Question: Is it possible to enhance one's natural healing process as to be instantaneous? In other words, is it possible to feed enough proteins into enzymes to speed up the natural healing process of our body's functions?
Answer: Sure. Just get a blood transfusion from Wolverine. X-men rock!
Question: Can I ask what are the common ailments of humans and the natural way of healing it? I have this boyfriend who is your average poor guy working hard to earn money to go to college. And he works at night 10pm to 6am on a nearby beach that blows cold air all the time on his flowing sweat in his entire body. He has colds and dry and wet cough. I already have forgotten my highschool lessons on that but I want to know more on experienced natural healing rememdies on this. Can I ask for a list of illnesses that humans get almost everyday and the natural way of healing them? I don't want to rely on drugs on the counter. I want his and my body to heal the natural way our bodies are capable of doing. Thanks!
Answer: Well, you need to ask yourself, does everyone else he works with get the same illnesses? If not, why does your boyfriend get them? It may be that his body isn't functioning at 100%. To know this you need to check with your chiropractor, because the nervous system controls every function of your body, and if the nervous system isn't working correctly your body is in a state of dis-ease. The longer you stay in this state the more likely your body is to have symptoms and develop a "disease". Health and sickness come from within. A weakened body is like a garbage dump. Rats survive in a dump like bacteria and viruses survive in a weakened body.
Question: How does one become certified in holistic medicine, herbology, or natural healing? I have been reading reading up on Holistic Medicine and natural healing and I have heard of people that are certified herbalists and have their own health store and set up appointments with clients. Do those people have a certificate that they studied for online or did a mail order course or are they actually college educated in their field? Can one practice Holistic Medicine or tell people how to treat their ailments through vitamins and herbs without a college degree?
Answer: Check this site for Natural/Holistic Healing :- http://www.ccnh.edu/
Take care and God Bless.
Question: Can the new natural medicine and healing movement actually be harmful?? I know that there are many benefits to natural healing and medicine but my mom recently told me that a friend of hers who had been diagnosed with breast cancer decided to not go to any doctor and to treat herself with natural methods. She died in 3 months. Can this push for natural methods actually keep some committed naturalists from getting the help they need?
Answer: Yes it can be harmful. I have a similar story to yours...my aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer. She opted for the "natural cure" and now the cancer has spread to the lymph nodes...the outlook is not good. It would be better if the holistic crowd offered their cures as something to go alongside medical treatment, rather than an alternative to the treatment.
Question: I am looking for some natural pain remedies/natural healing remedies after a surgery? Can anyone recommend something natural to help pain or speed a healing recovery after an adult tonsillectomy?

Bromelain is made from pineapples and help in the digestion of protiens which help aid in healing and they are great regarding inflammation, they have anti-inflammatory agents which help with pain and swelling. Bromlain also help reduces scaring because of it healing properties. And arnica is good for pain and helps reduces bruising and soreness.flaxseed oil is also good it reduces pain and inflammation and is great for recovery.

Question: Diagnosed with emphysema, do you know of a natural healing method to HEAL the lungs? I have been diagnosed with COPD Emphysema. The inhalers are steroids. I believe in natural healing and know it is possible to even heal cancer in that manner, versus the medical community. Has anyone ever been healed or know of a site that will give me the healing methods to overcome emphysema? Any help will be appreciated!!!
Answer: emphysema is irreversible -- meaning it canNOT be cured. once you have it, you have it for life. the only thing you can do is to take good care of yourself so that it does not worsen. (like following therapeutic measures religiously and stop smoking)
i don't believe in natural healing -- if it really existed, this would have been a medical breakthrough -- why spend all the money doing research and creating medicines, if we could get these natural things for a cheaper price?
there are 2 kinds of emphysema -- 1 is congenital (from birth) resulting from the absence of alpha-1-anti-trypsin, which helps the lungs expand, and come back to its original shape.
