Question: hospitality? can someone describe how was the hospitality at his friend's place?
i wanna just know how can u tell someone about his hospitality
any special words to use?
i wanna tell others about their hospitality and i suggest them to go stay at their place
so i wanna describe it well... any one can help me?
Answer: If you are talking about telling someone thank you, just let them know that you really enjoyed your stay, that you were very comfortable or something along those lines. And for recommending it to someone else, just reword it a little, how comfortable and enjoyable it was...
Question: How do hospitality venues contribute to a tourism industry in a given city? What is the inderdependency of the tourism and hospitality industries in a given market?
Answer: Many dependencies. A person visits a place because of a purpose, either travel or business or function. But once he or she reaches there, he or she stays in a hotel or hospitality service provider and takes food from restaurants. The experience he or she can get from such places add to the happiness in being in that location. And if it is good or bad, the information will be passed around to others and this in turn generates better or lesser business for such establishments.
Hospitality service providers can also bring in cultural or other elements specific to the location or region and make it more worthwhile for the guest.
Question: Are there any hospitality internships available with housing? I want to do something similar to the Disney College program, but not that exact one. Basically, I am looking to get experience in the field of hospitality/guest relations without having to find an apartment, etc. I have found a lot of stuff on outdoor adventures, but I know nothing about that. Any suggestions?
Answer: uscolleges.undonet.com - try their database. It has lots of internships, job openings and scolarships for college students.
Question: What type of person would book corporate sports hospitality packages costing several thousands of pounds? I am trying to build a profile of the type of person who would book corporate sports hospitality packages. Who would they be entertaining?
Have you ever been invited to hospitality at a sports event? Who invited you?
Answer: Probably invited business clients to work out a business deal. Thats why there are so many skeboxes at sporting events. It gets the customer relaxed then they are more like to do business with the firm.
Question: What is the best way to break into the Hospitality business? Is it necessary to get schooling?
Is it important to get school trainning and/or on the job trainning.
I have a certification in massage therapy but I think I'm interested in more Hospitality business that revolve around travel, resorts, managment, and massage. I'm ready to jump hands and feet into a promising new career. What have your experiences been like with the hospitality business?
Answer: I know a very successful business man who said the best thing he ever did for training was being a caddie on a golf course at a country club. He met very wealthy people, learned a lot about business from listening to deals being made, learned when to keep his mouth shut, learned manners etc. and made good money. I assume you want to make money in the end so I think I'd learn people skills. That is very important in business.
Question: How to maintain glassware in the hospitality industry to reduce breakages? Currently doing a report on maintaining glassware such as wine glasses, high ball, water glass in the hospitality industry to reduce the amount breakages that occurs.
By chance, can anyone suggest any resource material , journals or website when i can find information that will assist me with it? Your help is apppreciated.
Answer: i can't help specifically with your quest for resource material, but i do know that its important to wash your glasses in a dishwasher that only ever washes glasses to help them stay clear and un-scratched, and also so they don't get any oily residue.
Question: What are the pros of a hospitality management major? I think I want to be an events planner. A website I read says you have to be a hospitality management major. Any pros about it? Do you have to do a lot of math? Thanks in advance!
Answer: Actually, the website was incorrect. Event planning is a growing field, and several schools now have programs specifically in that subject matter. A lot of these programs grew out of hospitality, and therefore may be related to them, but hospitality focuses on hotel and restaurant management, while events could include things like concert promotion or sports events which have nothing to do with hotels and foodservice. The school where I work has both types of program.
As to math, you don't need a lot of highly sophisticated math, but at the bare minimum, you would need accounting classes. Also, since many programs are tied to business programs, there would be a required set of business classes which would include some math. Not a lot - you aren't trying to become a mathematician - but some.
Question: How possible starting a career in hospitality with a biology degree? I'm pursuing a B.S in biology and I'll be done by next year. However, I have a huge interest working in the resorts/ hospitality type of work. This is based on I have 2 years of food service/ customer service experience. How possible and how can I jump start myself?
Answer: You don't actually need a degree to work in hospitally.
Question: Is the hospitality industry a fun industry to work in? I am getting my diploma in hospitalty tourism and leisure, I was just wondering what people think about jobs in five star hotels (like mariott), royal carribbean cruises, resorts, theme parks like universal studios and stuff like that. Are those all fun places to work in? I live in toronto and it gets ****** cold in the winter and I have family both in florida and california what do you think about a hospitality job down there?
Answer: Jobs in hospitality can be a lot of fun and the people that you work with are usually really nice too. The job can at times be stressful, though, when the hotel is crowded or when there are special events going on. Nevertheless, I would recommend a job in hospitality. It's really exciting. The large hotels always have job openings so it should be easy to get your foot in the door. Best of luck in your future career.
Question: What are my career prospects in the travel and hospitality industry? I've decided for a career in the travel and hospitality industry but i wish to find out about the opportunities in this industry. Which field in this industry would have a good level of growth.
Answer: This is a GREAT field if you have a passion for it!
You make more money in management - but you have to work your way up to it.
And, nearly all aspects are growing to the best of my understanding.
Best of luck!
