Question: How the heck would the three sea shells in Demolition Man work? Ok. We've all seen Demolition Man at least once in our lives and wondered "How does the three shell system work?". So I am after theories as to how a system like this would cleanse the body after going to the toilet? (No Vulgar descriptions and lets keep this as "clean" as possible...)
Answer: It is an "advanced" version of a bidet. One to wash your backside, one to air dry and the third to apply a perfume or deodorizer so that the "perfect" society won't stink. The sea shells are cosmetic. In a "perfect" society, there can be no ugliness. The shells cover / hide the function of it.
Question: Would a gimmick tag team such as Demolition or Road Warriors work today in WWE? BQ- Fantasy match between both teams in there prime, who would win ?
I knew about Dakota but that would be a great idea for WWE to do something like that.
Answer: Yes.
If fact,Demolition Smash's son Dakota is working for WWE right now.
Hopefully, they'll create a new version of Demolition with him in the future.
Question: how much do you charge for a demolition work?
is a 2 story building that has fire damage, needs to be striped(damaged drywall, rugs, some plywood, floor to be repair(about 8 sf.) and also replace of about 8 rafter ends plus roofing shingle removal. looking for aprox. cost of labor.
Answer: Depends on the job.
Question: How does the 3 shells from the movie "Demolition Man" work?
Answer: Hahaha, thank you for that! I remember wondering the same thing! I was thinking seashells...I don't really wanna imagine that though!
Question: is there a greater need for demolition work with banks because of the foreclosures? I heard that there was a demand for demolition because of foreclosures from the mortgage lenders.
Answer: I have heard nothing about demolition, but there is increased work for general contractors for house repairs, and lock smiths are working overtime changing locks.
Question: The movie Demolition Man - How do the 3 sea shells work?? For the people that have seen it you know what I mean. But for those not to have in the future of this movie instead of toilet paper they have 3 sea shells to clean up with. So my question to anyone that may know is how the hell does that work? I mean they never mention it in the movie as far as I know. So perhaps some of you good people here can be of help to me. Thanks in advance for answering........Jay
Answer: According to Stallone:
"OK, this may be bordering on the grotesque, but the way it was explained to me by the writer is you hold two seashells like chopsticks, pull gently and scrape what’s left with the third. You asked for it…. Be careful what you ask for, sorry."
This may again be part of the ongoing joke as it doesn't seem to be practical. There is a webpage investigating the same question.
Question: How did the 3 sea shells work on 'Demolition Man' (film starring Sly Stallone & Wesley Snipes)?
Answer: You were never shown.
Question: Anyone out there work for ,or has worked for DEMO ONE a demolition company from ,bow east london?
Answer: what if someone like me hasn't worked their yet but still might be able to help you if u asked in the same -5points what u wanted to know
Question: What are the health side effects of concrete demolition dust to humans? I arrived at work to see all employees outdoors due to a visible amount of airborne dust in the office. It was the apparent result of concrete demolition in an annex to the building. Some have complained of throat discomfort and one of headache. What are known side effects to this kind of exposure? Wallboard was not a factor. Doors are open. Industrial fans were on for about two hours. Is there cause for alarm?
Answer: Concrete dust contains high concentrations of silica which can irritate the lungs and if exposure is great enough it can cause silicosis.
Under OSHA regulations whenever dust is generated, air sampling is required.
Question: How could you do a controlled demolition of the WTC? People claim all the time that the WTC was destroyed by a controlled demolition. Whenever I watch buildings destroyed in this manner it takes months of planning and literally miles of detonation cord, a lot of drilling into support columns, teams of engineers inspecting the buildings and other prep work.
Watch a building destroyed in this manner on the discovery channel. Please explain to me how this was concealed. I am curious to hear how this is rationalized.
When terrorists failed to destroy the WTC in '93 was that Clinton trying to destroy the building and he just failed? Were Bush's engineers just more competent?
Never heard of Marvin. Just looked him up. He was no longer affiliated with securecom by 2000.
Answer: Great post!
But sadly, I believe it is all for not. The "conspiracy theorists" among us have made up their minds. And no amount of facts or logic will dissuade them from their anti-Bush fantasies. They seem to need to believe that Bush did it because they cannot deal with the reality of the terrorist attack.
