Question: How long does a title company have to submit a new title to the registrar of deeds? We purchased a home in June, and have recently discovered that the title has not been registered with the registrar of deeds office in our county (Mecklenburg). We called the title company, and evidently they sent the title via snail mail in late August 2006. Is it standard for a title company to wait almost two months before submitting a title to the registrar of deeds? Are they supposed to just send it through the mail? Since now it appears there has been a problem, what rights do we have in order to hold the title company responsible for making sure the situation is handled? Thanks so, so much for your help! Answer: A closing agent should "promptly" record all instruments to minimize the possibility of some other instrument erroneously or intentionally impairing title. If the closing agent (here, the title company) unreasonably delays recording they would be liable for any resulting damages. Knowing the laid back way business is conducted in NC, I'm not surprised that things sit on desks for weeks. While I think two months is way over excessive, you have not indicated you have suffered any damage by the delay, and it is unlikely you will. The only suggestion I have is to complain to your mortagage lender about their delay. They provide a lot of business & will probably be none too happy about such lazy business practices.

Question: Who handles Subdomains, the registrar or the hosting company? I want to have multiple subdomains for my website. The domain registrar I am planning on using says they allow up to 5 subdomains. Since I need more subdomains than five, I contacted a hosting company. They stated that subdomains are folders inside the htdocs folder and all I need to do is create folders with root access. So who controls the subdomains, the domain registrar or my hosting company (with root access).

Answer: Your hosting company gave you the correct answer. You just have to create subfolders under your root folder. It has nothing to do with your registrar.

Answer: Hi hun, I'm in Devon too! And i just got married on the 20th June! And i'm pregnant, due Dec 17th! how weird! Anyway, I found out the home number of the reverend for our parish church and rang him first, he went through the legal questions like 'have either of us been married before' etc and basically just said that the date was fine etc and arranged an initial meeting with us for a few weeks later (he came to our house), where we went through our reasons for wanting to get married, the fees, banns form etc. We then had another two meetings at home nearer the time and a rehearsal 3 days before at the church. It might be slightly different depending on where the ceremony is, eg in a hotel, ours was a church wedding, but i would still say get hold of a local (or a couple of local) vicars first of all and just ring them for an initial chat to see if they can do the date, if they are prepared to travel to your venue and what fees will be etc? I didnt know what to expect either but ours was very helpful. Congratulations on setting the date! Its so exciting, i'm still buzzing! xx

Write to the minister of education with copies to reputable newspapers. End this nightmare for ever. No one should have to attest their own work. Copies of official transcripts should normally be sent by the issuing authority upon request - directly to the institution requesting it - with a confirmation to the individual requesting it. A good source of revenue - why are the Indian schools not cashing on it. Why the unnecessary run-around with questions from thousands of students.

Question: How can I transfer a domain name to a new registrar? I have requested my ISP to cancell my web hosting account before its expiration date(October this year)because I want to join a new web hosting company.
