Question: Why did past security operations led by the USA military fail in Iraq? Source: CNN News.... Two past security operations in the capital over the past nine months — Operations Together Forward I and II — have failed and the United States blamed Iraqi authorities for failing to produce the number of troops promised. Is this another Vietnam in the making?
Answer: In Vietnam, we had something called the Vietnamization of the war effort, which entailed the training of South Vietnamese so that they could be self-sufficient in the defense of Vietnam from Communism, so that U.S. troops could leave the country. That effort failed because of our inability to grasp the cultural dynamics of Vietnam.
The same is occurring in Iraq, with a culture that is even more adverse to ours than Vietnam. The reason why “Operations Together Forward” and its sequel were abject failures is because we don’t understand the cultural inner workings of Iraqi society. So any effort by our military to train security forces will not work. We are training men to fight against their own kin. This will not do. Nothing could bring about more internal dissension and desertion from the security forces than this.
Our failure to study the mores and ways of people is the reason why we are not making any headway in Iraq. Of course what do you expect from a war strategy and occupation plan fashioned by men like Bush, Rumsfield, and Wolfiwitz who have previously showed no expertise or exposure to foreign history or culture. I believe Hegel stated that “We learn from history that we never learn anything from history.” I would add that if we learned anything from U.S. culture, it is that we don’t care about any other culture. Ultimately, it is that apathy or even antipathy of other cultures that leads to our foibles abroad.
Question: what does a quality assurance do in a security operations center?
Answer: I have no direct experience in a security operations center - although I do have over 30 years in quality assurance.
My guess would be around the use a various types and applications of data collections and analysis. Along with using standard prevention techniques to look at how processes/systems are conducted and carried out. Thus, does the secrity operation center use a good quality management system as called in ISO 9001 procedures.
You may wish to check with the American Society for Quality (ASQ) at 800-248-1946 to see what specifics they may have on this.
Question: What problems have been commonly encountered when the UN has undertaken peacekeeping operations? Here is the rest again folx.. Plss help! What guidelines would you suggest the UN follow in order to maximize the likelihood that its peace and security operations are successful? Once again.. please try to explain your reasoning. If not thank you for even bothering to look at my Q!!!
Answer: I say, The U.N should make all countries around the world pay tax to them. In order to pay for the funding of the U.N. the more money the U.N has the more they can accomplish. If they recruited from every country around the world and not get a set number from each country. They would have a more powerful peace keeping force. No country should be stronger than the U.N. Nore shall a country be head of the U.N. It should be it's own separate Organization. The law is the law and that's how the world should look at it. Weather you are a powerful Nation or not you break a law you pay the piper. They should have control of all Military Forces. They should be able to Arrest all leaders if laws are broken. No, country would agree to these terms and conditions so the U.N. can never undertake this for peacekeeping operations. In other words the only way we can have peace in this world, Is for another group or organization not from this planet to start war with us. Then shall we band together to fight off this invader.

Im joing the Air National Guard and im not sure exactly which job interest me more, which is more benificial in the civilian world, and if any of them have a sign bonus.... Any help???
Answer: Paralegal is the best job. Get training that can get you a 40k job starting, up to 70k or 80k job with 10+ years of experience. The CCAF for Paralegal is ABA (American Bar Association) certified. It is by far the best out of the 3 for the civilian world.
Question: What does Store Operations mean? What comes under "Store Operations"? Housekeeping? Security?
I need to select a retailer and study their store operations for a project.
Answer: Store operations is exactly what it is: operating and overseeing all the functions of the store from setting up shop, deciding what type of store you want, what products you want to sell, deciding on what type of customers you are trying to attract into your store (young, old, fat, skinny, thrifty or extravagant), then ordering the products, hiring personnel, pricing the products, deciding on a location, taking an inventory, advertising the products, etc... and it would be categorized as a "business".
Question: What are some interview questions for a MANAGER Operations and Finance? Include suggested answer if possible, please.
QUALIFICATIONS: (1) min. Bachelor in Business or Public Admin., (2) 5 yrs supervisory experience, (3) deal with range of stakeholders
ORGANIZATION: publicly funded, not-for-profit
Responsibilities include:
FINANCIAL-prep. financial info for board, prep. annual budget & ops plan, review claims, participate in audits
OPERATIONS-establish customer service standards, special projects (e.g., corp structure, activity reports, set up financial reporting systems), facilities, security, & IS planning, policies and procedures, personnel (e.g., perf. reviews, recruit, supervise admin and bookkeeping staff, etc.)
I'm hoping for skill-specific questions (operations and finance). I have all sorts of other resources for the standard interview questions (e.g., how do you handle stress).
Answer: I'm currently the VP of Operations and IT for a non-traditional commercial lending bank. I don't really remember what questions they asked me - but it's important when you're getting someone to do this particular job (operations manager) that they can deal effectively with people (maybe you ask what was the largest group of people they previously managed, or if their current employees were to describe them with 3 words what would those 3 words be), that they're competent with the systems that you're using, or if you're using something special (like you've written your own software) that they're able to pick up on that quickly, and that they understand how to analyze financial data, both for budgeting purposes (i.e. reporting to the board of directors) and for management purposes (i.e. budgeting for employee attrition as well as future growth).

Though our brave soldiers counteracted the scenario loss of lives are unbearable. For some point of time I think Military should take over internal security operations in the country along with maintaining administration to avoid political exploitations in reordering the nation.
Answer: YES. The time has come for military rule in India. They have to rule atleast for 2-3 years and re-write the constitution.