the 2nd one is smoking -- this destroys that elasticity, and does not help the lungs go back to its original size, so you would see people with emphysema -- they have big chests, and they'd complain that they "can't catch their breath". people with COPD -- their lungs are very very sick -- as health care providers, we watch out for these people if we were to put them on oxygen. normally, the oxygen in our body ranges from 80 to 100 mmhg (millimeters of mercury) for a COPD patient -- we lower the criteria to 60. if they inhale all those oxygen in and convert to carbon dioxide, because of their disease, this prevents them from fully exhaling all those carbon dioxide out -- which results to acidosis. then we would have to put them in a ventilator, and sedate them because it's uncomfortable (ouch!) take their blood every hour to see any improvement. they're very tough to treat, to tell you the truth. quitting smoking is one of the best cure there is. not only do they help themselves, they make our jobs easier too.
this is just one of the many effects of smoking. i get a lot of negative responses when i talk trash about smoking -- they'd tell me, "i don't care if i get sick in the future, you can't dictate me what to do! my body is my body" -- well, they're young. they still have around 15-20 years to regret and swallow what they just said.
i hope the kind of emphysema you have is congenital. if you got it from smoking, you'd probably see me roll my eyes and say "oh boy."
Question: Natural Healing for Lymes Disease on a dog? My 5 month old puppy got diagnosed with Lymes yesterday, he is taking antibiotics for 4- 6 weeks, are there any natural remedies, homeopathic remedies that might help in conjunction with the antibiotics?
Will the antibiotics be harmful for such of a long time??
He came with Lymes from the breeder, it is very sad!
Answer: Look into a product called Carnivora. It has been proven to successfully treat Lyme's disease in humans. Give your dog a lesser dose than is recommended for humans (based on the dog's weight). Carnivora is a fabulous product derived from the Venus Flytrap plant...I take it every day!
Good luck!
Question: Anyone know any natural ways of healing acne? I've have recently gotten proactiv... don't know if it will work, but i wanted to see if there was an alternative natural thing i can do... know anything about whether proactiv will work or natural healing ways... PLEASE DONT HESITATE AND HOLLER :)
Answer: Cleanse daily, avoid washing away natural oils with soaps or washes, this causes skin to produce more oil than normal which clogs pores. I recommend Oil Cleansing Method (OCM), it doesn't strip away natural oils so is healthy, reduces acne and heals scars. Mix half Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) to moisturize and half Castor Oil (CO) to cleanse, change mix as your skin changes, also try adding tea tree oil as it's antibacterial. Massage mix into your face, then put a hot face cloth onto your face for at least 1 minute, this opens up pores letting the oil cleanse. Wipe off oil, any trace amounts of oil are absorbed so skin won't be greasy. http://www.moogoo.com.au/category13_1.htm Have your own face cloth and towel, keep them clean and dry to avoid bacteria growth which can cause spots. Moisturize daily, as long as it's not greasy it won't cause spots, but don't be scared to use oils such as Bio Oil which will heal scars too, remember oil is actually good for your skin.
Once a week steam to open pores by putting your head under a towel over a bowl of hot water, but don't do this during breakouts as it stimulates blood flow and oil glands which can make things worse. Exfoliate weekly to scrub off dead skin, use something with rounded beads as things such as apricot kernels have sharp edges which cause small cuts leading to spots. Another way to exfoliate is cosmetic vinegar which also promotes circulation, regulates skins pH and is antiseptic. Mix 500ml of apple cider vinegar, 3ml lavender essential oil, 3ml rosemary essential oil, 2ml rosewood essential oil, and 2 tablespoons glycerine. Place into a glass bottle, use as cleanser by adding 1 tablespoon vinegar to 1 cup of water. Try masks too, they are easy to make and there are many recipes online, see Make Your Own Cosmetics http://www.makeyourcosmetics.com or Pioneer Thinking http://www.pioneerthinking.com try this mask;
Strawberry acne mask;
Ingredients: ½ cup fresh strawberries, 1 egg white, 2 teaspoons of honey.
Mix together ingredients until smooth using a blender or a fork. To use spread over face and leave for 15 minutes, rinse off with cool water and pat dry. This one is good as strawberries are rich in salicylic acid which is commonly used in acne treatments, honey is also antibacterial.
