Question: Do you need a math credit to become a Early Childhood Educator? Hello, i was just wondering if you need a math credit to become an early childhood educator, and i also would like to know what other things could i become with a math credit because i need to decide now, its my last year of high school. Please help!!! THANKS!
Answer: Isn't the math required for High School?
Depends on what your plan is for further education...are you planning on entering the early childhood field as a child care worker with very little training or, the more desired, to get your Early Childhood Endorsement? As already mentioned, you'll need the math for any Bacherlor's degree.
Math is a very important skill for early childhood educators. Math is used every day in many different situations.
Question: what do i take to be an early childhood educator? im looking in to being an early childhood educator in the future, and i was wondering what courses do i take in college? do i just take the early childhood coarse that lasts 2 years, or do i take something more?
what is the main name of it...and please describe it, thanks so much !
and what does your average have to be to get into a college?
mine has been between 85-89 all through high school.
Answer: I am currently going for my early childhood education degree. You have to take basic classes your first two years.I am only in my first year so I do not know for sure all the classes but the admissions office at the college you choose can tell you .UCF is great for education.I know for sure you have to take a class called, technology for educators.Oh that class is hard.Good luck getting your degree.I recommend community college but that's just my opinion.
Question: Your thoughts on being an Early Childhood Educator? What are your thoughts on being an Early Childhood Educator? All thoughts and opinions would be gladly appreciated.
Answer: I love being a part of the first step in a child's school career. I love knowing that I have a huge role in their education and early intervention for delays. How we treat a child can affect them their entire lives. You must always be on guard to never ever humiliate and to praise praise praise. Hopefully, this child will grow up and have a wonderful school career and happy thoughts of the teacher they had in preschool who loved them and always wanted the best for them.
Question: How much is the salary of an early childhood educator? How much does a person who cares for your precious children get? If it really is a big deal, how come we, as EC educators still get paid peanuts? Just out of curiousity, anyone in NZ working as a nanny educator, how much do you get? I am really curious as I am studying towards my dip in ECE.
Answer: I hate to say this but here the salary of an early childhood educator is extremely low in comparison with other educations. They receive a salary that a teacher assistant would receive. Early childhood special education teachers; however, receive regular teacher salaries starting out at a little of $30,000/year. Of course the higher the degree the higher the salary.
Question: is a early childhood educator the same as a kindergarten teacher? i wanna to be a kindergarten teacher and the college i currently attend has a early childhood educator career course but i dont know if its the same
Answer: no not really. early childhood education or ece tends to deal with pre-k kids. although many school districts are now implementing pre-k programs and even licensing pre-k teachers it is not the same as being a licensed k-5 teacher. you want to look into majoring in elementary education.
Question: For Early Childhood Educator's, what works best in terms of discipline in a daycare setting? What are you finding works with the children best? And how are you coping with very difficult challenges/behaviors?
Answer: The word "discipline" means to teach, not to punish. The best thing for children is to teach and model the behavior you expect. Our center also incorporates social emotional curriculum that addresses many of these issues by focusing on empathy. We teach as the behavior arises also. We give children the skills to negotiate and voice their opinions.
Another important part of managing young children's behavior is to provide a good clean and nurturing environment that is predictable.
Question: what courses in high school (grade 11) should i take to become an early childhood educator? & do you know any UNIVERSITY in ontario which i can go to for this career?
Answer: You need to take your regular classes so that you will graduate from High School. Then once you go to college, your adviser will direct you more. You will take about two years on basic classes in college. Then the last two years are your education type classes that will prepare you to become a teacher.
Question: to be an early childhood educator, what courses to i have to take in high school from grade 11? what to i have to take in university?
Answer: Check the requirements of the college(s) you want to go to. Talk to a HS counselor.
