Question: I am a Marketing Director for a really small firm. I need a jod change to make more money. Ideas? I am a Marketing Director for a really small firm in a rural community. Question: investment banker or marketing director? what is a better field to go into?.
I know right now investment banker isn't looking to great, but a job as a marketing director is very very hard to get.........so idk can someone help me who has one of these jobs or not?
I ment like you can still answer even if your not a marketing director or investment banker.
when I said or not thats what i ment.
Answer: honestly marketing director is kind of a crappy job, you can't really climb up any higher, sure good starting pay but it's not going to really change. investment banking is bad pay to start, but potentially great opportunities later on. it's really a personal call, do you want to go onto greater and higher positions, or err on the side of caution and stability.
whatever you do good luck with it
Question: Marketing Director Job for theater company? I have a group project and need to know what he does.
Answer: Marketing director will be in charge of organizing the marketing message about the production. I'm guessing theater is not cinema.
So the marketing director would be in charge of design of posters (in some cases), advertising message (what are they trying to tell people about the production), places of advertising (billboards, art journals, newspaper, sky writing, placing footprints on the sidewalk to the front door, ect..), and budgeting.
Hope this helps
Question: As newly appointed marketing director of citroen, draw a global marketing strategy for the next ten years? As newly appointed marketing director of citroen, briefly assess the current range of models available, and then outline the key points of a global marketing strategy for the next ten years.
Answer: As marketing director the marketing strategy that you need to focus on is to stop people thinking of lemons when they think of Citroen!!!
The first thing I have ALWAYS thought of when I hear or see a Citroen is LEMON!!! and I even know they are good cars. But cars that are bad are considered lemons.
Question: Admissions/Marketing Director Salary in a Nursing/Rehab Facility? How much would an admissions/marketing director make for a nursing/rehab facility? Also, do they make a bonus per admission? How does this work? Also, if the candidate has a BA degree... does that make a difference??
Answer: It's mostly based on commissions. They don't care if you have a BA as long as you are effective at bringing in clients.
Question: i am looking for a part time student job that can lead me to a becoming a marketing director in the future...? what kind of job can I work now that I can work up in and possibly lead to something related. If I do marketing, I want to promote products and advertising.
Answer: Hi there,
I think your best direction is retail. Retail positions offer a ground-up spectrum of experience, and you get to see your target marketing in buying mode.
Also, as a student you'll want something with flexible hours, which a retail job is perfect for. Managers are used to students needing to work around their school schedules.
The most important thing to consider is what kind of industry you'd like to work in. Certain companies (Starbucks, American Apparel) are known for being progressive and breaking new ground. Other companies (Wal-mart, grocery stores) are not. You'll probably want to work somewhere a little more cutting edge, as that will give you the experience you're probably looking for as a future marketing professional. Nobody ever wanted to get into marketing so they could sell plumbing parts or weed whackers.
Good luck in your marketing career!

Question: how do you work your way up to being a marketing director? i have the qualifications
so how do u work your way up, what would you start with
Answer: Read alot of books. You must already have the main factor, which is a performance personality. You are probably seduced by the fast lane, so here is how I started. I went to a seasonal business, like the tax industry who uses marketing to thrive. On my first year I became a franchise owner based on performance increase! There are business opportunities there, you have to grab them and open your horizons by choosing short term positions until you find your spot. You have to commit to improve everyday and be really good at one thing before moving on to the next. Stay grounded and set your standards high.
Marketing is fantastic field with so many options. Just don't sit on it, move with it and you will enjoy.

Answer: Marketing directors oversee a company's marketing strategy. For the most part marketing directors concern themselves with market segments, which are large groups of consumers defined by income, ethnicity, age, or a number of other factors. Ultimately marketing directors want to know which market segments will buy their company's products and how best to sell those products to their target market.
The duties of a marketing director vary considerably from company to company. Some marketing directors limit themselves to analyzing the market potential and profitability of various products and to developing strategies to achieve the greatest number of sales of those products in the market. Other directors are responsible not only for analyzing markets and proposing strategies but also for implementing those strategies through market research, product development, advertising, and sales promotion programs. Still other marketing directors have sales managers reporting to them.
Marketing directors use a variety of techniques to determine the potential market for a particular product. For example, the number of babies being born in a
The duties of a marketing director vary considerably from company to company. Some analyze the market potential and profitability of products, whereas others implement sales strategies or are responsible for the overall sales and profit performance. Marketing directors determine the probability and the cost of gaining a certain share of the market. They develop strategies that will counter their competitors' advertising approach and gain their company a larger share of the market at the expense of the competition. Marketing directors study sales figures closely to keep track of how their company's products are selling.
Sometimes marketing directors supervise market research. They use the research data to determine what customers do and do not like about certain products and what improvements and new products consumers want to see in stores. Marketing research may be done by outside research firms or by an inside staff. Regardless of who performs the research, it is usually up to the marketing director to make the final interpretations of the data. Based on what the research reveals, the director must recommend and implement a marketing strategy that is within the budget, resources, and capabilities of the company.
