Question: Which is better: Msc petroleum engineering at Heriot watt university or Msc process systems engineering at CU?
Answer: mal.nabanita is a crook... big fraud. Look at all his/her answers. This person seems to be from India. He/She would visit a particular section and then give the same answer to each question: "www.google.com"
Whenever this person visitis the category of Indian tourism the answer to each question is either:
"www.indiatourism.com" or "www.incredibleindia.com"
For answers to the questions in sub-categories in India, the answer would be:
“www.<state>tourism.com” or "www.indiarail.com" etc
This is just the ridiculous way of earning points and violates the yahoo community rules and very irritating too. I have ereported this to yahoo but it seems they are more worried about being takenover by Microsoft.
Please people, let’s all report this person mal.nabanita to yahoo so he/she can be blocked and prevented from ruining this community.
Question: What is the difference between system engineering process and system development process?
Answer: Systems Engineering process is "cradle to grave". It includes sustainment efforts such as maintenance, logistics, sparing, vanishing vendor, lifecycle cost management, outage tracking, etc. Systems Development process is concerned with getting the product out the door.
Question: what do i need to process my carrer as a microsoft certified system engineer? i am a college graduate (BA) and let me tell you that i dont have any formal certificate in any computer course up till now. in this case, what is the minimum requirement for me to follow my dream( microsoft certified system engineers), how tough is it? if you have any other idea beside this,it is welcome as well. thank you.
Answer: For you to become an MCSE, you need to take the test which will certify you.
You may prepare for this test in any number of ways: Self-study, learning from "friends-in-the-know", or by enrolling in a class.
Earning your MCSE is sort of like taking a test for a Series 7 or Series 6 license- you don't have to go to college to take the test, nor do you have to sign up for classes. You merely take the exam.
That said, the MCSE exam isn't a walk in the park.
Don't buy into the hype that the "starting salary for an MCSE is over $60,000"- remember that is an average figure, and it's not the easiest thing in the world to pass the test and it's not the easiest thing to find employment with a good company.
Most of my friends who have their MCSEs ended up hating the company they worked for or they ended up becoming bored with the jobs they could find and went back to school to learn other computer related topics.

Question: how does a door handle work in terms of input process output? i need to know how a door handle works in terms of input process and output for systems engineering assignment
Answer: well I think you need to be more specific. the inputs are all the labor and cost that go into making door handles and the output is the door handle
Question: What is "deadband" in process control engineering? I have little confusion with this term. This term comes under both measurement system and process control system. Please explain me in detail for the PROCESS CONTROL SYSTEM
Answer: A bunch of hippies in tye-dye shirts playing extra-long jams...
Actually, it's a control zone where no action is taken. It prevents a control system from hunting endlessly back and forth. Think of it as a kind of windowing function. It differs from hysteresis in that there is no control output in the deadband.
For example, gears with play in them have a mechanical deadband - slack (ahem) if you will - that must be overcome when changing direction. This isn't the same thing as hysteretic snap action.
An electronic version would be a PNP-NPN push-pull driver pair with a dead band inserted to prevent both of them being turned on at the same time (second link).

Question: Embedded Systems Engineering Courses? I want to work with embedded systems when I graduate, which of these courses should i be looking to take?
Digital Signal Processing
Integrated Circuit Engineering
Principles of Automatic Control
Operating Systems Concept and Design
Microdevices and Micromachining Technology
Control Engineering
Robotics: Algorithm and Control
Computer Systems Design
Multimedia Systems
Computer Algorithms
VLSI Design
Advanced Computer Architecture
or any other courses you can suggest....
Thanks a lot.
Answer: Robotics
Operating Systems
Advanced computer arch
Computer algorithms
Suggested:
Assembly programming
As far as other courses, focus on computer architecture, as working with embedded systems is all about squeezing as much performance from the fewest resources. To do this, you need a thorough understanding of the hardware you'll be using.
Question: Embedded Systems Engineering Courses? best answer gets 10 points !!!? I want to work with embedded systems when I graduate, which of these courses should i be looking to take?
Digital Signal Processing
Integrated Circuit Engineering
Principles of Automatic Control
Operating Systems Concept and Design
Microdevices and Micromachining Technology
Control Engineering
Robotics: Algorithm and Control
Computer Systems Design
Multimedia Systems
Computer Algorithms
VLSI Design
Advanced Computer Architecture
or any other courses you can suggest....
Thanks a lot.
............
um could someone else answer too..:)
Answer: I would start with basic Electronics and Computer Theory. Then you might want to consider
Computer Systems Design since embedded systems are computer systems.
Control Engineering and Principles of Automatic Control as most embedded systems involve some sort of control loop.
Many Embedded systems also involve Computer Algorithms, Digital Signal Processing or Robotics Algorithms and Control
You're probably not going to need Integrated Circuit Engineering, Operating Systems Concept andDesign,
Microdevices and Micromachining Technology, Multimedia Systems, VLSI Design or Advanced Computer Architecture
