Question: What would the starting salary be for a "Clinical Project Manager" position? This position is out of my field, BUT a software company contacted me and seem to be interested in me for this position. I don't know much about what the starting range is. The company promotes software to healthcare companies, and I would be responsible for tailoring treatment plans, presenting the software to companies, etc.
My degree is in clinical psychology, but this is an underpaid field and I'm wondering if I will get a higher salary as a cliniacl project manager.
Can anybody give me some info? I would appreciate it a lot.
Answer: Hope this link helps for all information, tips and help about salary check out http://moreaboutsalary.blogspot.com/

Answer: A Clinical Data Management System or CDMS is used in clinical research to manage the data of a clinical trial. The clinical trial data gathered at the investigator site in the Case Report Form are stored in the CDMS. To reduce the possibility of errors due to human entry, the systems employ different means to verify the entry. The most popular method being double data entry.
Once the data has been screened for typographical errors, the data can be validated to check for logical errors. An example is a check of the subject's age to ensure that they are within the inclusion criteria for the study. These errors are raised for review to determine if there is an error in the data or clarification from the investigator is required.
Another function that the CDMS can perform is the coding of data. Currently, the coding is generally centered around two areas; Adverse event Terms and Medication Names. With the variance on the number of references that can be made for Adverse event Terms or Medication names, standard dictionaries of these terms can be loaded into the CDMS. The data items containing the Adverse event Terms or Medication Names can be linked to one of these dictionaries. The system can check the data in the CDMS and compare it to the dictionaries. Items that do not match can be flagged for further checking. Some systems allow for the storage of synonyms to allow the system to match common abbreviations and map them to the correct term. As an example, ASA could be mapped to Aspirin, a common notation. Popular Adverse event dictionaries are MedDRA and WHOART and popular Medication dictionaries are COSTART and WHO-DRUG.
At the end of the clinical trial the dataset in the CDMS is analyzed and sent to the regulatory authorities for approval.
Question: Which position is higher in data management, Lead Clinical Data Manager or Senior Clinical Data Manager? Which position is higher in data management, Lead Clinical Data Manager or Senior Clinical Data Manager?
What's the next level of data management position in a CRO?
Thanks!
Answer: You can't tell exclusively from the title. You need to look at the job duties of each to tell.
Question: How can I get into the clinical research field after getting a PhD in a life science? I'm finding this very difficult as I am viewed as overqualified for an entry level position, but underqualified for higher level positions because I have no clinical research experience. My goal is to be a clinical trials project manager. I need good advice. Thanks!
Answer: I would hate for you to have to downplay your PhD. Where have you been applying? Have you tried contract research companies (they run trials for companies). Pharmaceutical companies may also have their own staff and would probably be more open to highly educated people as yourself, as they generally pay well.
Are you networking? After earning an advanced degree I would expect you to have some contacts in your field. If not, trying contacting appropriate managers at companies you are targeting and ask if they would grant you an informational meeting. Just be up front and tell them that this field interests you and you want to learn more about it. I'll bet if you targeted 10 companies you would find at least 3 managers willing to talk to you for 15-20 minutes in such a "no obligation" situation. They may even decide they like you and keep you in mind when they have an opening! Good luck.
Question: Clinical Data Manager or Clinical Project Manager? I am a Senior Clinical Data Mgr. and I have the opportunity to become a Clinical Proj Mgr. I have an MSc degree. Could someone compare the opportunities that both positions would provide? The Clinical Proj Mgr. seems to oversee how a study moves along by communicating between investigators, sponsors, monitors, along with some involvement in the development of the protocol. Have I understood the the project mgr. role correctly? Could the project mgr. job lead to other higher chances (perhaps management) in Clin Res. at a pharmaceutical company, or would a Senior Data Mgr. role offer more of a steady dependable job? There seems to be slightly more of a need for data mgrs. at the moment. What job can pay more money as a contractor on an hourly basis, and as a permanent job? Are there contract proj. mgr. jobs? I thought that a proj mgr. job would be a break, but I don't want to lose data mgmt. skills if a project mgr job has no steady future. What job is higher up the ladder?
Answer: As an ex - Project Engineer, go for your Project, as I see it Data, you are nothing more than a god damn typist,.....UPDATE,...ENJOY!
Question: clinical trials study manager? Is anyone there a study manager? Is it a good job, do you enjoy it? what are the pros and cons?
Answer: this job profile needs to give 24x7 hrs to the company so you dont have time for recreations,& the promotions are slow. they onnly pay handsome amount after 2-3 years exp.
Question: clinical data manager training?
Answer: take statistics class
Question: what is clinical ITM (information technology manager)? in computer
Answer: An information technology manager who's data is of a clinical (medical) nature. Such a person would be responsible for information systems which probably deal with patient records, chronic diseases, drug experiment data, or operation of medical devices (like x-ray scanners etc).
I would imagine such a position would offer a lot of money to the person who fills it since the data they deal with could be of life and death. My guess is some form of medical know how would be an asset to someone in that position.
Good luck!
Question: is it impossible to select at random 10 ART cycle that did not result in a clinical pregnancy? How would you determine if your manager's view is correct, that it is impossible to select at random 10 ART (Assisted Reproductive Technologies) cycles that did not result in a clinical pregnancy?
Answer: WHAT?
Question: what would you do in this situation as a case manager? You are a case manager in a community mental health center. Many of your clients are homeless and have either mental disorders or substance abuse and health problems.
Health problems in the homeless are exacerbated by their homeless status. Exposure to extreme temperatures and a lack of sanitary facilities, nutritious food, restful sleep, and support networks worsen infections and chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease. The homeless are less likely to take their medications for their mental and other physical diseases. Most homeless do not seek health care until they are so sick or injured that they have to be transported to the emergency room by ambulance.
Although there is a community health center in the county, it is not accessible financially or geographically to the homeless. After determining the needs of the homeless population in your case load, you meet with the leaders of all the agencies that provide services to the homeless, including the health center. You learn that there are three shelters, one food bank, and two faith-based initiatives providing services to the homeless.
A collaborative decision is made to provide basic health services in the shelters. The health center will supply the clinical providers, supplies, and equipment; the shelters will provide the space, furniture, and utilities; and the mental health center will provide on-site case management that includes counseling and support groups.
Answer: Add what resources you can to the community effort.
