Question: Where can i get a in home nurse for alzheimers?? i need someone to tell me a website or something to help me find a in home nurse for alzheimers disease. preferably bilingual. ive already tried google so please dont offer that. THANKS A LOT
Answer: Talk to the doctor's office. Whoever diagnosed and is treating your loved one has access to all you need to know...look in the Sunday paper in the family section or call any BIG hospital they also have info or call any hospital referral number...there are nurse agencies in the phone book. You will probably need help from the doctor's office to wade thru all the paperwork so this gets paid for...good luck.
Question: Do you have a lots of Job as a Nursing person, Im bilingual in spanish, want to emmigrate to work. Is money ok?
Answer: You have to go to school here in the US in order to work as a nurse. But once you have your certifications, there is plenty of work available everywhere and a shortage of qualified nurses, so you will never lack for work. You can earn more money by taking additional courses and gaining new certifications once you are working.
Question: Are bilingual healthcare providers paid more than English speaking only caregivers? I am going into the nursing field and I have a bit of spanish, but I was thinking of trying to really learn the language and culture because where I live there is a tremendous need for spanish speaking nurses and caregivers..
Answer: No-
But they are preferred.
Say you and another person applied for a job they and you spoke two languages and they spoke one. You would be the preferred person.

Question: How does one find an article when one does not know the author or the source? The article addresses the benefits of a bilingual education in the United States. Here is a quotation: "On the other hand, modern travel is so efficient and obtainable, the ability to be bilingual or even milti-lingual allows one mobility and increased experiences in life.:" The writer goes on to discuss the advantages of teaching Spanish to young children and the advantages of speaking two languages in certain occupations, specifically in the nursing field.
I want to know who wrote the article and where it was originally printed.
Thank you for any help.
Answer: Try typing the key words into a search on Google or Yahoo. If the article is published (or even quoted) online, it should allow you to find the source.
Question: Can I minor in both Spanish and French? I want to be a nurse (and a doctor eventually) and I live in Texas so I realize that being bilingual (Spanish) is beneficial. However, I love love love French and I wanna minor in it too. Is that possible?
Answer: Yes! Wow I Love French Also. I had To Take Both French And Spanish In High School. Good Luck With It!
Question: Why don't all the British People try this? Enter Pakistan, Afghanistan or Iraq illegally. Never mind immigration quotas, visas, international law, or any of that nonsense.
Once there, demand that the local government provide free medical care for you and your entire family.
Demand bilingual nurses & doctors. Demand free bilingual local government forms, bulletins, etc.
Procreate abundantly. Deflect any criticism of this allegedly irresponsible reproductive behaviour with, "It is a cultural thing; you wouldn't understand."
Keep your British identity strong. Fly the your national flag from your rooftop, or proudly display it in your front window, or on your car bumper.
Speak only English at home & in public & insist that your children do likewise.
Demand classes on English culture in the Muslim school system.
Demand a local country driver license. This will afford other legal rights and will go far to legitimise your unauthorised, illegal, presence in Pakistan, Afghanistan or Iraq.
Drive around with no liability insurance and ignore local traffic laws.
Insist that local country law enforcement teaches English to all its Officers.
Organise protest marches against your host country, inciting violence against non-Brits, non-Christians, and the government that let you in.
Good luck! You'll soon be dead.
Because it will never happen in Pakistan, Afghanistan or Iraq or any other country in the world except right here in the UK For we are run by soft, politically correct politicians, that are too scared to "offend" anyone.
NOW TO MAKE IT CLEAR! I'm not a member or supporter of the BNP but they are saying the things the UK public want to hear and that is why they WILL make big gains in the election today.
Answer: Do us a favour and become the prime minister!
Question: I'm trying to learn spanish. Does anyone know of any good soft ware I can purchase? I'm a college student with a pre nursing degree and I'm trying to get a job in the medical field until I finish school. But most of the positions I apply for want u to be bilingual or at least it's a preferance. I really need to learn this language and I don't want to take it at school because I already have too many credits for an Associate degree and I don't want anything to interfere with my finantial aid for nursing school.
Answer: Paso a Paso. Used in schools. It's easy to learn from this book.
Question: Do you think this would work? Enter Pakistan, Afghanistan or Iraq illegally.

Answer: Kudos to you brother!!
Question: Should spanish be taught K-12th in the US? It's getting increasingly harder to find jobs that do not require bilingual abilities in california. I believe the statistic is 40% of california's elementary students are hispanic. Therefore, bilingual is a growing hidden requirement for teaching or teacher assisting in the US. Many of the restraunts and stores tend to hire bilingual first. Nurses are increasingly spanish speaking. Why should the people who are causing the bilingual problem be profitting from the problem they've caused? Not only do they have a preference for the jobs, they get bilingual pay!
Answer: Hell fucking no!
And I use those terms to make it clear that I am opposed to accommodating to the Spanish group of people.
There are a lot of Korean people where I live, I don’t see Korean being a requirement!! (And I am just using them as a reference)
Making everyone learn Spanish is giving in to their culture and will make their life easier! Allowing employers to let them pay Native Speakers (and by that I mean people who were born here from Spanish parents and know both) is a sort of discrimination because it does not require you any additional schooling or whatever that would justify you to make more money. (I.E. HS Diploma, Associate, Bachelor.. etc..) Unless you majored in something to do with Spanish speaking countries.
It is wrong, and things need to change! It I was an Asian citizen I would be appalled at how much the Spanish community is being accommodated!!
Question: Illegal Immigration? Enter MEXICO illegally. Never mind immigration quotas, visas, international law, or any of that nonsense. Once there, demand that the local government provide free medical carefor you and your entire family. Try driving around as a Gringo in Mexico with no liability insurance, and have an accident. Demand bilingual nurses and doctors.
Demand free bilingual local government forms, bulletins, etc.
Procreate abundantly. Deflect any criticism of this allegedly irresponsible reproductive behavior with, "It is a cultural UnitedStates thing. You would not understand, pal."
Demand classes on American culture in the Mexican school system.
Demand a local Mexican driver license. This will afford other legalrights and will go far to legitimize your unauthorized, illegal, presence in Mexico.
Insist that local Mexican law enforcement teach English to all its officers.
This will never work in the real world. So why do we let them do it to us?
Answer: Tell you what, name one Democrat that is not sitting on his hands bickering to the Republicans about how there party stinks. Not one. Both political parties are taking advantage of the people who vote for them by not doing ANYTHING to come up with solutions to any problems. Take illegal immigration for example. They go, they stay, whatever the decision at least we have the chance to get over it but they need to start making decisions NOW before the rift between Americans gets so wide that we all reach our boiling points. I agree it is time for a change but if you vote Dem or Rep you will just get another shell of a human that is only out for his own, or the parties gain. If you disagree feel free to write me.
Question: send all illegals home!agree or disagree???? Subject: TRY THIS CRAP IN MEXICO
If you are ready for the adventure of a lifetime,
TRY THIS:Enter Mexico illegally. Never mind immigration quotas, visas, international law, or any of that nonsense.

