Question: What were the principals of the constitution and the ensuring laws that were being challenged or defended? What were the principals of the constitution and the ensuring laws that were being challenged or defended in the Marbury vs Madison case?
Answer: Separation of powers is the main principle; also, check out the sixth amendment. The President does vow to "uphold and preserve" when the oath of office is taken. If two laws conflict, the courts must decide how each law should work.
Question: What does a high turnover of Assistant Principals mean? And does it create mixed values regarding policies, ideas, and action plans. I am a graduate teacher and the current school i am working at has a high turnover of assistant principals. It is a special needs school and the two principals who are there atm have only been there a few months are both acting AP's as far as I'm aware. What kinds of things does this lead to and is it a bad thing?
Answer: High turnover just means that the assistant principals that have worked there don't stay long. This could lead to some problems. Assistant principals are rarely the policy makers, but they are the ones most commonly enforcing the rules and regulations. If they don't see eye to eye, and there is a constant upheaval of the administration, there are going to be mixed values, as there would be in any mixed group of individuals.
Question: How to make a formula to calculate the total of principals and interests after the specified years? Can anyone make me a formula to calculate the total of principals and interests after the specified years.
For example:
I regularly deposit $100 each month with 1% of interest per month. How much the total of principals and interests after 10 years?
Answer: It depends whether you invest money
a) at the start or
b)end of each month
for a) total = S [(1+i)^n -1]/(i/(1+i))
for b) total = S [(1+i)^n -1]/ i
S is the amount you invest each month , n is number of months, i = interest rate
in this case assuming b), you get 100(1.01^120-1)/.01 = $23,003.87
Proof: I'll just do the proof for b). To do the same for a, you just carry through an extra factor of (1+i) on each term
For your first payment, assume it is at the end of the first month. After n months total, your money has accumulated for n-1 months, so the value at the end of the period from this payment is S (1+i)^n-1
For your second payment, the accumulated value is S (1+i)^n-2
so the total is
S (1+i)^n-1 +s (1+i)^n-2 +...+S (1+i)^1 +S (1+i)^0
= S[ (1+i)^n-1 + (1+i)^n-2+...+ (1+i)^1 + 1]
this is a geometric progression. with multiplicative term 1+i ---if you haven't met these, you can look them up on the internet for more info.
So you get S[(1+i)^n -1) /(1+i-1) = S[(1+i)^n -1] / i
Question: What could be the principals for immigration based on the Constitution? OK so I am in the 8th grade. My social studies class is begging to make our CBA's. Mine is based on immigration. my opinion is that I think that immigration should be legal. So I need help finding the principals. I already have human rights, I need up to 3 more. I also need good pro's and co's, based on this topic. Thank you!
Answer: Daniel C is correct, that immigration is already "legal."
But, just like most anything else, you have to follow the laws regarding it or else you are a criminal (just like a speed zone - driving may be legal, but exceeding the speed limit is not).
Question: What were all of the principals of the Charlotte A. Dunning School in order from first to fifth? Name all the principals in order from 1 - 5 as well as the Charlotte A. Dunning MIssion Statement.
Answer: http://www.framingham.k12.ma.us/dunning/

Question: Is someone a secretary of a school or the Principals personal secretary? Just in general, if there was a secretary at an elementary school, who worked in the front office, handled the phones, signed kids in and out, etc., would this person be secretary of the school OR the Principals personal secretary (example: the principal makes a list of things "to do" and gives it to the secretary.)
Just curious what your opinion would be.
Answer: That person would be the school secretary. Many schools also have an administrative assistant or executive assistant to the principal. This person would handle tasks for the principal and/or act on behalf of the principal when required.
There are schools where both of these jobs are handled by the same person, but where I am from that is rare.
Question: Would McCain have won the presidency in 2008 had he chosen a VP based on principals and not based on a gimmick? I've been watching him in interviews lately and he is a far more different person than he was during the 2008 campaign.
I honestly think that he might have won (in spite of bush) if it weren't for the fact that he sold out his core principals.
What say you?
Answer: This is a good question because with no doubt, the choice of Sarah Palin was perhaps the worst choice in the long run by any candidate in the history of politics. Could he have won....probably not. But he would have put himself in a position to be a better frontrunner for the 2012 elections.
What John McCain lost was his credibility in choosing Palin, which has hurt him more than losing the election. Sarah Palin made McCain change his personna, his style, because she was so energetic. He needed to pick someone who complimented his style more that did not make him look so...well I hate to say it but...Old!
Question: To be certified to teach do you take the Principals of learning and Teaching and one Praxis II in content area? Is it just the:
1) Principals of learning and teaching
2) and the Praxis 2 in the content area in which you want to teach?
I would like some guidance in how to be certified in South Carolina. Is it possible to be certified without doing any classes?
Answer: You have to take the PLT and also content area tests, but you may have to take more than one test for your content area.
For some of the tests, like Social Studies, you have to take two content knowledge tests, just like I had to here in Kentucky.
Also, I would recommend you get some study guides off Amazon or Barnes & Noble. The Cliffs TestPrep version really helped me in Social Studies. I would not recommend the Cliffs TestPrep for Principles of Learning and Teaching however, it was useless, and didn't help at all.
But seriously study as much as you can. You don't want to be like one guy I know who had to take the PLT three times. These tests are WAY to expensive to take more than once. Get a good night's sleep and make sure you get there early too. They don't play around with the time schedule.
Question: What are the basic principals of Communism? I know some:
- having no social classes.
- Equal distribution and share of economy + its assets
Are there 3 "big" principals that cover up pretty much the whole idea of Communism? I am asking this for I need to write a research essay on this.
Thanks all in advance

Question: Principals.? My husband has been single all his life. He is 41. He has alot of female friends. One in particular lives out of state. She is comming to visit. He in the past had written some emails that were discoverd by me because I snooped in his email. These were to her and I felt they were in appropriate. It hurt my feelings. It is not an issue of trust, but an issue of respect for me. She sends him text messages wanting to know if he is available...and sends him text messages w/pictures. He says there is nothing there between them only friends. He wants her to stay with us when she visits. I'm uncomfortable with that...b/c of the past. She is a nice person, I actually like her. I'm just not comfortable with the situation, he does not understand how I feel and when I bring it up it results in a big argument. We have not been married that long (a few months) I love him and want to work this out, I want him to see my point of view. I do not like this friendship. What do I do?
Answer: would you rather have her staying where you can see her or somewhere where your hubby will go visit her??
