Question: How to draw up a simple contract between the building owner and a canteen contractor? Canteen operator must serve food and drinks during the daytime to all persons in the building at reasonable prices.Cleanliness must b maintained.
Answer: Have an attorney draft the contract. You avoid all sorts of real expenses (lawsuits) that way, his fee will pale in comparison. Most states also require an attorney to draft contracts anyway. Better to have it right than done over and a judge making correction that neither of you can live with.
Question: How can I improve my resume objective? Seeking position in the electronics field in which my extensive knowledge, job experience, and education will benefit an established company and my skills can be utilized to their full potential.
I have experience as a machine operator, building servers and computer assembly and repair.
Answer: I LIKE IT! I don't know about the rest of the resume but that is a good start.
Question: Can anyone suggest a reliable operator on Sydney Harbour that I can contact for some Corporate Charters? We would like to do series of outdoor team building exercises, such as sailing regattas and corporate entertainment charters for our staff of 60 persons.
Answer: A few months ago, a colleague of mine arranged a corporate charter for our company. He called a company based in Rose Bay...Sydney Harbour Escapes. They had so many boats to choose from, but basically they emailed him through heaps of options and gave their personal advice on what would be best for us.
We ended up doing a sailing race...a catamaran regatta on three of their boats (Seawind Catamaran). We were divided into teams of three on three separate boats...my team was on a boat called Perfect Day, which of course won hands down! My competitive streak came out, so I got really hands on, where as a few of my colleagues chose to lay out on the front deck with a drink in hand and enjoyed the ride. It was great.
We stopped to raft up outside the zoo for lunch (which our skippers cooked up on the BBQ).
It was so much fun - highly recommend for a fun day out on Sydney Harbour. It really suited our team, whereas you may like to opt for a high-end cruiser to do the day in style...they have huge boats to accommodate your party of 60 for a more tame harbour cruise.
Anyway, speak with them direct and they'll give you honest advice and send through prices etc.

Question: How is gps activated on N95, do i have to contact operator or what , how to do it in India, Mumbai? I know that the new Nokia N95 has built in GPS. But how to use it. How to activate GPS, whome to contact. I am from Mumbai, India, anyone knows the procedure here.
Answer: Go to the main menu and click on the Maps icon.
As the application launches, the GPS receiver will be automatically launched. The service itself is free but you may have to pay data charges as the phone will keep checking for latest map data via your phone network.
I don't think their maps for India are very comprehensive at the moment but you can still try. Bear in mind that when you first log on, you will need to stay there until the satellite signals are captured. You can view this by the following steps once you are in the Maps application:
Options>View>Satellite Info: The Satellite Status bar will show you how many satellites the receiver has detected and when at least three bars are black, you are successfully connected.
Enjoy!

Question: Chicago Elevator Operator (Local 150?) requirements for large highrise renovation project? I am currently working on a Construction Project in Chicago, IL that is an $85 Million renovation to an existing 30 story building. The Owner does not wish to pay for an Elevator Operator to run the existing elevators for tradespeople as the building tenants are not relocating and the work is spread throughout the building. We think the an OE may be required as the overall building size is of a large SF.
When is an Operating Engineer required on a highrise renovation? Is there a specific written requirement that the Local 150 has to define these requirements?
Answer: Contact your Local I'm sure they would be glad to furnish you with answers to your questions. Legally it would be the best choice too. In most case the local has too much involvement.
Don't work too hard! : )