behavior with, "It is a cultural USA thing. You would not understand, pal."Keep your American identity strong. Fly Old Glory from your rooftop,or proudly display it in your front window or on your car bumper.Speak only English at home and in public and insist that your children do likewise.Demand classes on American culture in the Mexican school system.
Demand a local Mexican driver license. This will afford other legal rights and will go far to legitimize your unauthorized, illegal ability to work.
Answer: You did a great job at summarizing my feelings too! I definitely agree with you. Remember, United We Stand, Divided We Fall. And I thought the time spent in history class with wasted. I am beginning to see some similarities here. I still don't understand how any red-blooded American can sit idly by and allow this to happen. I have become very vocal with my congressmen, senators, representatives, etc. And you know, they actually act like them are glad to hear from me. The more people they have telling them how they feel about the situation, the stronger our (We the People) voice will be.
P.S. I would only go to Mexico and do those things you mentioned if I had a death wish!!
Question: would i like a nursing career? I am considering changing my career to nursing but want to hear from others in the profession about how much they like it, what are the pro's and con's, the hours, and of course how is the salary and vacation time. also, is it a bad idea to get an associates and go back later for a bachelor's? i am older so i would ike to start working in the career sooner than later. i am bilingual ad have a degree in education.
thanks!
Answer: I agree with Dave's answer. The cons for some people would be the night hours and short staffed. The salary and vacation are good where I work. We have a program where I live if you already have a degree you can go through an accelerated program which takes a little longer than a year. The pro's are a very rewarding career most of the time....yes we also see the bad side and sometimes really don't understand why people have to go through so much sorrow...then you turn around have a patient you think that is not going to survive..you work and work with this patient, one day you get to see this person leave the hospital..... a couple of years later they come up to you and say do you remember me......what a great feeling this is to know they remember you as their nurse and to see how well they have recovered.
Question: which one of these careers pays the most? I took a career test and it gave me a list of things i would enjoy, which one could i do if i started out in community college with a GED
possible professions include - nurse, social worker, caterer, flight attendant, bookkeeper, medical/dental assistant, exercise physiologist, elementary school teacher, minister/priest/rabbi, retail owner, officer manager, telemarketer, counselor, special education teacher, merchandise planner, credit counselor, athletic coach, insurance agent, sales representative, massage therapist, medical secretary, child care provider, bilingual education teacher, professional volunteer.
Answer: Well, the one that pays most would have to be the careers that is the
insurance agent and the sales representatives. You see, those careers have something to do with business administration and management, which ranked #1 as the job that pays most and has a good popularity.
Beginning salary is $57,132.
Question: How much more money can an (new)RN make being bilingual? Hopefully completing my degree in Nursing (RN), in 2011. I currently have a A.S. in Nutrition. Anyway I can combined those two later. I want to know HOW MUCH MORE CAN YOU EXPECT TO GET OFFERED KNOWING SPANISH? I DONT KNOW IT TOO MUCH NOW, BUT KNOW BASIC THINGS AND SOME OF MY FAMILY SPEAKS IT AS WELL. I WILL BE LEARNING IT NOW UNTIL I GRADUATE, HOPEFULLY BY THEN I CAN BE FLUENT AND MY 4 YEAR OLD WANTS TO LEAR BADLY, SO I NEED TO KNOW. I KNOW SOME SIGN LANGUAGE TO.
CURRENTLY LIVING IN SO CALIFORNIA
IT WOULD BE A RN NOT BSN (LATER, I WILL WORK ON THAT WHEN I FIND SOMETHING I WOULD LIKE TO SPECIALIZE IN).
EXCUSE MY SPELLING AS I TYPE WAY TOO FAST!
Answer: It won't increase your earn unless, as the person above me said, there is a shortage of RNs who are bilingual.
But it is a very useful skill to have in your profession, especially if you work in a county hospital. You will get a lot more patients who are native Spanish speakers working in a county hospital due to the higher level of underprivilaged and uninsured patients from places such as Mexico, than you would going private.
Question: Help me choose a DOUBLE MAJOR? I am a Psychology major transferring to UCLA next fall.

History - same as english
Korean - bilingual advantage (i'm 2nd gen Korean)
Religious Studies - i just find it interesting

What are the benefits of doubling in a Humanities versus a Science? What did you, yourself, major in? What did your Psych friends minor in? Your thoughts on any of the listed majors? Your recommendations on a major that's not listed?
Any intelligent advice would be appreciated!
