Question: How much would I make as a Sub-contract Administrator with Lockheed Martin? Im entry level but the pay grade is E4... Im not sure what the pay range is for this position and grade. Could someone help?
Answer: E4 is usually a military pay rate - you will probably just have to contact Lockheed Martin and find out (and find out if you are qualified).
Question: What is a typical day like for a contract administrator? What programs do you use the most?
Answer: it sucks
Question: Are Corporate Contract Administrator Positions Difficult? I work for a fortune 500 technology company and I deal with business partners and resellers, however our contract admin team is located in a different state and I'm considering moving there. I'm considering applying for an opening but I hope someone can explain the pros and cons of this role. Thanks for any insight you can offer!
Laredo.... Thank you kind sir!
Answer: It can be a high stress job and you must have a vast knowledge of the laws governing various aspects of each contract. If you write contracts, you must check and recheck to see that you have included the smallest details and ALL signatures verified. Sometimes contract enforcement can be a "headache" if a client defaults, fails to pay in a timely manner, or skips town. That's just the introduction. If other people are doing the job, YOU CAN DO IT TOO.
I wish you success.
Question: I'm interviewing today for a contract administrator position at Siemen's. Are they a good place to work? I've done research on them and they seem to be a stable company.
Answer: My job does business with them. They seem to be a pretty good company. Are you doing a video-conference interview? That's what my company does...videoconferences.
Question: Do contract administrators need good math skills? I applied for a contract administrator job with the Federal Government and got the job. Now, I wonder how good at math I'll need to be to do the job.
Answer: Not really. It is more like issuing contracts, knowing the Federal Regulations regarding contracting, dealing with suppliers/contractors.

This is a very very brief description of the job, it entails a whole lot more than is described here. If you don't know anything about contract management HOW DID YOU GET THIS JOB I AM JEALOUS.
Good Luck I hope they aren't a busy government office or you are had.
Question: can a contractor act as the contract administrator for a client of a construction project?
Answer: If it has been stated in the contract that the contractor is the admiistrator and if it he is listed on the permit, then YES he can be the administrator.
Question: I was a contract administrator for several months and now review contracts...? I just started and it's a lot different than being a contract administrator, though that is the title. Before, I wrote the contracts so I reviewed them before I submitted them for approval.
Now, I'm combing through the legalities and fine details to try to capture money. The problem is, I have never worked with this software so I'm still learning that and I'm learning some new lingo. I am being trained but the guy training me doesn't actually show me anything. He just whips through the process so quick I can't figure out what he's doing. Then, he tells my boss if I try it and make a mistake.
My boss wants my first contract review tomorrow and I don't know what I'm looking for or how to find it. I'm concerned about my job at this point. I study the contracts for hours to try to figure out what they're looking for but I can't. What else can I do?
Answer: see if things contradict the actual verbiage. Not sure what type of contracts you are working with. Find statements that deal with grey matter. Make sure there are clauses to protect your employer for the "if" factor. If I knew what kind of contracts I could help more... act like you wrote the contract and go from there.. people are so insecure about their jobs, they don't want to help anyone else.. don't get frustrated, been there , you just have to find a way to learn it. good luck
Question: How do I get from Contract Administration to Property Development? I am currently working for a construction management company and have been a contract administrator for the past 14 months on site. We have just completed a 13 story tower and an 11 story tower side by side. It was a $15M residential development. My goal in the next 3 - 5 years is to get into property development. I am giving myself 3 more years in construction and I am looking to change roles. What construction roles do you think would be most suitable?
Answer: I would recommend finding a construction company that also deals wth property development. There are quite a few out there - the developers want control over construction for new apartments/condos/buildings etc.
You don't say if you work in commercial or residential, but either way there's a lack of qualified professionals out there.
Just a word of personal advice - negotiate your salary/benefits etc from the start.
Question: Is "plan on a page" pure spin, introduced by an administrator who has been brought in on contract ?
Answer: probably, as long as it deals with individual performance management system
Question: Where can I find a Sr. Pharma Contracts Applications Administrator? I am trying to find a person with this background and it is nearly impossible. Would anyone be able to point me in a direction? The position is both technical (SQL | Oracle) but also business oriented in nature. This person must have worked specifically with Pharmaceutical Contracts e.g. Pricing Chargebacks for at leats 5 years. Are there any Names, Companies, Organizations or Associations I could try?
THANKS!
The position is in NJ.
Answer: What about NAPSR. They recruit and train specifically for the pharma fields - napsronline.org. They do a lot of pharma sales rep stuff, but you might be able to contact them and perhaps find out if they have connections to recruiters who might be able to reach the talent you're describing.