Keep yourself healthy, diet is a big factor so make sure to get a healthy diet with plenty of fruit and vegetables as well as a lot of water, but avoid salty foods as iodine aggravates acne, try also a good multivitamin - vitamins A, B6, zinc and chromium help to clean up acne. Get plenty of exercise, sleep and stay stress-free. Pay particular attention to your skin during harsh weather when it is more prone to damage, also avoid agrivation from the sun by using plenty of sunscreen. Make-up is best avoided all together, but if you do wear it use as little as possible and keep your make-up clean as dirty sponges or hands in make-up causes spots. Use mineral foundation as it has great coverage but is light so won't clog pores and is free from harmful ingredients, most commercial brands make mineral ranges now so it's easy to find.
Question: Has anyone had any luck with natural healing from endometetriosis? I am considering having the surgery because i have been in severe pain for months- but i would like to try some herbal or natural remedies first. Has anyone had any luck at all with this- or is my only option surgery? (i refuse to take the shot)
Answer: Contrary to common misconceptions about the disease, there is no cure. There are, however, several methods of treatment which may alleviate some of the pain and symptoms.
How Supplements Can Help
You can begin with daily doses of two herbs traditionally paired together: chasteberry and dong quai. They can help balance hormones that cause endometrial pain. They also relax the uterus, a benefit also true of the herb wild yam.
Because endometriosis is thought to be a condition of "estrogen excess," taking a daily lipotropic combination, which makes the liver more efficient at clearing extra estrogen from the body, can help. A suggested combination might contain milk thistle, choline, inositol hexaniacinate, methionine, and dandelion.
In high doses, calcium and magnesium can relieve menstrual pain by lowering levels of prostaglandins (body chemicals produced by the uterine cells that cause cramps). If you decide to take a high-dose calcium/magnesium supplement for painful cramps, take it only during your period.
Other supplements, which you can include simply because they have so many positive effects throughout the body, may also help with endometriosis. Vitamin E balances hormones, reduces inflammation, and boosts the immune system.
Evening primrose oil (or the less expensive borage oil) and flaxseed oil provide essential fatty acids that help control inflammation and block cramp-causing prostaglandins.
Vitamin C can hasten the healing of tissues damaged by cysts and scarring; it also helps control heavy bleeding by strengthening capillary walls.
Consider acupuncture treatments. This therapy, in conjunction with Chinese herbs, has been seen to alter and balance the body's hormones and to provide pain relief for endometriosis.
Question: Is natural healing a form of witchcraft? I have heard this mentioned in some groups and it is disregarded as an option because of this. I am interested in becomming a healer and wondered if there is still stigma attached to it. It obviously wont make any difference to me, I am just wondering
Answer: Healing belongs to ALL religions and NO religion. A religion without healing I feel to be an incomplete one.
It is a part of witchcraft for it is energy work. it is through witchcraft that you can get an understanding and excel in the healing field.
For instance reiki belongs to evreyone, but it is through it's teachigns and the of witchcraft that I have come to learn mroe on it.
I consider it a part of it because it is connected with each other. Not may other religions help in explaining this.
But at the end of the day healing does not just belong to witchcraft and is a universal practice.
Blessings,
Shadow
Question: What is the name of this natural healing book? I'm posting it here because I'm sure someone might know the answer. It's in pretty much every herbal shop, it's big and I think it's a brown or a red color and I know it has the world "prescription" on the front in blue cursive writing I think
Answer: slight correction to above.....the Prescription for Nutritional Healing-4th edition- is by the wife, Phyllis A Balch, not Bach
Question: Do you believe in natural healing alternatives like aroma therapy, herbal teas and meditation? Do you think they can have real health benifits?
Answer: No.
I think seeing an alternative practitioner, and getting the time and undivided attention you pay for and the opportunity to talk about yourself and your problem(s) can make you feel more relaxed, and happy that someone is taking you seriously, and all that makes you feel better.
Similarly treating yourself to aromatherapy baths etc makes you feel more relaxed and less stressed. So does meditation.