Question: How do they get cranes down off really really tall buildings? Beetham Tower, Manchester is the tallest residential building in the UK. I've been watching it's progress for a while. I am fascinated as to how they get the crane to the top of the building and get it down again. A friend suggested that they build the structure around it but I'm not quite sure if that'd work cos how would you get it out again?!
Does anyone know? - I'm looking for any form of website that can help or even advice from a crane operator or builder. It's driving me insane trying to figure it out and now my friends are going mad trying to find out too!!
The tower is 171m tall!
Answer: It depends on how tall you mean by really tall. As far as a normal tall building goes: they have mobile cranes which can go very high. These are used to erect and dismantle the site cranes at the beginning and end of a job. For really stupidly tall buildings (such as the Burj Dubai being built in Dubai: destined to become the world's tallest building) then they have to life cranes up bit by bit. I.E. Crane one lifts crane two above it, which lifts crane 1 above it etc. for construction. And then afterwards they take it in turn to lift each other back down the building.
Question: Which companies build the bandwidth so needed by cable internet operators? From an investment perspective, which companies benefit from a bandwidth shortage? An AFP article today states that users who download too much information are being cancelled by their ISP because bandwidth is in short supply due to HDTV, gaming, and downloading movies. So, who builds these networks, sells the materials to build networks, etc.?
Answer: U.S. Robotics, Cisco systems, AT&T, GE. You name it.
Question: How can I get rid of cox cable and phone? It is now a threat to my health. Cox has charged nme for using an operator when they mistakenly shut off my phone. I need some new cable company as well. I live in a part of San Diego where COX is my only choice. Help me please I will not live with COX anymore. I can not put a dish on my apartment building What can I do, I can not live without my cable tv. ?? COX is impossible they act like they own the place help me
Answer: i work for cox out of san diego and i do apologize for the inconvenience with us but i guarantee than you can speak to the billing/ customer care department and they take those charges off of your account but if you already have your account in former status then they can probably send you a check or credit your account for at least a couple of month's and like i said i mean COX is really the only ISP in san diego besides FOIS but you never know. and again i do apologize for the inconvenience.
Question: How do I prepare a presentation showing my team (107) are ready to work offshore? I am a manager of a new offshore platform. Question: Why are cars required to have airbags? I know the answer to that but I mean in relation to motorcycle safety. My car needs front and rear impact bumbers, steel re-inforced side beams, lap and shoulder belts, front and side air bags, safety glass etc. And a child needs to be in a booster seat until they're 80 or 90 lbs. Yet a motorcycle has no built in safety devices (aside from the operator), you don't need to wear a helmet (some states) and you can just strap your kid onto the back and say "hang on".
Without getting into an argument over bad drivers/cyclists, can someone explain this to me?
- The question isn't about why cars have air bags (read the first line) it's why are'nt motorcycles subject to the same department of transportation and government safety guidelines!
Answer: When you drive a motorcycle then you have to get a special license and take a special class. By doing this you have effectively signed a release form saying that if anything bad happens to you then nobody, but you is responsible for the lack of safety equipment on that motorcycle.
If you drive a motorcycle you take your life in your own hands. Since it was once legal to drive them and people owned them the DMV is reluctant to make them illegal. They try to make sure that people know how to drive motorcycles and are as safe as possible, but that is the limit to what they can do.
Tom Cruise likes to ride his motorcycle, however he can't do it when he is making a motion picture. The motion picture company's insurance company considers that to be too dangerous. If Tom Cruise is in an accident and production shuts down then that can cost millions of dollars a day. The insurance company will not pay for that, so they demand that Mr. Cruise's contact, for the movie roll, says that he cannot ride his motorcycle while he is filming the movie. He did anyway. This is also why movie companies don’t like their big stars trying to do their own stunts, which Mr. Cruise also does.
Recently, an American Football star was driving his motorcycle, during the summer, before the season began. He was riding without a helmet and had an accident. He messed up his leg and was put into the hospital. When the football team that had his contract found out about this there was a big worry that they would kick him off the team for doing that. He was doing something considered very dangerous and his professional football team could have canceled his contract for it. He got better, and was able to play that season so the team didn't cancel his contract, but you can bet they told him to get rid of that motorcycle or they would cancel his contract.
Question: What would you do if you were in my shoes? Again,I need your wise help.I've been offered a job as a switchboard operator in a 5 luxury star hotel in Venice.Actually,it's a hotel in a lonely island in front of Saint Mark square. The hotel is the only building in the island but there's a free boat-shuttle service from and to the island to Saint Mark square. The job itself sounds quite interesting and it's a way to use my English too.
The only problem is that since I don't live there nor nearby, they can put me up in a shared accomodation with one or two other people.
Unfortunately, the last time I shared an accommodation with somebody,it was a tragic experience and I wouldn't want it to happen again. What should I do?If you were me,would you accept it or not?
Any suggestion will be highly appreciated and please, tell me if you think my English is good.
Answer: Well, is this job better than your current job? If you take the job, will you be able to save enough to quickly move out on your own? BTW, your english is perfect.
Question: Is Palin more proof that the Republican party is just a puppet government of Big Oil? in fact, her husband is an oil production operator for BP on Alaska's North Slope). She said earlier this week, "When I look every day, the big oil company's building is right out there next to me, and it's quite a reminder that we should have mutually beneficial relationships with the oil industry."
Answer: YOU KNOW THAT IT IS,
WHAT A WEAK AND TERRIBLE PICK
THATS LIKE PICKING HARRIET MIERS

Question: Where can I find the rules for establishing billboards in Louisiana? I own a lot next to an interstate highway and would like to erect a billboard (or lease to an operator). There is a billboard on the adjoining lot also. Is there some type of rules governing the issue of my ability to build a sign, given that it could block view of the other one?
Answer: why don't you find out who owns the billboard next to you, and ask them for rules. I believe it has to do with real estate laws. "air rights" ask a real estate expert, i think you'll find the answer there. but that's a good idea!
