Question: Is fraud analyst a dead end job? I just went into a final round interview for a fraud analyst position at a Barclays. I don't see where this position can really go from the mid to even long term. The managers of the position have been working there for 2-3 years. Many of the people do not have college degrees. Does anyone know anything about this type of position? Thank you for any information.
Answer: Barclays PLC is ranked the 25th largest company in the world. If you are able to make the most of this job opportunity and build some skills, you could either be promoted or you can use those newly acquired skill elsewhere.
I'd stick with this job for at least 3 years if you are offered a job.
Question: What kind of course would I have to take to get in a fraud analyst career? I really like investigating fraud, and it really excites me.. what kind of course would I have to take at college or university that would qualify me to do it?
Answer: I would suggest network security, computer security. Anywhere around that line. any course which would aid in finding vulnerabilities in programs and systems and fixing those vulnerabilities. Especially in accounting programs.
Question: Career Change? Fraud dept? I currently work as a fraud analyst for a well known bank. I've been working in the fraud department for almost 3 years. I need a more challenging job, but I want to do something similar to what I do now. Anybody have any suggestions on where I should make my career move? Are there any similar jobs that pay more money?
Answer: If you like what you are doing, search for a similar job that pays more. Fraud prevention is a growing field. Write up a good resume and shop it around. They are always looking for good people.
Question: 22 years of bank experience need job in Dallas Texas? My father is experienced working in banks for 2 years in different country now he is in Dallas Texas and was seeking a credit card analyst ( risk management ) fraud analyst job in Dallas Texas please help !!!
We have been really trying hard but here they say they don't have any main office branch !
Answer: If your father has been in 'banking' for 22 years and built himself a good reputation, he should have no problem finding a good position.
There are people that I worked with 8 or 9 years ago who, if I called them up, would hire me and pay all expenses to relocate me if needed.
Maybe he should call some of his old contacts.
Hope it helps:)

Question: How much do entry level jobs with Nova Information Systems (Knoxville, TN) pay? I would like to know the pay scale for an entry level job with Nova Information Systems (Knoxville, TN) before I apply. The jobs I have seen are Data Entry, Voice Authorization Agent, Fraud/Risk Analyst, etc. I'm considering applying and would like to know beforehand if it would be worth my time and effort to do so.
Answer: Very, very tough to answer this question. There is no database you can look this up on. This information would be considered confidential to the company. And even if the company paid well, there's no guarantee that they will offer you a job, or even give you an interview.
You might be able to find somebody who worked there, but what they got paid may be quite different from what you would get paid. It all depends on experience, education and other factors.
I would advise you that if you are interested in the company, just apply. I assume you have a resume and can use the company's job site to send it in. If they call you back, you can always then ask about minimum pay. But remember, there are probably hundreds of other people who are also sending in their resumes. The job market is better than 4 years ago, but it is still tough.
Question: Should I accept the job offer in Dubai? I'm a fraud analyst and been with the no. 1 Telco in the phils for 6 yrs holding a good position. Now I had an offer of 6 mos job in a Telco in Dubai. The salary is very good. I will have to work 10yrs here in the Phils before I earn such. However, the risk is if the 6 mos contract is finish, I will be jobless then. Will it be easy for me to find a new job in Dubai? My forte is Fraud in Telco business. The position is rarely available. Should I leave Phils and take the risk? I'm a single parent and the savings I will get in Dubai will surely give my 7yrs old son a good future.
Answer: well what i have seen about dubai is that they try to make the country safe since everyone thinks its full of terrorists but they are actually humble people who try to make the best for their country. If nothing else is going for you and family is not a concern then i would say go for it since its basically living in a tropical kind of place.
