Question: What is a client service associate? I recieved an email from my school about UBS hiring for Client Service Associates. What does this job entail? What are the qualifications? Does it pay well?

Answer: It probably means you will be in some sort of non-sales customer service role. It likely involves answering inbound calls for various things like account balances, transactions, etc. Can't say for sure, each company defines its roles differently, but that would be my best guess. As for pay, I wouldn't expect much, but again, you need to know the roles of the job.

Question: What is the slowest modem speed (Baud rate) that a terminal service client can use to connect? I am trying to use a remote desktop, Microsoft terminal service client over a dial up connection. I can do it with a 56K modem and connect at 48K using a land line to a dial up Internet service.. Can this be done using a data link running over a satellite phone....baud rate could hardly be at 14.4K.

Answer: With the current version of the remote desktop client, you need to have a connection speed on no less than what a V-34 modem or about a minimum speed of 28K. With a typical data kit for a satellite phone, the best you are going to do is 14.4K, which is not nearly enough to push a R.D.C. though..it will take forever for web pages even to load; your desktop client will time out before it even has a chance to load.

Answer: "client service for netware provides an NT workstation with basic file and printer connectivity to Netware. It supports both Bindery and NDS." Its most likely wont have any effect on your system really, unless you have a network setup with widnows NT connected to several computers then you could have a problem. Answer: I'm assuming that you are using WinXP Pro. Open up Control Panel and go into Network Connections. Right-click on the Local Area Connection and choose Properties. Client Service for Netware should be one of the items listed in the box on the General tab. Just highlight it and click the uninstall button and then reboot.

Answer: Not too much nowadays. But, if they pay you competitively, then expect to work like a dog. Generally speaking, an entry-level Client Service Associate in ML may be paid from $40k-$50k (more or less) annually depending on where the branch is.

Answer: First confirm the receipt of the proposal and ask when Shall I contact you again? Do according to what your client says OR if he doesn't say anything, according to me, you should call back again within 3 days. If you don't get any specific response then, make a visit to clients office with appointment and explain why you need the confirmation because of stock or prices may increase in next few days. Still you do not get any confirmation, send another letter after a week. Still you do not get any response then, better to concentrate on another client.
