Question: In the corporate world, is an Assistant Vice-President considered to be an "Executive" of the company? Or would this be considered a Senior Manager? Obviously any sort of Manager is considered a "Manager" or "Senior Manager", an Executive Vice-President is an "Executive", but then what is the classification of a VP or an AVP?
Answer: She would be an Executive. YOu are correct that many times this is just a fancy title for a manager..
Question: Can an Assistant Vice President of a bank? look at bank account information of other banking institutions customer's? Can they even get into anything personal of another bank's customers?
Answer: No. They wouldn't have any access to any information outside of their own bank. Not directly at least.
Only way I can see that happening is if they knew someone at another bank who inappropriately (and probably illegally) shared private information.
A loan officer can only get information from another bank if you have given them a written, signed authorization form that comes with all mortgage applications. That's certainly a common practice to verify bank accounts and employment records directly.
But without your signed authorization, any sharing of information would be an illegal breach of your privacy.
Question: in english, what is the title of the assistant / vice / deputy of a director / president of a high school? for example you use Vice President for a particular post, Deputy Director for another, Assistant Manager for one other, etc. I'm asking for the official title of the second man in a high school. Thanks
Answer: thats easy... first there is the Principal and then there is the Vice Principal...
hope this helped :))
Question: Why don 't we have an Assistant President instead of a vice president?
Answer: Vice: An officer next in rank to a president and usually empowered to serve as president in that officer's absence or disability.
Assistant (to assist): to give usually supplementary support or aid.
I'd say Vice is one step higher than assistant. That's the best I got out of it.
Question: you are secretary to the vice president of your firm she has administrative assistant who constantly how would? you are secretary to the vice president of your firm she has administrative assistant who constantly give you tittle assignment that you do not feel are your responsiblity how would you handle the situation?
Answer: If you are the secretary to the vice president, wouldn't you be the administrative assistants subordinate? If not, then address this issue with the vice president. If you are under the administrative assistant, then you can either get a list of your job duties from HR, talk to her in a very professional manner and tell her you have priorities that supersede her instructions, or you can be an even bigger person and just do them. A lot of times in a business office the last thing a higher up wants to hear is "it's not my job". If you have someone you can delegate these smaller things to, then do that. But I truly do not suggest stating "that's not my job". If it is something that is getting in the way of more mandatory things, or they are not time manageable, then you should address this initially with the first person above you. If that happens to be the administrative assistant, then be very careful. But initially, I would just ask for a list of duties from HR to MAKE SURE that there isn't a clause that represents misc duties. Good luck and I hope I helped sweetie.
Question: Interview with vice president of the company for the benefits assistant position. I have 5 years of experience in Human resources and I have applied for benefits assistant postion. I have already cleared first 2 rounds and 3rd round of interivew is with vice president of the company on august 6th. Can you please give me some tips which will help me to clear this round as I really dont want to screw up. This job will enhance my career. Its a do or die situation. Any suggestions regarding the question I shall expect for such a position from the vice president of the company.
Thanks
Answer: the previous interviewers probably had the job-related questions and this person is just the last stop-they need to make sure he/she OKs you-they obviously are highly considering you. In my experince, this person will want more general info-they will want to know about you and what you bring to the firm from a broader perspective. Also keep in mind that senior level people like this look for potential in a person. They are not looking just to fill a spot, but to enhance the organization and build it's intellecual base. Best of Luck!
Question: Should I ask my manager who is Executive Vice President to put in a good word for regarding an internal job? Hey guys and gals,
I've been working for a company for 2.5 years as an Admin Assistant for the Executive Vice President of my company. There is a position available for another Admin Asst position which pays maybe 3-5k more than my position now. Should I ask him to put in a good word for me or tell him that I have applied for the position because I am seeking more responsible and there is a pay increase? Thanks!
Answer: Tell him you have applied for the position. Then ask if the VP would consider writing you a letter of recommendation. That letter with carry more weight than his just mentioning it to the HR person. Plus it shows you value your boss's opinion.
Question: how does the ruling that the president can't remove the vice president from office? help prevent the president from making the vice president a true assistant?
Answer: The Vice President "serves at the pleasure of the President" google it. He can get rid of him.
Question: If the president cannot remove his vice president from office....? how does this help prevent him from making the vice president his "true assistant?"
Answer: He cannot risk involving the VP in anything crucial 'cos he he's stuck with it if he proves to be a disaster. Let's all sing along: "O, bummer, 'jes biden my time".
Question: Will Vice President Dick Cheney be called to testify in the CIA outing case, by the special prosecutor? Do you think Cheny will be loyal to his former cheif of staff, national security advisor, and long time crony Scooter Libby, or do you think he will let him go down?
I.Lewis "Scooter" Libby also worked as Assistant to
President George W. Bush before he was indicted by a grand jury for obstruction of justice, perjury, and
making false statements, in the CIA operative, Valarie Plame Wilson case, "outed" by columinist Robert Novak.
Answer: Yes I do and I hope he implicates George Bush as Libby would not be stupid enough to do it on his own. Bush would! That's a no brainer.
How many before Libby have fallen on their sword for Bush?
