Question: How can I find accounting and/or analyst jobs that I can work from home? I have worked as a accounting and financial analyst for over 15 years. I'm open to work from home projects that I can utilize my skills and professional experience.
Answer: Its very difficult to find genuine work from home jobs online. Theres lots of competition and you'll always find people who'll try to take advantage and scam you.
I'd recommend doing a search of previous best answers on yahoo.

Question: How can I get into the accounting/finance field at an entry level? Financial analyst? I'm 24, one year out of college. I got a bachelor's degree in Marketing, which is basically a piece of crap. I've been in sales now for a year, and I hate it. I'm decent at it, and make decent money, but it doesn't suit my personality.
I'd like to get in as a financial analyst somewhere, or some sort of entry level accounting. I looked for openings within my company, without any luck. Does anybody have any advice/experience they'd like to share?
Answer: You don't need a CPA to be a financial analyst, but a degree in Accounting would help. An MBA would be your best bet. But you could still parley a marketing major into this career field because many market analysts do financial work and vice versa. So within your company look for a way to work on the data/financial side of marketing. Tell them up front what you want. If they hold this against you, you're better off knowing now. If looking at a new company, same strategy.
If you have 9-12 accounting credits, you might try an entry level position but the industry type might matter. Again, use your marketing background to market yourself.
Question: how can i get an intership in accounting or financial analyst? I will graduate this may with a BS in accounting and economics, and a minor in finance
Answer: I dont kno much abt internships, But this is wat we do in India. We create a good cv with a covering letter explaining why we would like to work with the finance manager or alike and wat kinda project we are looking forward to do under his guidence.
Once u write something good abt the org and the post he is in and taht how it wil add value to ur career building etc i m sure he will help u out for the rest.
Question: Free financial analyst and accounting software ? Can you give me a link to free financial analyst and accounting software thats good as well?
Answer: There are no free programs that I am aware of. Sorry!
Question: Is it allright for a financial analyst not understand accounting? 10 pts. for good or detailed answer.
Answer: Sure, if they want to be a financial analyst for a short period of time.
I think it's imperative that a financial analyst understands accounting. Day in and day out, they are looking at financial statements and analyzing trends to come up with future forecasts. If the analyst doesn't understand accounting methods, they won't understand items on the income statement or cash flow statement. The person may be able to calculate the ratios based on what is on the statements but they need to know how those numbers came about.

Question: Do you need a degree in Accounting to be a financial analyst or does a degree in Finance work also? Or does it depend?
Answer: It depends on what you mean by Financial Analyst.
If you mean Financial Analyst for Investment and Finance. Meaning you are interested in working in a stock brokerage firm, investment firm etc etc. You don't need a degree in Accounting. Typically a degree in Finance is preferred.
However, if your goal is to become a designated accountant; and want to be a Financial Analyst (senior accountant) working within a company (manufacturing, retail, services), then an accounting degree would be preferred.
Hope this helps. Good luck
Question: Where is a better place to start a career public accounting or corporate financial analyst?
Answer: Accounting. Because of increasing regulations they have more job security. Analyst jobs are at the mercy of the market. Also as an accountant you will gain a better understanding of financial statements and the basis for financial analysis.
Question: The way to be an excellent account analyst in market research company? Would you like to share with me some experiences? Thanks so much.
Answer: Start as an entry level analyst. You should have good math and language ability, as well as stong computer skills. A background in statistics and experience with statistical software is helpful.
Question: If pursuing a career as a credit analyst, do you major in banking, accounting or finance? I was looking but I'm not sure. I'm guessing its mostly between banking and finance.
Answer: Any one of the 3 would be good, but finance would be your best option. But always check with your college advisor to see what the best route is for YOU.
Question: An excellent account analyst in market research company. What knowledges and skills would I should have?
Answer: You should know the basic methods of collecting market research data and when to use them. Good verbal and written communication skills are important (reread your question and think about how you could improve it). Some statistical knowledge would help also.
Good computer skills in Word, Excel and Powerpoint are a necessity. Experience using statistical software like SPSS or SAS is a plus.
