Well here's the situation: I am a senior in high school, and for the second consecutive year, I am treasurer of a certain club (AVID Committee). The people who hold the positions in the club were not voted into that position, they themselves took the title. Since this one girl right out said that she wanted to be president, instead of opting for vice –president, I took the position of treasurer because I am good with money, and for me it was the lesser of the two evils. Then these two guys were both co-vps, and the girls who wanted to be secretary were just that. In the beginning of the club I mentioned to the class the sales that were happening for the fundraiser that we wanted to hold, which was selling root beer floats. For some reason I was buying all the root beer (with no car mind you) and most of the supplies. When we were in the actual class of AVID, our teacher would always tell the class that I would summarize what happened at the meetings and what supplies we needed. I would be the one who would go to every person and ask them if they could sell one day during the week for not only that fundraiser, but the other one as well. At the time I was fulfilling much more than my treasurer duties. I spoke to our teacher about this on more than one occasion, especially before our junior year ended, and she said that we should and would hold an official election, and the people who wanted whatever position would have to write a speech about why they wanted the position and why they would feel better for that position. It’s senior year now and that hasn’t happened. I’ve even spoken to her about that with two friends of mine, Joe and Andrew, and they felt since last year that I was more of a pres than the current one was. And they wanted to impeach Matt, the vp because he didn’t do anything for that position. Even D, the co-prez told me that he thought I was the leader with all the work that I did last year, and I never knew he felt that way. The only problem is, the pres (I’ll call her Ana) has the type of personality that makes people intimidated, so that is why I think no one really is confident in bringing this into the meeting type setting. One of the more messed up things is that Ana and Matt wrote the construction that all clubs need to get in, and Joe had two positions in the club (inventory person and publicity person) and they didn’t include him in that. And they put D as a “representative� instead of co-prez. We never fundraised during the summer, which we should have done, and I’ve had so many ideas that I’ve said but sometimes I feel as if it’s falling on deaf ears. I don’t know, it’s just annoying, and spending my time at the meetings every Friday and barely getting what I feel we need to accomplished bothering me when I feel that there is so much we need to do, but people are so slow or not budging. What should be done?

Answer: Stop doing any jobs that don't belong to you. As treasurer, your job is to keep track of the money. All other jobs fall to the other officers. When you have your next meeting, demand to know why the people responsible for these jobs did not get them done. As long as you keep doing other people's work, they will not be held accountable, because, after all, their jobs are getting done.

Question: How Am I To Do This? I'm an Executive Assistant to the CEO for a construction company. The Vice President just left out of my office, and asked me to talk to a few of our field workers, (minority). He's having a problem with there work ethics, they're arriving late to job sites and there work is not being completed correctly. He would like for me to talk to them about this situation. Answer: First of all, get some backbone, don't let he VP dump his job on you. Talk to each employee one by one, ask each one why they are late, and handle it on an individual basis.

Spiro is now under a three year probation and he is being ordered by the state of Maryland to repay more than $248,000 he took in Bribes while in office. Spiro Agnew will definitely be a Vice President no one will soon forget.

Question: filing taxes for a business no longer up and running? my husband opened up a construction business with his brother back in 2006. Now that same year his brother (who was the President of the com) left and abandoned the business. My husband is the vice president and didnt continue with the business, therefore no money was made. No my question is, does he still have to file taxes for that company even though it didnt go anywhere? We didnt file last year for it and he received a letter from the IRS that he owed $80. Answer: There sure is a war going on at the border, no doubt about that! The US Border Patrol lacks the resources and manpower to fight it. 1-2 trillion dollars will be spent on the war in Iraq and still, our borders are unsecure and Bin Laden is making video for Al Jazeera. Our country is not in the business of nation rebuilding. Do the job and leave. Fences worked for Germany, China and Israel, why not us? He was also a signatory to the Project For A New American century document that called for invading Iraq as part of implementing a brutal world empire in 1998. He was later a foreign policy advisor to George W. Bush. As to be expected, Zoellick is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commission. Question: Chances at Carnegie Mellon, UC Berkeley, or Barnard? I'm in my junior year right now and if all goes well with my classes this year, my gpa should be a 3.79 unweighted and 4.58 weighted. I haven't taken the SATs yet but recieved a 189 on my last psat and hope to raise to over a 2000 for the SAT. I have been really interested in going into architecture and have made a couple selections as to what kinds of schools i'm looking for. Cornell, Carnegie Mellon, Cooper Union, Barnard, USC and UC Berkeley are some of my top choices. Do I have a chance? Answer: you really need to get those sats up to 2000, but as of now i think you have a cnace at usc, barnard, berkeley, and carnegie mellon. Cooper Union probalay not becasue it is IMPOSSIBLE to get into Cooper Union. However, as long as you keep up your great gpa and take a nice amount of honors and aps and get that high sat score you certainly have a good chance at the rest
