Question: what is the best way to invest in the gasoline market like the president and vice president does? Mutual Funds
Answer: Buy stock in oil companies. I don't recommend it. What you are hearing about war for oil is political propoganda. When you invest, go long, in established companies. Dollar cost average, which means put the same amount of money every month in the stock no matter if it goes up or down. When it goes down, you are buying more shares with your money. When it goes up, you are making money. Do not look at the papers to see how it is doing, except maybe once a year.
Question: Do we want a vice president who does not know history nor the facts? Biden said this recently:
“When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn’t just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed. He said, ‘Look, here’s what happened,”‘ Barack Obama’s running mate recently told the “CBS Evening News.”
Yeah. Problem is, Roosevelt was not president and we did not have TV for 20 more years.
Do we want someone so naive or unintelligent to be our vice pres?
Answer: It amazes me the gaffs that Obama & Biden have made just since the Democratic convention - and the media have given them a pass. This after hounding Dan Quayle for knowing that there's an 'e' in the plural of potato... ridiculing GWBush for his mannerisms, pronunciation & colloquialisms... but Obama gets a pass on 57 states, inability to pronounce ' penn state nittney lions' [yeah, i'm sure my spelling's off, but I'm NOT running for P or VP]. It's ridiculous.
Please, God, give us men who have an agenda greater than their pocket books and egos.
Question: Do you think Bruce Springsteen would make a martketable Vice President? yes Neo-Cons, your side of the presidential race is a Market that sells politics for profit.
Answer: Why would Bruce even want to be VP? He's got his perfect day job.
Remember, the emphasis in "Neo-Cons" is on the Cons (as in con man)
Don't be stupid, Margaret..
Question: Sports Marketing Plan? I'm enrolled in a Sports Marketing class as an elective. The final project is pretending we're the vice president the marketing department of a professional sports team, and create a marketing plan.
He says add 'promotion, publicity, ads' on it, but I really don't know why these things would go on a marketing plan.
Actually, I have no idea what goes on a marketing plan.
Can anyone tell me or can anyone get a sample marketing plan that I can look at?
Answer: Here's a quick rundown of a basic marketing plan:
STEP 1: Situation Analysis
who you are, who is your competition, etc.
STEP 2: Business Goals
how much revenue to raise, etc.
STEP 3: Marketing Goals
how many interviews you'll get, PR goals, etc.
STEP 4: Target Audiences
who is your customer, what you know about them
STEP 5: Key Messages
what's the story behind your product that you want to convey to the media and to your customers
STEP 6: Key Marketing/PR Initiatives
how you market, i.e., your website, advertising, promotional giveaways, billboards, etc.
STEP 7: Measurement
measuring your success, i.e., fans in the seats, merchandise sold, etc.
Hope that helps.
Dan
Question: What should my job title be? I work for a really small business (less than 10 employees) and I am right under the CEO.
I handle advertising, marketing, SEO, PPC, sales, customer service, logistics, PR, and more.
This all adds up to the capability of giving myself a really cool title. But I don't want to sound too cocky [I am under 25].
What title should I put on my business card?
I am thinking:
Manager of marketing
Vice President of marketing
Chief of sales and marketing
or something along those lines.
Answer: chief gofer.
