Question: I am considering becoming a blackjack dealer but wonder if I have what it takes to make it worth my investment The class costs about $350 and I wonder if I have the skills necessary to secure a job and make it worthy of my time and investment. What are the qualities needed to excel in this position?
Answer: It's actually pretty easy. The hardest part is controlling your temper. People are going to say all kinds of crap to you and many casino won't back you up and if you talk back to them you will get fired.
You can get a job right out of school with only blackjack at what we call a "break in joint". These are small casino that will take you with no experience. The pay will suck but as you get experience and learn more games you will be able to get better jobs.
After 3 to 5 years of dealing you could expect to get a job that pays 60k to 80k per year. This is based on Las Vegas.
Question: How come investment dealers don't teach their brokers that bear markets always follow? bull markets, during the brokers training period?
Why has no one in this industry never been acquainted with the concept of bear market?
Wouldn't that be helpful to teach brokers about bear markets so they could preserve their clients money during bad times in the market?
Answer: brokers are incompetent fools
they do not posess any talent or ability
other than being acquainted with people who have money in some cases
if they were capable of doing anything'
they woulod not be useless brokers
Question: Investment dealers operate in primary or secondary market? Investment dealers operate in primary or secondary market?
Answer: Both. investment bankers buy/sell IPO's that's the primary market. The secondary market is the exchange trading following that. NYSE trades are SECONDARY.
Broker/dealers are in both markets though primarily secondary.
Third market trades occur off exchange, directly between buyer and seller.
Question: what is an investment dealer?
Answer: Investment dealers provide investment banking services; that is, they act as intermediaries between those companies or governments which would like to raise money and those with money or capital to invest.
Investment dealers usually help firms buy initial stock or bond offerings from private companies or from Federal, State, and local governments and, in turn, sell them to investors for a potential profit. This service can be risky, especially when it involves a new company selling stock to the public for the first time.
Investment dealers must try to determine the value of the company on the basis of a number of factors, including projected growth and sales, and decide what price investors are willing to pay for the new stock.
Investment dealers also advise businesses on merger and acquisition strategies and may arrange for the transfer of ownership.
Question: what is the minimum requirement to buy and sell used car?without being a dealer to avoid massive investment?
Answer: When you buy the car, do not place your name on the title as the buyer. Just have the person who sells it to you fill out his/her section and leave the buyers section empty so that the person who buys it from you will put his/her info there. You name should not show up anywhere, therefore you don't have to become a car dealer.
Question: What does the IDA (Investment Dealers Association) do?
Answer: try their website
Question: if you purchase a vehicle from a dealer auction in NJ, are you protected by a lemon law ? Used car dealers in the NY-metro area charge a "fee" so non-dealers looking to pay dealer prices can accompany them to dealer only auctions. I'm a non-dealer that is looking to buy a car and am wondering if there is any protection on investment.
Answer: NO
Question: I can see a lot of land investment sites these days. What's land investment 'bout? Many websites, companies and/or dealers are promoting land as an investment opportunity. I am unaware of this investment option. Some of the site are available in Spain, Canada, US, UK, Turkey, etc. Is this investment worth?
Answer: if u invest in a land u can get a very good capital appreciation this is a very good option for investment compare to other alternatives of investment this will give u a very good return coz day by day prices of land is going up
Question: Do you think that those $650K minimum Wall Street bonuses paid to 1st yr. investment bankers was warranted? I continue to remember that in 2007 the Ferrari dealers could not keep enough Ferrari's in stock (especially red ones!) because so many of the of the investment bankers wanted to purchase this "toy" with a portion of their bonus checks.
Answer: In hind sight of course not, that said the investment houses that offered the best perks got the best talent and most brought their clients with them when they left from one to another. A culture of corruption that cannot be defended, yet that was and is the accepted model.
Question: What do you think of buying gold as an investment? And I don't mean buying bars in a bank, they're kind of expensive there. Does it make sense to buy a gold bar on ebay. And keep it. What's you opinion on future of US dollar and stock market anyway? Then just sell it to a dealer when you need cash?
Well, I don't intend to keep it for years. Just for several months and then sell it and buy a home.
What's the point of a money market fund? Saving accounts pay just as much.
Answer: Gold really glitters when inflation runs rampant.
Bank accounts are relatively safe, but your dollars may lose value due to inflation faster than they grow with interest.
Investing in stocks for the short term is a gamble. It the stock market crashes the day before you need your money to buy the house, you are screwed.
Gold prices go up and down, but unlike stocks, (and possibly the dollar) gold will never be worthless.
In the long run I thing gold prices will rise substantially, since our government seems bent on inflationary policies. However, over a short period of time the value of the gold you buy may be more or less than you paid.
