Question: what is the job market like in Montreal for Financial Analyst ? i'm an accountant in the UK, (CIMA) and i know i must be CMA qualified to work in Quebec, but i not sure how easy it will be o find a job. Is Montreal a bit enough city ? I speak intermediate french, but i am trying to improve
Answer: I currently work at an accounting firm who is constantly hiring new employees ( SNG Collins Barrow). You can look on Jobboom.com and workopolis.com, I have seen endless employers looking for CA certified accountants or someone who has their CA (canadian payroll) diploma. I do not see you having a problem finding a job in your field here in Quebec. If french is a slight problem then my solution would be to try looking in the downtown part of Montreal (there are many firms that have an english based environment and require you to have minimal french speaking skills). SNG is english based and located on Rene Levesque Quest in downtown Montreal.
