Question: Looking to work as PIPING ENGINEER for Saudi ARAMCO? What is the best way to investigate opportunities with Saudi ARAMCO as a seasoned Piping Engineer?
I have many skills and abilities from over 18 years of experience working for refineries and industrial processing plants. I have never worked for Aramco but I understand that someone with my skills can earn a substantial income. I am looking to get the most benefit for my services while still engaging in challenging professional work.
I have done the obvious, looked at Aramco's website and there are many positions availalble. I am looking to get the inside "scoop" on what would be the best job for me.
I would greatly appreciate any insight or direction on how to approach this working arrangement. I would also be indebted to anyone that can help me avoid common pitfalls when making this kind of an overseas transition.
Thank you.
Answer: try asking here, someone might give you an answer
Question: Piping Stress Engineer vs. Piping Engineer - What are the differences? What are the different resonsabilities of those two kinds of engineers in oil and gas industry?
Answer: Fluids flow through a pipe and knowing the velocity, distance and pump characteristics one can calculate how much fluid can be moved over time from one point to another. A piping engineer might have this responsibility. The Stresses produced on the piping using a fluid flow analysis program might be the functions of a Piping Stress Engineering. In actuality, these titles could be interchanged depending on how engineering firms or companies want to define the job responsibility.
Question: In piping, why is buried stainless steel pipes needs to be coated? Any Piping engineer who can help me onthis?
Answer: Stainless steel is not impervious to all chemicals. Some like chlorides can under the right conditions cause cracking of the stainless.
Also some stainless steels are more resistant to corrosion than other. As an example 410 stainless is less resistant than 316
Question: What are the duties and skills of Piping Engineer? From whre one can get more information?
Answer: Piping engineer has to provide all neccesary informations to the personell that assemble the pipelines, i.e. pressure and temperature of fluid in those pipes, materials of the pipes, thermical dillatations of pipeline, according to it's dimensions, geometry, operating parameters, pressure drops in pipeline, types of the pumps to be used for particular pipeline and fluid etc. Also, Piping engineer is ussualy in charge of technical documentation, assembly, all works (ground works, civil engineering works - concerning the piping part, insulation works, laying the pipes etc.), commisioning, but also of reparations, overhauling, reconstructions and all other works about pipelines.
The special part of piping engineer's field of work is constructions of the pipes themselves, and control of pipes production.
There is a lot of literature, I myself use "Perry's chemical engineers' handbook" 7th edition, McGraw-Hill, 1997. There are also other books of this kind from this editor, but also from other editors.
Question: what are consultancies in texas for piping engineering.how can i apply for them? I am a piping engineer ,i would like to work as a part tome job person in consultancies.
Answer: I don't know any specific companies, but here are a few things I would do:
1. Do an Internet search for "piping engineer" and "association." If there is an Association of Piping Engineers, they may have a list of member companies. Many times, Association's keep their membership lists private, but you can find out what the list or directory is called. Then ...
2. Contact the largest local library in your area. Depending where you live, your library may have 24/7 online email or chat access to a librarian. You can find out if your local library has the directory available. Sometimes you can ask them directly (without doing an Internet search first), how you would locate piping engineering companies in Texas. You may have to be a member of the library in order to access their services.
3. How long have you been out of school? If you're a recent graduate, your school may have job search assistance for graduates. If you've been out of school for awhile, you may still be able to contact a faculty member or perhaps the Alumni Association for referrals. Even though your school may not be in Texas, engineers get hired all over the world.
4. Contact the Business Development department for the state of Texas. It may have a different name, but there's usually a state government office specializing in promoting business in the state. They probably won't be able to give you specific information but they may be able to refer you to directories, lists, organizations, or other resources.
Good luck to you.
Question: what are the career prospects of a piping engineer?
Answer: Piping has many good job opportunities all over the world. Chemical process plants, Refineries, Power Plants use a lot of piping and engineering companies like Bechtel, Fluor, J Ray McDermott are always on the lookout for good mechanical engineers to become piping engineers.
A piping engineer requires common sense, good knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials, engineering fundamentals and patience to be successful.
You have to deal with stress analysis, layout design, welding, material selection, vendor drawing reviews, CAD etc. on a daily basis. Good luck!!!
Question: Which career option will be better, Piping Design Engineer or Marine Engineer?
Please explain me about the opportunities in future and the money involved.
Please don't make any statement about the life at Ship.
Answer: I don't know, we hire both. Um, if you are a marine engineer - we build ships. So that is what I know. I think both would be fine, kind of related, but our marine engineers are mostly responsible for keeping up with one or more pieces of the ship - such as "cargo weapons elevator" or an engine.
Pay is good, depends on experience.
The pipe people do pipe. Either would be a good choice. I don't know, I think a pipe person would be more in the field.
Question: difference between piping engineer and piping designer?
Answer: engineer decides what pipes you need designer decides were to put them for specific application pipe fitter most important part of equation
Question: Is there is any institution in india which conduct course in piping engineering ? Am a mechanical engg
did they provide placement ?
Answer: dharthi drizzlers
Question: Is anyone interested in doing a Post Graduate Diploma in Piping Design and Engineering thru Distance Learning? Piping design & engineering is a key element in various streams of engineering. Piping & accessories constitute over 25% of the total capital investment in the chemical process industry, petroleum & petrochemical industry, pharmaceutical industry, power plants, long distance LNG / LPG / CNG Piping Systems & Irrigation Systems.
Answer: Why do you ask?
I might be when I finish.