And for very minor ailments, sometimes teas and other natural 'treatments' can make you feel better, and are in any case harmless
But I'm strongly against advocating alternative 'healing' for genuine illnesses. In this context alternative is another word for unproven. If any alternative medicine had been proven to work, it would no longer be alternative medicine, it would just be medicine.
I use the YA Cancer forum a lot, and every day people with no experience or knowledge of cancer post advising terrified, desperate and highly vulnerable people to abandon conventional treatment and go with untested, unproven, ineffective and sometimes dangerous alternatives.
People who fear for their lives are advised to rely on herbs, juices, water (!), apricot kernels, shark cartilage, cottage cheese, restrictive diets, teas, vitamin C. hydrogen peroxide, electrical devices, mistletoe and other hocus pocus.
I am deeply concerned that there are people who might decide to abandon treatment that would give them a chance of cure or remission and invest money, hope and - most dangerous of all - time on these ineffective 'treatments'.
I was actually something of an alternatives enthusiast myself until I got cancer and did an enormous amount of research into possible alternatives and discovered the ruthless charlatanism of the muti-million pound 'alternative cancer industry' and that anyone with any understanding of the biology of cancer couldn't possibly believe in such rubbish.
Question: Real natural healing for genital warts? Doing many searches, and lots of claims for natural remedies and removal, etc. for hpv and/or the cosmetic warts. Has anyone a proven natural remedy or removal for these things? Prefer something somewhat affordable and will not leave scars. I am familiar w/ natural practices, etc. and would appreciate only result-proven methods.
Answer: Genital warts are one of the most common sexually transmitted infections. The warts are harmless and affect the genital and anal area of both men and women and are most common in young sexually active adults.
Genital warts are caused by a group of viruses called Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). There are over 100 types of HPV, most of which do not cause disease in healthy people.
About 80% of sexually active people have HPV infection at some stage in their lives. Most HPV infections clear by themselves under the influence of the immune system.
Two of the sexually transmitted HPV types (6 and 11) are known to cause genital warts.
About one in ten people carry these HPV types but only one in a hundred will develop visible warts.
The HPV types that cause genital warts are harmless but other invisible high-risk HPV types, which are sexually transmitted, can increase a woman’s risk of cervical cancer.
Clinic treatments include:
Cryotherapy: Freezing of the warts by liquid nitrogen. Once weekly treatments are recommended and it may be necessary to make multiple visits to the clinic.
Home treatments:
These include creams or solutions, which are applied on to the surface of the warts. These treatments can be prescribed by your doctor and can take from 4 to 16 weeks to work.
If there are a number of large or very persistent warts, referral to hospital for laser therapy, electro-cautery or surgery may be necessary.
Yoga, massage relaxation and not focusing on your problem can also help
The homeopathic remedy Thuja can also be helpful in the treatment of genital warts,
The prescription for Thuja is as follows:
One 30c tablet to be taken three times a day for three days over 4-5 weeks. Tablets should not be touched but dispensed into the lid of the tablet bottle, placed in the mouth and sucked not swallowed. Thuja should not be taken with food or drink.
Question: natural healing of Inflammation of cartilage in chest? A few months ago I was having pains in my chest but nothing that makes me feel like its my heart but like tearing muscles or tendons in my chest when I would stretch or lift something heavy, my doctor said its inflammation of cartilage in my chest and just to take Ibuprofen everyday but I would like to know if there are any natural remedies I could use. Thanks!!!
Answer: Cold will help, an ice pack will reduce swelling. It's also important to understand why it did that in the first place. My husband has a similar problem. It used to cause him daily pain, now that we know what causes it, he hasn't had a problem in a really long time. His problem was muscle tension in his back pulling his ribs out of place. A trip to the chiropractor would help, but now that I am a massage therapist I can relieve the problem before it even starts. So chiropractors and massage therapists might be able to help. The quick fix is ice, and avoiding the activities that cause pain until it heals by itself. Good luck!

Answer: Young Living Essential Oil: Helichrysum, Therapeutic compounds, from the Mediterranean would be the very best.
