Question: Is it ok to use hair restorer on a bald eagle? My friend Bill is a zoo keeper at the local zoo and says he's having a real problem with Brenda the bald eagle. He says the lack of cranial coverage is really affecting her behaviour and making her feel less of a classy bird. Will hair restorer do the job, or should he blu tac some feathers to her head?
Answer: Your friend Bill is an idiot. Everyone knows Bald Eagles wear headdresses which they make from the scalps of the native American Indian tribes who revere them for the magnificent creatures they are. Brenda is already a "classy" bird, too classy in fact to have anything to do with a zoo keeper who wants to spoil her looks with blu tac. Shame upon him. Leave Brenda alone you clueless keeper and take a job in the alligator enclosure. Try putting feathered blu tac on one of them.

Question: Looking for oil painting restorer in South Carolina? I have an old oil painting my grandmother painted. The painting is more than 75 years old and is looking very dark and dirty. There are also a few scratches and a hole in the canvas.
I live in South Carolina. Does anyone know of a nearby restorer that could make this painting look like new again?
Answer: Oh yeah, nice... some guy from china. shipping would be inexpensive, i'm sure (not).
Off the top of my head, I'd contact a local museum, or a large gallery - ask them for reputable sources for someone who's experienced in art restoration. Surely there's sources that they use on a regular basis. Who knows, you might get someone who works at the museum and does private work on the side.
There's always the yellow pages, but then you don't know what you're getting. Best to get a recommendation.
Question: what is the result of a picture that is restored by a proffessional restorer? how would it look like just curious
Answer: It will look as close to the original (without damage) as possible.
Question: Does restore engine restorer actually work? My buddies saturn uses much less oil now than it did before. I'm trying it in my 95 lumina.
Answer: Basically, all this is, is an oil thickener. A friend of mine used it in his car. He was hot rodding a little, had it floored for a short period, and the engine was destroyed since the oil was too thick to flow good. I doubt it was coincidence. Keep this in mind.
Question: can anyone recommend a good photo restorer? my wife has her baby photo and it is damaged. i would like to find a photo restoration place on long island,ny or queens ny. any one know of one.
Answer: Check here:
http://www.hollywoodfotofix.com/
Find the retailer in your area from the search area on the website. I'm sure there will be plenty. You take the photo to them, they scan it, and it is uploaded to Hollywood photo fix and repaired and resent to the camera store where you took the original photo. You will then receive a new, repaired print, and in most cases, the results are very, very good. Your original is never harmed or altered.