Question: What does an uncontrolled demolition of a building look like? This is geared to everyone who thinks that the WTC collapses were a controlled demolition. For all you demolition "experts" out there, how do you know that an uncontrolled demolition of a skyscraper doesn't look the same as a controlled demolition?
Bill, so you've seen an uncontrolled demolition of a skyscraper?
Answer: With a controlled demolition the charges are placed in the bottom of the building. The building them collapses on itself. ie the top is the last part of the building to come down. Both Twin Towers collapsed from the top first, something you will never see in a controlled explosion. How did the conspirators know for sure that both planes would in fact be successfull in hitting their target .Would they have blown it up anyway ? Or leave tons of explosives there for anyone to find ? Hardly likely.
Question: How does one become a licensed demolition expert in Georgia? On the top of my list of career moves would be explosive demolition. I already have an engineering degree, but I wonder how I could get more training in this occupation (aside from military experience).
Answer: What is wrong with the military? Why do you think you have a chance against the many soldiers with combat experience and proven ability to follow orders and work as part of a large team?
Question: Before starting demolition, how can you tell if a house wall is structural or not? Beginning a major demolition/renovation on a property, and am hesitant about digging right in before I know which walls are structural. I don't want the place crashing in on me.
Withough removing all the drywall so I can see the joists, how can I tell?
Answer: If you do not understand the load bearing structure of a building you are at high risk in what you are doing. You should get more understanding of these systems than you will get on this forum. Ask a contractor.
Question: How long does it take to wire a building with explosives for a controlled demolition? I'm only wondering because Larry Silverstein in a documentary on PBS said the following statements regarding WTC 7 which also fell on 9/11:
I remember getting a call from the, er, fire department commander, telling me that they were not sure they were gonna be able to contain the fire, and I said, 'We've had such terrible loss of life, maybe the smartest thing to do is pull it.' And they made that decision to pull and we watched the building collapse."
So, is it common practice to have explosives in your buildings just in case there is a disaster and you need to quickly demolish it? From my understanding it takes weeks of planning etc. to pull of a demolition...my goodness that man must be psychic to have forseen such things? And if that is the case, did he have "emergency" explosives wired in buildings 1 & 2? To prevent further loss of life, of course.

The video of him stating this on there, if you wish to see it.
Larry Silverstein was the owner of the WTC properties, just in case I didn't make that clear.
Fr-chuck...that seems like a hazard to have that in your building, I sure wouldn't want to work in a place like that...the Pentagon had a lot of stuff in it too...and it was obviously breeched...why didn't they blow that too?
Well then how was he able to "pull" the building the same day...I am thinking for myself...that is why I don't believe the line of crap from Bush....when the OWNER ADMITS TO DEMOLISHING IT?!! What else do you need, seriously!?
Yupchagee, the OWNER said he made the decision to "pull" it, yet you still believe the lies...no jet fuel was on WTC 7, btw. Please at least get your buildings straight.
Bebe, I am only quoting Larry Silverstein and asking people to draw conclusions from that. I'm not wrong to point this out...why shouldn't obvious discrepancies be discussed.
And no I'm not helping the terrorists, stop using Bush's devisive rhetoric to attack someone who uses their brain as opposed to just believing everything they are told.
Answer: bebe submitted a link that began as a strong argument against the conspiracy theories, i was almost convinced, then a reply to the article demolished the writer with piles of evidence to the contrary.....
this is really wierd...... i keep going back and forth,,,, it is hard to believe something so out of the norm
Question: Am I responsible for the demolition of a foreclosed home? My home was foreclosed on last year. Several months ago the home caught on fire. Our city is trying to sue us $7000 for the demolition of the home. Are we responsible for this or the bank who took the home from us?
Answer: they would have to prove that you started it, that it was arson...
Question: why are contracters and demolition crews leaving new orleans? someone said work not started so they left?
Answer: Could be an issue with FEMA or insurance companies not paying them. I'm just guessing though. But my wife works for the government billing department in her company and FEMA is kinda dragging their feet right now.
