Question: What is a better job a pharmacist or a chemical engineer? I am currently a chemical engineering major and I am also working as a Pharm Tech. what is a better career path for me? Should i get my chemical engineering degree and go into pharmacy school or should i just graduate and work as a chemical engineer? What is a better job a chemical engineer or a pharmacist?
Answer: You'll probably earn more as a pharmacist and it'll probably be a more easy-going job, but pharmacology is a really really popular field now and you'll have a lot of competition in pharmacy school. Do you think you'd enjoy being a pharmacist for the rest of your life? Would you go find a job after you receive your degree, or will you be pursuing a Masters? Both these types of careers will be highly sought after. My former roommate was Chem E and is now working for Conoco-Phillips. Personally, I believe that pursuing a career in pharmacology will yield better results in the future though. Good luck!
Question: What exactly does a Chemical Engineer do? Hi. I'm a senior in high school and I am most likely to go into the engineering field of chemistry. I wanted to know all the different jobs or objectives a chemical engineer would do during his or her work hours.
Answer: Chemical engineers can fill a vast number of roles in a vast number of fields. "Traditional" chemical engineers design, implement, modify, and maintain the hardware systems necessary to carry out a specific chemical reaction at maximum efficiency. Basically the chemists figure out how to make something chemically. It's then the chemical engineer's job to scale that up and make bulk production possible and affordable. I myself am a research chemical engineer. My job entails designing and testing micro chemical and thermal systems for the DOE. Currently I am working on a project where I take a fuel such as propane and react it catalytically to produce hydrogen and single carbon products. We then separate out the hydrogen and send it to a fuel cell, which produces electricity. My graduate work was using magnetic resonace microscopy (like an MRI) to do material science studies of fuel cell materials. I did an internship at a company making solar energy cells, where I standardized an acid etch process to make it safer, more reliable, and cheaper. So as you can see, there are a bunch of different ways chemical engineering can be employed. But what it all comes down to is making chemical processes and products cheaper and better.
Question: How much money does a chemical engineer make? On average, how much money does a chemical engineer make?
What about if he owns his own business?
Answer: Less than the cost it will take to replace you... You'll never make what your worth as long as you have a job....
If your really looking for a business opportunity let me know...
Question: What does a chemical engineer do after university? suppose you are a chemical engineer. You have employed in a refinery. What are your responsibilities? Do you need to go to site and fix equipment? Or does the refinery need your calculation?
Answer: The question is actually more general. Unless the size of the company is very small and the single engineer is expected to do everything, it is normally a technician who fixes things. The role of the engineer is to plan and design for new developments. This may include analysis of how well they perform and also the quantities of parts or materials needed and the associated costs.
He/she may also supervise their construction to a limited degree, along with other inspectors and later be responsible for planned maintenance and repair procedures without doing the actual work of repair etc.
Question: How much will a chemical engineer make straight out of college? My boyfriend will be a chemical engineer and we would like to know what kind of salary he will have.
Answer: In the United States of America, there are estimated to be about 32,490 chemical engineers. The average salary per hour for a chemical engineer is about $36.66 per hour, but can range from between $23.37 per hour to $52.72 per hour. The annual salary average for a chemical engineer is equal to about $76,250, but can range from between $48,600 to $109,670 annually

Question: How much does a chemical engineer makes in a month in Australia? Salary paid to chemical engineer in Australia.
Answer: a million
Question: Is it easy to find a well earned job being a chemical engineer? Hello, im 23, i just got my title as Chemical Engineer. Right now, i work in a water analysis laboratory and i worked in a big beverage company but i earn a little mount of money. My english is not the best, i know, (indeed, spanish is my native language) but i learnt english by myself and i would like to find a good job for me and with a good salary. Is it easy to get one with those conditions according to my skills?
Answer: I'm not sure what your title means. I have a degree in Chemical Engineering but I've never had a job title as a Chemical Engineer.
I started out working in a lab but moved into plant engineering and maintenance. The hours were long but the pay was good.
If language is a problem either improve your English skills or maybe look for jobs in South America. The aluminum and oil companies can always use chemical engineers. I would think the State run oil companies in Mexico would also need Chemical Engineers.
I've never had a problem finding a job, and most of them paid an acceptable amount. Good luck
Question: Can I be a chemical engineer by graduating from community college? I've heard that some degrees can only be earned if I go to universities.
Can I be a chemical engineer just by graduating from community college? Or do I have to go to a university to earn the degree?
If I go to community college for 2 years, and transfer to a university, how long does it usually take after transferring to university to become a chemical engineer?
Thank you so much :] I'm just really curious
Answer: No, you cannot. You need to have a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering (note: NOT chemistry) at minimum. As for how long it takes, note that this is an engineering program which is very rigorous compared to other majors. It depends a lot on your math proficiency when you enter the system. If you have to take a lot of remedial math courses, the process will take longer. five, even six years. On the other hand, if you qualify to sit for a calculus III course in your first semester, you have a good chance of finishing everything up in four years.
And while you can go to a CC for 2 years and transfer, you got to be a little careful about this approach with an engineering degree in mind. Ensure that your CC has higher level science courses such as calculus-based physics up to the quantum mechanics level, C programming, and other such required courses. This is as sometimes CC's don't have these higher level courses as they tend to cater to a more generic liberal arts approach where those students seldom take these type of courses. Else, when you enter your university transfer, you are ineligible to take any engineering core courses until you've completed the engineering prereqs.
Question: Should I go to Pharmacy School or should I work as a Chemical Engineer when I graduate from college in 2011? I am supposed to graduate from college in May of 2011, and I am majoring in Chemical engineering. By that time what job will be more in demand, chemical engineer or a pharmacist? which one should i pursue?
Answer: Both are secure.
Chemical engineering is more r and d.
Pharmacy, has many different level, the lowest being your retail drug store.........
Arrange to shadow both for a few days, ask questions and observe
Question: what book do you recomend for someone who wants to become a chemical engineer? for begginers in chemistry, if you are a chemical engineer and you wish someone would have told you about a certain book what would it be?
Answer: 1) One book that is indispensable is the Perry's Chemical Engineer's Handbook.
2) I also obtained much useful information from the Kirk Othmer Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology.
Good Luck. It is a very hard course of study, but once you get through it, you will have many years of an interesting and rewarding career.
