Answer: Tobacco is regulated to 18 or older. And, while high energy drinks probably aren't the best things for kids to drink I don't think they've been shown to cause the extent of disease that tobacco has (cancer, heart disease, lung disease). Perhaps we should leave this for parents to regulate. They should be more aware of what their children are consuming. More government regulation and interference is not always the answer. I don't think schools should have this drinks for sale on campus, but the same could be said of sodas!

Answer: You asked this in another question. No, Tobacco is a substance, energy drinks are a mixture of substances. Caffeine is not lethal unless you have a lot. Sure, some have a lot of sugar, or too many will make you feel sick or jittery, but that's no different from a can of Coke, and is no reason to federally regulate them. Why should energy drinks be regulated, it's a great market and helps the economy, the government has no right to interfere.

Answer: I think your idea is poorly thought out. First, where in Africa do you intend to operate? Africa is big; there are many countries with varying degrees of being business-friendly. Then, who are your potential customers and how do you know they can afford solar power, since it's one of the most expensive ways of producing electricity known to man?

Answer: It sounds like you may not be all that familiar with Direct Energy. My experience I know that when they advertise for CSRs to register residential customers it means you will be going door to door trying to convince people to sign up with Direct Energy contracts. It is not easy work by any means because most homeowners will just say they're happy with the service they already have. Most people aren't interested in signing up for those 5 year contracts they push. In your "training" you may learn some techniques that may not sit well with you. While their approach has definitely gotten better many people still remember the problems they had with Direct Energy reps. You may want to do a little more research on this job before you go buy a new suit for it. As for the interview itself - I wouldn't sweat over it - the turn over in staff is quite heavy. I don't think you're going to get anything other than standard questions regarding your experience. Again I urge you to spend some time doing some research on this company before making any hasty decisions. But Good Luck on your Interview.

Answer: Today I could have stopped and bought a sandwich for lunch, but I didn't. I went home and made a sandwich....I decided that since I planned to eat out tonight i just didn't want to burn through the extra five buck. Why? Because I had just filled my tank and it cost eight more dollars than the last time I filled up. A small thing, but even I, Mr. Eat Out A Lot, cut back on a purchase. I can only imagine how this gradual financial garrot has affected folks a bit less fortunate than I. Answer: That is an achievable pay for a salesperson. Even someone with little experience can bring in that kind of money if they are gorgeous, charming, and have a knack for convincing people. However, a sales job is usually on commission. The $2000 is probably a target pay, based on what she sells. The base pay is likely very little. Only time will tell whether she is successful. I don't know about the particular business in question. It could be legit, or not.

Answer: on your direct question, I cant say without empirical data, which i dont have. however, in doing energy audits for friends and neighbors, the tendency is to remove these switches to provide for greater selections in lighting options including CFLs and LEDs. to basic CFL and LED lights, dimmers are like kryptonite. all of my dwelling is LEDs save for the dimmer switches, in which i am forced to use the aforementioned special variety cfls. mood and style are important to some, but for those that prefer efficiency over mood and style, the gains achieved from the removal of the dimmer are superior than if it stayed. james altestore.com staff

Answer: If you live in the USA, then the legal answer is NO. the Supreme Court of the USA has ruled that JW's are not solicitors and therefore the sign does not apply to them. If you want a sign on your door, you will need to be more specific. or You can tell the next Witness that comes to your door to add you to the "Do Not Call List" .

Question: Sales = Enrollment for energy consumers? I have a job interview on Tuesday, and the job description says "Enrollment for energy consumers- Commercial Business to Business and Residential Enrollment". Does that mean that I would be selling the company's energy plan to consumers? (It's an energy corporation). It might seem like an obvious answer, but they just invited me to an interview and they weren't clear at all about what the job actually is.

Answer: Sounds like you are interviewing for an energy utility. You will be enrolling business and residential customers in energy saving programs. In our area Edison runs a program to cut energy consumption. Companies and people who agree to cut costs when consumption spikes will get a reduced rate on their electric bill.

Question: Do you think that they should ban the sale of energy drinks (such as red bull and rockstar) to minors? Why? Why not?

Answer: I think so, however it would never be practical, you could never enforce it. Remember, one red bull has the amount of caffeine of two cups of coffee, which is the amount of caffeine as 5 Coca Colas. Probably 4 Mountain Dews, I know that has more caffeine. These kids pumping this much caffeine into their systems at such a young age is going to lead to a dependence as an adult. They'll need a 2PM nap every day by time their 23.
