Question: What is the starting pay for an HSBC Branch Manager? I wanted to apply for a position with HSBC, but I am not sure that they pay decent for a Branch Manager. I have over 10 Years of mortgage experience as a Sales Manager, I just don't want my income to drop to entry level pay. I know most give you a base plus commission, but does anyone know the starting base in Missouri?

Answer: You are exactly right. I would not want anyone to run along side of me for the biggest job in the entire American Continent, even if they have been the Govenor for only one year. Right on and if this would happen , it would mean only one thing, that being the head of a Multi-Billion Dollar Corporation, and appoint someone like you mention, would show the entire Corporation, that as the head, I am not playing with a full deck of cards. Question: How does someone that has had lots of banking experience but no mngt experience start as a branch manager? I have had a couple years teller experience and assistant head teller experience, I have had about 2 1/2 years of customer service experience and loan officer experience, and I have my insurance licenses and I'm a notary. I have coached and helped fellow employees but most Branch Manager positions require at least two years direct mngt. How do I get that If I can't find an entry level? Answer: If they don't, someone at the bank should. It is pretty common for a bank to offer this service. If not, any real estate escrow company will have a notary on staff, just call ahead and ask them for the service.

Answer: I used to be a manager for Enterprise. It all really depends on the branch size and profit margins. I actually made more at a smaller branch, b/c our profit per vehicle was huge, and made less at a huge branch b/c we didnt make as much per car. It all depends then.....at my small branch i made about 75k and at the big place i made close to 70k....but its all commissioned based for the most part

Answer: thats not who you talk to. Look, talk to your S1 and if they cant answer you then go to your BN S1. Im the S1 for my unit and if you dont have orders 2 months out then theres a HUGE problem. Wow, this just kinda blows my mind. But get to your S1 asap and ask where your stuff is... thats what i would do.

Answer: A bank branch manager is generally not considered an "entry level" position. Unless a person has prior experience in the banking industry, they would not be hired in for the first time in a branch manager position. A rough pay range would be $40,000 - 60,000 per year. Banking jobs are generally not very lucrative until you get to very senior positions in large regional or national banks.
