Answer: every degree (and someone without a degree) can have a good career... it is a common misunderstanding that you are bound by your degree. Your excellence in any field is driven by your ability to assert yourself not on the degree subject you obtained. If you were to study medicine and get a passing grade and reside yourself to not working very hard or trying to better yourself you will not have a good career.

Answer: metallurgy means to extract pure metal from its ore. then rifining it add other metals to it then casting in a mold to be shaped. it means to investigate the properties of metals and alloys. to add alloy element to attain special properties for especial purpose. heat treatment and mechanical metallurgy are another field of metallurgy, test metals(destructive or nondestructive test) . i hope to be usefull for you.
