Question: neuroscience nurse do they diagnose, what are the requirments , how much do they earn? I want to find out the details behind this like do you have to have a Masters do they offer a Masters in Neuroscience nursing? etc.
Answer: Are you talking about a Nurse practitioner that specializes in neurology? The only people that can by law diagnose are those whom are given that right via their licensure and their legal job descriptions such as MDs, dentists, psychologists, podiatrists, etc etc. In the mid-level field, the 2 biggest categories are Nurse Practitioners and Physicians Assistants. For the NP, it is always a masters level; after a BSRN. I am not aware of a school that gives a specific NP degrees in neuroscience; but any general NP or PA could specialize in neurology/neuroscience after graduation with extra work & on the job training. Salary is widely dependent upon location, duties, and experience. But in a large city with experience should be around $40-50/hr and perhaps more.
Question: do you have to major in nursing to become a nurse? I am really interested in psychology and neuroscience. However, I want to become a nurse, hopefully specializing in neurology. So I was wondering if it is possible that I could major in psychology or neuroscience, but still become a nurse. Or do you absolutely have to major in nursing to become a nurse?
Answer: nursing is a major.
idk understand how anyone could think its not, since i myself am getting a major in nursing.
typically in nursing you need a bachelors or higher to specialize in a certain field. You could major in nursing and minor in psychology. Or do nursing and work long enough to work in neurology... I can't think of any other job where you start working in a specialized position besides being a doctor.
