Question: What is the Salary Range For an Investment Representative? Been offered a job as Investment representative at CIBC, basic roll will be filing trades placed through their discount brokerage.
Have a Finance Degree, CSC and CPH so far.
This is in the Toronto area.
Can anyone tell me what the Salary Range for this job would tend to be? Preferably if you actually Know for sure what it is.
Answer: It is about 30,000 to start with as you are a fresher
Question: Can your investment representative be cheating you out of your profits? I invest in mutual funds with a group I will leave anonymous. I just started. I know that mutual funds are like stocks and any other investment there's a chance you can lose money. However, is it possible the representatives can be storing away any profits that you did make into their account and making it look like you lost money from the investment? If so, I might just go to saving money from the bear market point of view. Savings bonds, Certificate of Deposits, savings account, and any other sure profit investments rather than these unpredictable and shady investments strategies. What do you think? Make money the old fashioned way and just save it?
Answer: make sure your statements are coming directly from your mutual fund company, they should mail those to you on a regular basis. make sure when you make a depost into your account the check is made out directly to the mutual fund company, not to your broker or his company. make sure the address on your statements is your address. if you do these things, nearly impossible for him to be stealing money from you. investing inthe stock market and mutual funds is 10 time better than putting your money in the bank. you need to have some money in the bank for emergencies and spending money, but that is about it. invest as much as you can each and every month. if you are a good saver and patient, you will be a great investor.
Question: I want to work for Edward Jones in the UK as and investment representative? Please give me any tips you may have to get selected
What's the pay like?
Is the work really as hard as they say it is?
Answer: Having a degree in finance, economics, or math would be a good start. Previous experience in investing helps. Good speaking and writing skills are a plus, attention to detail is required (there is a typo in your post -- not a good sign).
The pay is mostly a draw against commissions generated, and yes, it is hard work.
Question: Should I pursue a career in sales, or should I try to become an investment/financial representative? I am a recent graduate with opportunities to start a career in either field, and I am having trouble deciding. What are the benefits of or drawbacks of these two careers? Who works more or makes more after 15 or 20 years? Thanks
Answer: I use to work at a sales company, as the admin assistant. I noticed that most of the sales reps. are rude, selfish and money hungry. They are all fake and only think of ways to lie to their customers so they can sell something. If you feel you are like that, then go for it! If you don't think you are then consider something else. Also I find that most of the sales reps were always stressed and looked like they were on drugs. Thank God I left that crazy place. An investment/financial rep seems as a much more stable career choice.
Question: Tupperware, how much is the investment to be a representative? considering selling it, not sure if I want the hassle
Answer: right now, we have 2 kits available, one is $79.99 plus tax and the other is $109.99. there is no hassle that i'm aware of, because even if you don't want to sell it you can still sign up and just use the discount for yourself. there is really nothing to lose. worst thing that happens if you give it a try is that you get hundreds of dollars in tupperware products for 75% off the list prices (the kit) and get 25-35% off any purchases you might make in the mean time. i think it's totally worth it, even if it's just for the discount on the product. you can email me if you want more info!
Question: Has anyone used Fidelity representatives for investment advice? I have a variety of Fidelity mutual funds and I am thinking of using one of their representatives to review and evaluate my portfolio. I hope to get some sound advice about how to invest over the long term for retirement. Has anyone used their services and what did you think of them. I realize they may push their own products, as most advisors do at the large firms, but I haven't found an independent advisor that I feel comfortable with.
Answer: Their portfolio evaluations seem to be very proper.A few months ago they offered a 'free' evaluate my portfolio. After looking at it they said they could offer nothing better than the allocations I already had. So I thanked them and did nothing. They never called back nor bugged me to buy anything. I'm very happy with them.
Question: how can i become an avon representative in india? how can i become an avon representative in india?what investment i need to make, can i be a seller if i am a student, how much amout do i need to sell etc.
whom do i need to contact?please help.
Answer: Email me your name, address and phone number. I will take the information to my district Manager and see what can be done. In the US, you only need to invest $10 to become an AVON representative. I will get any information that you need.
Question: Is a Financial Representative a good job? I currently received a job offer with Fidelity Investments as a Financial Representative... Could someone please give me some information on what this job entails, its ups and downs, the potential money involved, and whether or not I will end up bugging my friends for life insurance sales or not... Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Answer: I would talk to Learntosucceed.biz I found them great and have recommended them to others who were equally impressed. They also have a business blog at Careerkit.blogspot.com
Question: If you have bad credit, does this mean you can't become a financial representative? I am a college senior who has just been recently been accepted for a job contract with a financial investment company to become a financial representative. I am now filling out the paperwork for the job contract/background check - should I not provide information regarding my debt with a credit card I recently have (and recently settled in court)? Could I really be denied employment now just because I took out a credit card when I was 19, maxed it out and now paying it off? This is scaring me. If you are a financial representative or work in the industry, please let me know ASAP.
Answer: Some employers do base job offers on the credit of their potential employees. Frankly, finance might not be the best career choice for you right now if you have a track record of not managing your own finances very well.
Question: Is becoming an Avon Representative worth the time? I'm a full time student and I'm looking for a way to make some extra money. I was thinking of selling avon but is it a worthwhile investment ($10.00 to start)? How do representatives generally get paid? Also, I noticed that some representatives have websites that they sell from. I would rather do that than solely rely on selling in person.
Answer: Personally for me it has been worth while. I am able to make $250 every 2 weeks in addition to my full time income.
Not sure if you are aware but now you can sign up to become a representative online plus it is only $10 to get started and with all the support that is available out there you should be able to make a great income.
If you do happen to be interested and are ready to get started just go to my website and hit the Become a Representative link so that I could email you online application website.
Hope that helped answer your question!
