Question: Applied for Hiring Coordinator position at a bank. Any tips to help me land the job? I currently work as a HR Consultant for a firm that works with city and county govenments. We help them recruit/hire (a little), create job ads, write job descriptions, develop personnel policies, set compensation, etc. I've been working there for a year and a half.
The position would be recruiting and hiring hourly employees, maintaining recruitment files, and maintaining HR forms and job descriptions. They want 1-2 years of related experience and proficiency in Office products, with banking experience a plus.
I don't have experience in the banking industry, but I do offer an MBA, Bachelor's Degree in HR, and have assisted one client in recruiting and screening applicants for an HR Director position. I have recruited and hired an HR Assistant and two interns for our firm and written/revised many job descriptions.
I believe I have the education and experience, but how can I make myself stand out before and after the interview? What are banks in particular looking for?
Answer: Given your background, you already know HR and particularly full life-cycle hiring process. My suggestion is that you look around job sites for banking related jobs and learn the banking industry language. Things like what professional licenses are out there and required for specific roles, what systems are commonly used in banking industry, what regulatory governing bodies are etc.
Best wishes.
Question: How should I dress for an interview for a training coordinator position with a major construction company ? I am over 50 and a suit makes me look as if I am interviewing for the VP's job.
Answer: The word “interview” itself makes a person tense and nervous who needs to appear in the interview. It is normal human behaviour to become confused or get tensed but such things can be overcome with practice, learning from seniors and elders, thru own experience. At my time internet was not available. These days Internet is a rich source of information. U can learn many things about the interview by visiting the websites the links of which are given below. On some websites u will find questions also along with answers which are frequently asked and questions pertaining to ur requirement can also be found there provided u surf on them thoroughly and consciously. It will improve ur performance remarkably. If will infuse a high level of confidence in u. It will make u more frank and it will develop diplomatic qualities in u too. Overall, I would say that it will give an impetus to ur personality development. Ur specific requirement can also be met on these sites provided these are surfed thoroughly and consciously.

Question: Can someone please give me a good work objective im applying for a front desk coordinator position? Ok so i dont even really know what it is. All I know is that i work hard at everything I do I always try my best. So if anyone could please give me an example it would greatly be appreciated, thank you!
Answer: Hi ok, someone who is a front desk coordinator is going to be someone who is really good at listening to a question from a guest or an employee of the company & processing that question to come up with a useful answer.
You could never be late for that job as chances are you are opening & closing the office for everyone else.
YOu should have great organizing skills as you're going to have to be someone who is asked very similar questiosn all the time & should just keep a file for where things are & how to do it.
You should also be someone who takes MUCh initative because chances are ppl are coming to you after trying others. Or you could be the person that everyone ellse in your company, refers others to.
As you didn't mention what industry you were applying into, I would suggest you find someone who knows someone who works in such an industry or repost another question to this one asking re: that.
I was also thinking you probably have to have great typing skills, great phone skills, a very polished appearance as you are "front desk" which means new hair cut, good makeup or just a really tidy appearance--so if you have piercings, perhaps take them out for the job interview & leave them out if you get it.
If your hair is dyed with a non natural color, consider revising that & go dressed in a suit--as if the job isn't that formal, at least you didn't go in looking like you didn't realize that it wasn't formal--just assume that you have to look like your the best receptionist, front desk person that the place has ever had--and show up with a great attitude, positive and great communication skills.
A job like that also would want to know that you are good on the intenet searching out ideas & I would bring up that you are good on yahoo answers as it points out that you can be super helpful on a variety of subject matters.
Good luck
Question: I have an interview tommorrow for a Training and Developement Coordinator position? The interview is with the whole team, where there will be 2 trainers and the manager of training what kind of questions I should prepare for please advise and thanks in advance
Answer: Some questions they might ask are:
1) How do you prioritize your work?
2) Why are you interested in training (or this role)?
3) Give me an example of how you've used Excel previously? (or any software that the job requires experience with)
4) Tell me about a time you've had to handle an upset customer.
Question: What can I expect from a Public Relations Coordinator position over the phone interview? specifically, for a hotel in las vegas
Answer: Any type of "Coordinator" position can entail a wide range of whatever they need extra help with. The most important thing you will need to score this job is that you can keep your cool, think well on your feet, can multi-task, work well with others, and have a can-do attitude. While you don't want to have all your answers be "I'll have to check on that and get back to you", there is nothing with saying that you don't know as long as you let them know you will do whatever it takes to find out. Can you make a few cold calls to people holding similar positions and ask them for some tips? Good luck to you.
Question: Which do you think is the better position? Appraisal Coordinator or Escrow Officer? I need to pick a position by tomorrow and with the information I have about both job responsibilities I'm having trouble picking between the two. I like them both. Please help! please give me your opinion thanks.
Answer: Yes in many certian kind there is a big way it could work
