Question: What is the NTTDA (Total Dental Administrator Network)?
Answer: Are you sure it even exsists?
Question: If I disagree with a dental bill for a missed appointment, what recourse do I have? I called and provided 24 hours notice that I would not be coming in for the appointment.
Their computer system was down at the time of the call and the change wasn't reflected until the following day. At which point a RN who was required for the procedure had arrived and needed to be paid.
The dentist in turn charged me for a missed appointment and the administrator who took the original call is lying for some reason (probably because she's made this type of mistake before) and I'm left with a bill in my hands.
Answer: well my advice would be to report the matter to higher authorities so that they can take an action!
Question: How to set up a self funded dental plan? Small business (only 4 employees), want to set up plan. Do I HAVE to go through a 3rd party administrator, or can we keep it in-house.
Are there any tax ramifications either way.
This is for SELF FUNDED. Not wanting to buy an outside plan or insurance.
for example http://www.directreimbursement.com/plans…
Answer: No, you do not have to go through the 3rd party administrator. However, you do want to go through a local agent. The agent can find the best plan for your group. The plan and the premium is the same using an agent as it is going through a company directly and the agent will give you local support. The taxes are the same either way.
Question: Best Way to Advertise? Hello. I am advertising a Dental Assisting/Dental Administrator school with programs that last 12-16 weeks. Our targeted demographics are 18-28 years old, male or female, renters or homeowners and highschool graduates. I am considering billboards, television ads, radio ads, mailers, adwords with google.....what do you think will work the best? Do you have any better ideas? Thank you for your help!
Answer: It sounds like you are going about this in a well thought out way! I'll break my thoughts down by form of media.
Radio-audiences are shrinking. make sure to get any ad into drive time 6am to 9am and evening driving hours.
Billboards-how many of us actually read them much anymore?
Television ads are can be very expensive.
Mailers-do most 18-28 year olds read mailers? I'd use that for an older audience.
I think internet is the way to go if you can get it to your specific geographical region.
I'm taking a mass communications class and trying to help but hoping some others with official advertising experience will chime in.
Good luck!
P.S. Just had an idea. Are there local papers with an audience directed at your demographics?
Question: starting own business but don't know what to do? I want to start my own company i am tired of working for someone else i want to be my own boss but i just cant think of anything i am good at. I currently work in the dental field as an administrator doing insurance any ideas?
Answer: Use this basic checklist to make sure all the important steps are taken before you launch your new venture. This business checklist will make sure that you cross all your t's and dot all your i's before your business launch.

Question: Help? What should I be when I'm older? I NEED HELP ON WHAT TO BE WHEN IM OLDER.
I want to have a job in which my parents would be proud of me.
I want to help people in my job.
I want to be paid alot.
I want to make a difference in peoples life. (Positively of corse)
I want to enjoy going to work every day
I am a very good speaker.
I want my job to be really interesting
I am confident, always say what I feel.
WHAT SHOULD I BECOME?
This is a list of things I am interested in being.
A Lawyer?
A Psychologist?
A Counsellor?
A nurse?
A Dental Assistant?
A teacher or possibly a Principal or ***. Principal?
Office Administrator?
Receptionist?
Law Clerk?
Business Manager?
IF YOU ARE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING TELL ME ABOUT WHAT SUBJESTS YOU NEED TO DO IN SCHOOL AND WHAT YOU THINK OF YOUR JOB
Thanks.
WHEN I MEAN "OLDER" I MEAN IN TWO YEARS
Answer: Hmm. You can make a difference in someone's life no matter what your job. If you are an excellent receptionist, you will do help people calm down, you will save people time, and you can contribute to the profits of a company by making the company more efficient. If you are an excellent doctor, you can save lives. So, to make a difference, you should try to be the *best* and most *caring* professional person you can, no matter what your job.
Most of the jobs on your list pay well and would make most parents proud. Being a teacher (my job) is wonderful, and it certainly helps to be a good speaker. However, it doesn't pay as well as some of the other things on your list, such as being a lawyer. The highest-paid professions on your list are probably lawyer, psychologist, and business manager.
Other things to consider are the lifestyle you want as an adult. Receptionists and dental assistants can work 9-5, M-F. Lawyers, business managers, and nurses often work very long hours. Their schedules can be very difficult.
The one thing that is clear from your list, however, is that you don't really have a strong sense of your own interests. Your list is too broad. You need to ask yourself some of the following questions:
*Do I want an office job, or a job where I can move around a lot?
*Do I enjoy helping people learn things?
*How important is it to me to be challenged at my job?
*Do I prefer working with numbers or with words?
*How important is it to me to work with people?
*Do I want to be a boss or a leader some day? Or will I be most happy helping others lead?
*What is my favorite subject in school? What professions are connected to that subject?
I also wonder why you feel like you have to find the answer in 2 years. Many people are in the middle of college before they find the answers to these questions. In fact, I usually tell students that it's unwise to decide on a career too early. Just like you, most students need a lot of time to explore possibilities and learn about themselves before they can make this choice wisely. I doubt that you will be ready to answer this question in 2 years. However, you will probably be ready to make *other* decisions that will lead to an excellent career, decisions such as what to study in college or where to go for advanced education.
Instead of imagining how you (or other people) will feel about your job, try to imagine how you will feel *when you are actually doing your job*. :) If you think it would be fun to be a lawyer because it pays well, but you think that a lawyer's work is very, very boring, then being a lawyer is likely to make you unhappy. Then, go visit some places where people are performing those jobs. See if you can get work as a receptionist, in a law office, or in a dental office. You could even volunteer. Hands-on work will help you find the answer!

Question: How can I get my unused flexible spending account money, if I left the employer before Dec? I opted to put lot of money in FSA account (about $2500), based on my anticipated dental work in December holidays. However, I quit the employer in Oct. Till oct, I have put $2000 in my FSA account, and it is unclaimed sofar. On the last day of my employment, my employer told me that I should use all the money by the end of october (not before december), otherwise it will be lost. It was a big shocking for me.The FSA plan administrator also concur this. Is there any way I can do dental work in december and get it reimbused from my FSA account, with my previous employer? Is it IRS rule that if the employee leaves in between the plan year, the FSA benefit stops at that month and all the unused money will be lost? who will take that money? Is it my previous employer or IRS?
Answer: The FSA administrator can only reimburse you for expenses incurred while you were an employee. Once you quit, you stopped being a covered employee at midnight. Obviously you could submit expenses that had already been incurred by that date, but no new expenses.
Your company "gets the funds"--to offset the expenses they incurred in running the plan. They cannot and will not make an exception in your case.
Bummer.
