Answer: I'm sorry, but I fail to understand how this relates to protecting the troops? The Halliburton contract was/is logistical in nature. Of course every soldier, sailor, airman, or Marine would prefer hot chow over MREs, solid walls over a tent or the stars, bottled water over iodine/chlorine canteen water but they all understand those to be 'luxuries'. They are responsible for their own security and that of their units. And don't get started about the lack of armor. We had ever thing we needed and received everything we requested. We had strict policies in place that did not allow anyone or any vehicle out of the firm bases without adequate protection.

I claim that because I have replaced the white screens with white windows, I am in compliance with their rule of not changing the exterior of the building. Answer: This is a good one. You may have a leg to stand on but for them to back down you may have to give a copy of the rules to your attorney. He can better decipher (at your cost) what is your rights and their rights. Many times condo owners get bullied by the management for what "they say" must be done. If the color is so important to you I would consider consulting a legal professional. After reading your story I would say they are right by telling you it has to match the color.
