Also, are the job prospects and salary for a BSA good??
Any advice would be nice, please help me out guys!
Answer: Business systems analysis usually are Information System majors. Info Sys is the only technological business major usually offered. Yes, businesses (especially tech companies) are looking of analyst because they need someone who serves as a mediator between the tech guys( programmers and engineers ) and the business guys (marketers, finance, project managers) so they are in high demand. The salary i believe is roughly in that 50-70k range depending on where you are working but i am not entirely sure.

Answer: You'll prepare just as you would for any job interview. Dress properly; learn something about the company you're applying to; bring clean copies of your resume; have your personal, job history and education history data with you in case they ask you to complete an application. Think of a couple of questions you can ask about the company or the job so you'll look engaged and interested.

Bz analyst-> only gets to business aspect how the system will be carried out for business flow, bzness rules are integrated in system

Hospitals.
Question: TIAA CREF business/systems analyst internship interview? I have a 30 min phone interview for an systems analyst internship..any recommendations or tips on how to amaze them??..any tips, inputs, or comments will help..thanksss
Answer: TIAA CREF is a conservative retirement investment management house, mainly for public employees: http://www.tiaa-cref.org/
Your best strategy may not be to try to amaze them per se, but to deliver an impression of yourself that is honest, hard working, and quietly confident. You should emphasize how much you enjoy working with others, and earning responsibility by demonstrating accomplishments. If the interview will cover your technical skills, be prepared with examples of these - how you programmed a Monte Carlo risk simulation in Java, why you elected to use the wamp platform and JavaScript as your toolkit for your senior project, instead of Ruby on Rails. Be frank and forthcoming if you don't know the answer to something; nothing sounds worse to a technical manager than someone who is obviously trying to bullshit their way into the organization.
If you've failed at something, and came away with a lessons learned analysis that was valuable, be ready with that story too. And if you're presented with logic test questions about tribesmen with terrible predilictions on South Sea islands, take a deliberate approach, ask questions in return, and explain your reasoning for answers that you give. Even if you don't get the answers right, being able to demonstrate a reasonable approach to the problem counts for something.
Question: If I were a business systems analyst...? ...What type of HDD would i want to work with?
Business systems analysts are the people that make networks or write programs for retail stores that need it for business purposes. Such as the person who set up the computer holding the number of stocks at Wal-mart, or the person who set up the networks connecting the cashier computers to the main frame at A&P etc...
to re ask the question.. what kind of a hard drive would business system analysts use in their job.
Answer: The variety of hard drives to do this type of job are all te types. One therefore to be acquainted with all the types to cope with the job.
However, best of luck.
Question: Can a good telecom Business/System Analyst have no NMS (Network Management Systems) knowledge whatsoever?
Answer: Yes, I really think so. Specially if the analyst background is more turned into marketing or something like this.
Question: Is Business Analyst similar to Systems Analyst? I am being put forward for a 'Business Analyst /Data Analyst role'. I need to rejig my cv (or bits of it) to fit the Business Analyst terminology and buzz words.
I think of myself as an analyst programmer, and my cv is written along those lines. But my roles have always included systems analysis - and Wikipedia says that systems analyst is an alternative title for the business analyst role.
What are appropriate phrases -or buzzwords- for a Business Analyst cv -that a systems analyst might use?
Answer: Hello,
I am a business analyst/project manager. In my analyst role I would be required to know the major systems that the company utilizes along with the business processes that are used throughout the company. You should be able to do the basic job functions:
Ability to review raw data
System flows
process flows
Scope documents
Business Requirements
System Requirements
ROI (return on investment)
Cost basis analysis
root cause analyis
Project Schedule including task estimates and sub task dependencies
Risk identification and mitigation
A business analyst leads teams through influence, most of the time they are put in charge of projects- but are not the owner of the tasks to complete a project. They are there to ensure that members of the project team complete what they said they would do/needed to do.
If you are currently doing system analyst work- you should be able to convert that knowledge over easily. There are tons of buzz words- some I have included above, if i can be of any help feel free to e-mail me.
Best of luck!!
Question: Dental Hygiene or Business System Analyst? When it comes to salary, nature of works, job opportunity/better employment. Which one is better, Dental hygiene or Business System Analyst? They are very different programs but i like them both. Just coudn't decide.
Answer: Do you want to wear a gown and gloves all day and work on people? OR... do you want to have more freedom and work with statistics and business related things? I'd choose Business.
