Question: System Administrator? The original System Admin's profile got a virus, and for some odd reason, there is no system administrator what so ever now. How do i become system administrator now.
Answer: Try running in safe mode. When you reboot/boot you computer press F8 and run in safe mode. There is a default administrator account, use that and fix your virus problem.
If that doesn't work, try REPAIRING your OS. Do not REFORMAT. There is a notion with people that Reformatting the Hard drive will save all problems, but repairing the OS would do just the same WITHOUT the expense of deleting all your files. After repairing, install a good antivirus and scan your computer for any virus.
Question: How to stop System Administrator to looking into my computer? My computer is running under a office lan system, where my system administrator is remotely accessing my computer and watching my works, which is killing my privacy. Is there any way to stop him or get a warning when he will be trying to access my computer? Please help me out....
Answer: Privacy? That computer you are using is the property of the company and as the System Administrator, he/she is the Sgt. at Arms for the King (CEO). Not only do you not have any "privacy" rights on the network of the company, but instead, just the opposite. Every keystroke you make on that computer belongs to the company. Every word you type, website click you make, picture you view, sound you listen to - everything - belongs to the company and not to you. System administrators need to be scanning all PCs on the network, it is a matter of good information security. If you feel that your work habits, words, or other information is being used against you, then your next visit should be to Human Resources Just be aware thay it is likely they have kept a record of everything you've ever done on that computer and if push comes to shove, they will lay it out for the world to see. Bottom line, you have no rights to privacy on a computer (and phone) system that you do not own. Period.
Question: How do I contact the system administrator to allow me to view a web based school advisor program? I am trying to access a SOAR account which is a online program for students to view things such as grades, and register/drop programs. When I try to access the page I get the message saying System Error Detected. It then tells me to contact my system administrator. How can I contact the system administrator, or is there anyway arround this?
Answer: First thing to try is turn off any Pop-Up blockers running in your web browser or browser add-on toolbars.
Next step is to check their website for a self-help link. You are probably not the first person to ever have a problem accessing their resources. Look for something like "Frequently Asked Questions", "FAQ" or "Knowledgebase".
Finally, contact the organization hosting the SOAR account and tell them your problem.
Best of luck to you!
Question: How can I get the System Administrator to allow Superantispyware to install in safe mode? I've downloaded Superantispyware, but when I try to run it in safe mode I get a Windows Installer message stating that "the System Administrator has set policies to prevent this installation". Also, how do I disable the McAfee program while running Superantispyware?
Answer: You shouldn't have to turn off McAfee to install Superantispyware, and if you're being told otherwise, I would suspect Superantispyware is itself malware that McAfee would recognize. If this is the case, drop it like a hot rock.
Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware SE are a widely recommended pair.
Also, when running any anti-malware, remember the Safe Mode trick. If anything doesn’t seem to be able to get rid of everything it reports finding, try running it again in Safe Mode. Safe Mode often prevents the malware from running and protecting itself.
Also, turn off System Restore to evict any copies of bad stuff that might be lurking there.
To get into Safe Mode:
1.Log out and reboot your machine.
2.When the machine starts the reboot sequence, press the F8 key repeatedly.
3.Select Safe Mode from the resulting menu.
4.The machine will continue booting, but the Windows desktop will look different. You won't be able to see the Internet, for instance. Log in as Administrator. Administrator often has no password.
5.When you're finished, log out and reboot back into normal mode.
Update and run them all regularly.
Good luck.
Question: What are the skills required to become a Windows System Administrator? I read several times that System Administrator is a boring job. Not a really creative one however a job that pays decently. I was wondering what are the basic duties of a System Administrator?
For Windows what are the certifications needed to apply for a System Administrator job? Thank you in ad vance for your constructive & helpful answers
Answer: To become a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), you must pass the equivalent of four Microsoft Certfied Professional (MCP) exams. Two of the exams are based on the Windows Server operating system (typically 70-290 and 70-291). The third exam must demonstrate proficiency in a client operating system such as Vista or XP. The third exam is called an "elective" and can be from a variety of areas including security, networking or other areas.
A good systems administrator will have not only the technical skill but also good written and verbal communication skills, the ability to understand and comply with company and regulatory policies.
As a recommendation, it is better to obtain an entry level position as a Help Desk Analyst and complete your certification exams while employed and gaining experience. Typically I only hire administrators with at least two years of Help Desk experience UNLESS they have an MCSA and a development background or a prior position as a systems administrator. Hope this helps. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Every time I try to add or delete a program or add a printer or anything I get a message that says "This operation has been canceled due to restrictions on your computer.
