 hours)? I would never turn up at an interview in anything less than a suit with tie but this one last's from 10am all day and I'm travelling to London from Hull, Yorkshire. (550 miles ish)
I can't see myself being to comfortable and was wondering what you lot thought?
Oh and if you have been to a Drug Counsellor Interview, could you give me some tip's on what kind of things they ask.
WHAT QUESTIONS WILL I BE ASKED?
P'S THIS IS A TRAINEE COUNSELLING POSISTION.
Answer: I would dress casual. Nice slacks, shirt, shoes, etc. You could wear a pullover sweater and opt for a tie or not. I'd try to keep the colors mostly dark and the shirt light colored.
I don't know what type of counseling you will be required to do. I counsel fellow addicts seeking recovery and clean living. If that is the field you are entering, I think you could expect to be asked if you ever experimented with drugs and what your viewpoint about the widespread use of drugs is in relation to your duties.
Good luck.
Question: hi any ideas on things to make me feel better? i'm nearly 21 and i suffer with depression and im on fluexitine. i want rid of my low mood. i still live at home with parents, im learning to drive at mo. i work in a betting shop but dont think it helps with my condition as customers and collegues are either dirty old men, some racists and generally some negative people too. i come home most evenings feeling bored and low, i let people make decisions for me as i dont feel strong enough to think and act on what i want. i really want a career where i can travel and help people or animals here or in 3rd world countries. i just feel there's gotta be more to life than this. should i see a counsellor as want to talk to someone who'll listen.
Answer: I suffer from depression and have done since I was a very small child (the earliest I remember of it was when I was 5), so I know how you feel. It didn't help that my mates were horrible to me, took advantage and made me feel second-rate to them - then turned round and said they hated me! I went to uni and found that difficult - had to take a semester out and redo it then lost interest pretty much completely, so when I got to the BA stage, I took it and ran. Then I tried to get into a career I wanted but couldn't due to lack of qualifications and experience and all I could get were temping jobs. I felt so miserable and stuck in a rut. I made plans and kept changing them all the time, because it either didn't feel right or I was afraid etc etc. I know what it feels like to feel worthless and that there's nothing out there for you.
In august last year, I had enough. I sat myself down and gave myself a good talking to. I asked myself what it was I really wanted to do. Then how was I going to get it? Nothing is impossible, you just have to work to where you want to get to. I decided to go back to university and get my masters (but need to get honours first). So I started doing research into different courses and funding and saw that I may need to fund myself. Instead of looking at the prices and thinking 'oh no, that's too expensive, I'll never be able to afford that', I took it as a challenge. I ended up working 60 odd hours a week in two jobs and a volunteer placement and although I was knackered and had virtually no social life during that time, I felt fantastic as I knew I was doing this for my future. Now, I have it all planned out and it feels great to have goals, big and small. I still suffer from lack of confidence and esteem etc etc but whenever I feel low, I try and talk myself out of it and I'm so excited about my life and future.
I'm telling you this to help you to see that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Your best bet is to do the same and figure out what you want out of life. You want to go abroad - you have access to the internet, you should do some research into what you want to do. Do you need qualifications? Experience? Go to college and/or volunteer for a few months to get those. I had to move back in with my parents after uni...and hated it! But since I've been getting my life together, they have been so supportive and have helped me out a lot. It's a complete pain, but see it as a good thing - if you plan to save for the things you wanna do, well you don't have bills and mortgages to pay! If you don't like your job, can you change it at all? Take up a hobby so you can meet new people and build on your confidence. If you're not ready for the big goals just yet, make little ones for yourself and treat yourself when you achieve them - even if they take time to achieve. If you fail, the hard part is getting yourself back up again, but you can do it. A counsellor may be a good idea - I went to see a psychologist who went through a lot of techniques to change my thought patterns, maybe they could do the same or similar for you?
I'm sorry for writing such a long answer, but I really hope that you start to feel better. Just wanting to feel better shows that you're on the right track. Good luck :-) xx
Question: working in a kids camp in canada? hey im australian, 16 and i was thinking of travelling to canada when i leave school and to become a cap counsellor or part of the staff. i would love to do it cause i liek making new friends and metting new people and it would give me a chance to visit CANADA! woot so i was wondering if anyone would know the best way to go about this? i have set up a profile thing on a american camp website thing. but anyone got any tips?
Answer: Contact The Lions society Of BC In Vancouver They operate camps for disabled kids I think they have a web site Or try easter seals camps
Question: Taking a week off from summer camp job? I'm looking to work as a camp counsellor this summer. I have a couple summers experience at other camps but this summer I'd like to work at a more adventure oriented camp than the more traditional ones I've worked at before. Problem is, I also really want to go on a family vacation we have planned for mid-summer. Anyone know the likelihood of my finding a camp that will allow me to leave for a week? Any specific suggestions? (the trip will be in PA so near there would be good, though I'm open to traveling further afield)
Answer: I'm sure that you could be given a week off as long as you tell them well in advance. Very few camps require all staff to work every single week.
To find a camp do some research for adventure camps and how old you have to be to work there and if they need people. But since you have experience you'll probably get the job fairly easily.
