I've applied to many compliance positions but I have never gotten a call back. Is there any chance that I can get a job in compliance or should I just give up?
Answer: Compliance officers constantly review their company's business processes to make sure that they are operating legitimately. They may also:

* investigate customer complaints and any suspected breaches of the rules
Entry is competitive. The main employers include banks, insurance companies, stockbrokers, firms of independent financial advisers, investment specialists and foreign exchange trading houses.
There are no set minimum qualifications for entry to this work. Individual employers tend to have their own entry requirements. Typically, they look for applicants with a legal, accountancy or auditing background with a relevant degree-level qualification. Many adults transfer into this work after gaining experience in financial sales, marketing or insurance underwriting.
I would recommend looking for an online training program. I also would recommend checking out ComplianceCrossing.com . It is a job search site dedicated to Compliance jobs. They have:

Start using the search engines to get more details about qualification. Once you do that you can rewrite your resume and get some interviews. Good Luck!

Answer: A compliance officer creates policies and procedures to be followed in a bank to make sure the customers are complying with policies. The two areas of concern today are the "Know your customer rules" and the anti-money laundering measures. Offshore banks are especially keen to follow such rules since they are in the spotlight so much. This website may prove helpful: http://www.panamalaw.org

Answer: It sounds to me like you're claiming benefits as a single person, but someone who lives near you has spotted your ex and reported you to the social services.
I've never claimed benefits so I'm not 100% about this, but I'm pretty sure that if you're claiming as a single person, you're not allowed to have someone staying over more than a certain number of times per week (3?). If your ex is there every day, it's easy for someone to think that you're living with him and that you're defrauding the system.
Question: how do i become a compliance officer? How do I get FAR, CAS and DFAR experience ? I already have a bachelor's degree, but not in finance. I work in the legal field as a paralegal, but I'm at the top of the ladder there.

Answer: I work in a financial institution but as admin staff. I know there are companies that give you the continuing education you need to get into the Financial compliance fields, such as Kaplan continuing education, Dearborne, you can try to contact the NASD or your state licensing comptroller. I know you need special state license to work in the very profitable job field you want, regardless of what US state you are in. Try www.nasd.com.
Good luck.

Answer: That depends on what the job description is, and what duties they will be required to do. If the person has good leadership abilities then they can still get the job done without having to know everything in detail.
Question: What questions are asked by a Compliance Officer to Quality Managers?

Answer: Here's a complete job description from Salary.com
Responsible for all aspects of an organization's compliance with financial policy and reporting regulations. Plans and directs programs, policies, and practices to ensure that all business unit's activities are in compliance with regulatory requirements. Tracks laws and regulations that might affect the organization's policies and implements necessary changes. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 15 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to top management.
As far as a work environment, it would be a normal business office environment. Most likely has own office, works out of the office, will probably often refer to legal books and legal research databases.
For a top corporate compliance officer, who manages compliance for a large public company salary range would be $125,000 to $250,000. I would think for a smaller private company its probably closer to $70,000 to $125,000.
